Don't get me wrong I loved this fryer, It helped make tasty golden & crispy chips. I am so glad i purchased from John Lewis rather Than online. I had to return the first one after 5 months as it had stopped heating up. I got another one thinking it was just something up with that patricular appliance, but sadly the 2nd one lasted 3 months before it had packed up too. Forget all the rest - this one actually works. It produces quite the best chips I have ever tasted. The large capacity tank doesn't allow the oil to cool down when a large quanity of food is put into it. It is aso extremely easy to clean, as all the parts can be removed. One I have owned fo ten years still looks like new. I wish I had never wasted money on Delo0nghi, Kenwood, etc. (read more)

Better to buy a cheaper fryer even if it only lasts a year then just replace it with a new one. Mine has been to local engineer who replaced element as it was cooking 20 deg above setting and has also been back to Magimix to have hook adjusted. Still not satisfactory. Don't buy one !!! (read more)

I bought this Deep Fat Fryer from www.Magimix-spares.co.uk and it arrived in 4 days,very excited at purchase and when opened was pleasantly surprised. It really was as good as they say it would be, the chips tasted like proper chips without the soggy bits.The deep fryer is highly recommended. (read more)
