The Tefal 3625717P Smart Clean Metal Bodied works great for me, simple to use, no rocket science needed, does what it says and the chips are good.

I have had my Tefal Smart Clean for about two years. It has been a brilliant frier, has made excellent chips and has been easy to clean in the dishwasher. Replacement filters have been easy to obtain on Ebay. However, now the handle on the basket is falling apart and the lid won't shut. I will seriously consider getting another Tefal, but will also look at competitors.

As I could not find filter on Tefal website I went to my local Spares Shop who said they could order one. When I gave them Model No it came up with metal filter, the one I had taken out was not. I tried to put this in fryer, had a problem with fastening lid and the small clip on the lid broke off - hence I am now having to purchase another fryer. It will not be Tefal.

It has a large capacity frying basket, but I have owned 2 now, and at £50 a time, I am now a dissatisfied customer. Both fryers have stopped working after around 15 - 18 months. Consequently, the warranties had expired. Obviously for an item of this price, it is not worth looking into getting the Tefal 3625717P Smart Clean Metal Bodied fryer repaired.

I don't generally feel comfortable cooking with boiling oil, but with the Tefal 3625717P Smart Clean Metal Bodied Deep Fat Fryer it's safe and easy.

Simply add oil to the level mark in the fryer, preheat, fill the basket with items to be fried, and lower the basket into the oil. The lid closes with a safety latch so you have no fear of spillage.
