Good Points: Extremely solid connections, very fast (48 - 50.6K).

Bad Points: After about 8 months, it wouldn't initialize.
Removed the power for half an hour and it would subsequently connect only at 31.2k

General comments: Easy to install, works with all the o/s I threw at it, and it was one of the best modems I've used, easily comparable to my benchmark unit, an older Supra.
Unfortunately something happened to it whereby the connect rate is only 31.2k now. It's on an APC spike protected phone line, so it should be relatively immune from transients. I will see just how good the 5yr warranty is.

I haven't had this modem very long, but it seems to be a very well made, reliable modem that is everything modems ever have been. This unit costs $50. It is easy to install and set up, all you have to do is plug it into the phone jack, computer and wall socket. The modem is external and for people with limited desk space, this can cause a problem. This is about as good as 56k's can get.
