Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats - Just to reassure people - I read these reviews just after treating my cat with Bob Martins spot-on and I was quite concerned and was watching out for adverse symptoms. Fortunately I can now report (2 days later) that my cat is still alive and doesn't seem to be scratching quite as much. As for the effectiveness of the product lasting 3 months, only time will tell. But don't panic if you read this after treating your cat, it's obviously something that only some cats are allergic to.

Took kitten to PDSA after kitten became unwell after treating with Bob Martins flea spray. Vet said she may have long term neurological damage as at the moment her walking is affected and she keeps shaking her head. She said cats can die from this and advised only using prescription flea treatments that they can supply. Can I also say she said DO NOT EVER give people meds such as piriton to pets. They are not having an allergic reaction. It seems to calm them because it is sedating them but it i ...

I bought the Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats and applied it to my cat that evening. Well the product says after 24 hours will stop the production and it is supposed to last up to 4 weeks? Really? Well 2 days later there seemed twice as many fleas on my cat. I waited the month out and saw no positive results so the next month I bought another and thought I would give it a second try, well, my cat appears to be more infested with fleas than she was to begin with, so I have resorted to the old met ...

Applying Spot On killed one of my cats ! I treated 18 month old brother & sister one evening. 7am the following morning I woke to find Pixie suffering horrendous epileptic fitting and in spite of their best efforts , the vets could not save her . Dixie survived , probably due to her 'cleaning' him? I appeal to producers Bob Martin & retailers such as Tesco to remove the product from the shelves. At best ,all I can hope for is that any warning message that this review sends will help avoid anothe ...

I followed the instructions on the box and applied one application in between the shoulder blades of my cat. Before I had even finished applying all of the solution, he started jumping around, being very agitated, his pupils were dilated and he kept sticking his tongue in and out. He was very distressed which is very unlike him. I came on this website and saw other people's comments on the product, so immediately washed it off him with soap and water. The product was probably only on him for a t ...

We have just got our puppy and noticed that he was scratching, after seeing a flea on him we went to our local store and bought some bob martins spot on, and stain and odor remover. thank fully we applied the spot on 4 days ago and bailey has been fine, but the remover is a different matter all together, bailey was doing extremley well with his litter training until we started using the remover , now he is urinating and soiling all over the house, wherever we have used the stuff. My advice would ...

We used Bob Martins, Multi-purpose Flea Spray just now on our cat and within minutes he was foaming at the mouth, pupils were dilated and he became very irrate and startled. Please do not use this on your pets. Hopefully he will be ok, but we will now have a sleepless night because of this product. Future buyers BEWARE!!!!

Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats is hard to apply to kittens skin because she is just a fluff ball. Going to the vets. Tried powder - waste of money!

I am sorry but I have to agree with all the other bad reviews of Bob Martin's products. I have been using spot-on on my cat, who was infested with fleas. I sprayed her with silent flea spay, which seemed to reason she became ill, shaking and being generally miserable for two days. I do not like this product and will never use it again, I hate using chemicals anyway. After treating her with the silent flea spray we used Bob Martins Spot-On and, low and behold, last night I found another flea on h ...

Like others, I wish I had read these reviews before buying Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats. 7 for a supposed '3 month protection' from fleas and 'now available without prescription' were printed on the front of the package (which is why I purchased this product rather than Frontline that I normally buy for my cat) - what a waste of money. Luckily my cat did not have any adverse reactions, but we now have a flea problem throughout the house. Having spoken to my vet I was told the product will ...

We bought this yesterday because the label said it was suitable for use on pets. After applying to our cat, we then noticed some small print saying something like 'DO NOT APPLY TO ANIMALS'. We immediately threw the cat into a warm soapy bath and took the bottle back to Tesco. Fortunately there appear to have been no side-effects - judging by the reviews here we were lucky. How can they sell this stuff?

I used Bob Martin Cat spot on flea and tick treatment for a mild flea problem on my Cat and two kittens. I used as directed on Saturday night. It is now Thursday and I have combed through their fur and they STILL have as many fleas as Saturday!! Unbelievable! I personally would not recommend this product. I'm taking the cats to the Vet tomorrow.

I think 0.5/10 is letting Bob Martin off lightly. I see their website is down too, so I can't complain directly. Our cat suffered similar reactions to a previous reviewer. He had dilated pupils, unsteady on feet, weakness, general malaise & a shake to match any Parkinson's sufferer. Now, we have only just noticed this after administering the spot-on last night, so I don't know how long he has been like this. So if you think the following "Why is my cat shaking" or "My cat is shaking" as th ...

I will never use Bob Martins spot on flea treatment again, as it gave my cat a bald patch that was raw and sore. Stick to Frontline!

I purchased this product, Bob Martin Vetcare Spot on treatment for fleas from Tesco. It was priced at £7.14 x 2 which was not as priced on the shelves so I only found out at home on the receipt. I used the treatments directly as instructed but they failed to work. I also used the Bob Martin flea spray which also had no effect. I am very disappointed and also annoyed as the product states the cats cannot be treated again for another 3 months and are still suffering from fleas. I am very dis ...

Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats certainly looks convincing on the shelf; promising to keep your little mate flea free and happy. And the new "Vetcare" range was sold to me as "just like a vets prescription" but cheaper. Last year, having had my kitty for only a few months, we put our faith in the Bob Martin Spot On products, regularly treating her every month. Until... the black specks appeared on our white kitty! I was horrified. We tried every powder and spray possible but nothing worked. ...

I'm surprised to hear these reviews as I have never had a problem with the flea treatment. However I have used it to prevent fleas not to treat them. When applied my cat hasn't had a single one.
