I could not agree more. Last week I inadvertently applied Bob Martins Spot On to my cat and within a few hours she became quite seriously ill, vomiting, diaorrhea and extremely distressed. This reaction, and her general malaise, continued for several hours. Thankfully she has now recovered but I am so incensed that this product is so widely available and so poisonous. A huge lesson well learned by yours truly. BUT when will this vile product be removed from the shelves???

Used Bob martin Flea treatment for 6 months, then discovered the cat, and now my house is infested with fleas. Applied a dose immediately ( would have been due the monthly dose in a few days time) and called the vet. Was informed that Bob Martin treatment is notoriously ineffective and also potentially harmful to the cat. Purchased an alternative product Advocate but was told that this cannot be applied for another 2 weeks as the chemicals in Bob martin are very toxic and applying another treatment is too dangerous for the cat. I have spent 3 days spraying each room in the house to try and control the fleas and counting the days til I can apply the alternative product. I will also have to pay £279.00 to have the house professionally cleared of fleas.

used bob martin all clear for several years found it as good as what gave me perhaps your cat was just unlucky and had reaction. I cannot take antibiotics yet most people can. could be same with your cat dos'nt mean it should be withdrawn

No product should be on the market that can harm and kill animals. Too many cats have suffered using Bob Market products not just mine. Google it and you will see the pictures and reports of the suffering animals.

Our 4 yr old cat has 2 fits in the past few months .....on taking him to the vet after the last seizure when he damaged his left paw..we were told it was most lie,ly caused by Bob Martin spot on flea treatment, as cat epilepsy is very rare. We worked out that the seizures had taken place within a few days of applying the treatment.... To say we were appalled is an understatement...the vets assured us that they were doing everything possible to try to get this vile product banned....

I applied spot on at two of my 3 yo cats. One seems to tolerate it okay but second cat has lost half of her hair and keeps leaving balls of hair on carpet wherever she goes. I am shocked and very worried for her. Will need to take to hospital and check if she is alright. Don't be buying it. I only got it because it is in Asda near to my house and clinics around me only offer injection, which I strongly oppose.

Applied the product as instructed and noticed instantly that it was burning my cats hair. Washed the product of immediately but it had left a huge gaping sore which was bleeding. Sulphuric acid does pretty much the same thing! I was was more than distressed to think I had put my adorable pet through such pain. And before Bob Martin tries to blind me with science...I am a chemist and I work in pharmaceutical research so please no excuses....your batch testing requires immediate attention......!!!!!!!!!!

Used on my one year old cat ,he went into shock and started fitting ,rushed him to the vets who anesthetized him and we had him Unconscious for the worst 3 days I can remember, then the vet tried to bring him around slowly but he started fitting again so he had to be put to sleep !!so don't use this product because its cheaper than others unless you want a dead cat and a £900 vet bill !!

I brought bob martin spot on for my 11 week old kitten as he had a few fleas. Only pplied a few drops (only) to the back of his neck as he is so small... Within a few minutes he was scratching the area like mad and running all over the place. I knew something was up, so googled reviews of the product! Simply awful reviews!!!! I washed it all off with warm water and baby shampoo. Poor kitty was a mess after (drowned rat!) but at least he's okay. I don't know how the heck bob martin is still in business. No side effects mentioned on the packet either!!!

My male cat is turning 8 months shortly. A month ago I notice he had fleas so I got Bob Martin spot on which I bought in Tesco, would not trust eBay where some people on here have purchased theres. I combed the cat until I could no longer find any flea and put the spot on onto the cats nack , it's says not to get it on the fur but it's near impossible as I found out.The cat was sleepy and abit off but was probably just me stressing it out was fine the next day it also went off its food but I've put that down to coming into maturity . I found that it did not work anyway the fleas where still living so I gave him a bath got the Bob Martin spray and used it on him and everywhere in the house after a day I found dead ones on the cat when it was combed was delighted so continued with that from then on but it was like the began to become immune to it because the came back in force so I give him a bath today and seen all the marks on his skin from the fleas and him biting himself so I'm now goin to take him to the vet instead of wasting my time. Safely say we're both Fed up of fleas! thank God my cat didn't get a reaction like others I think il go vet first from now on

Bob martin's... This product should be banned, in fact all of it! Owners are buying this to protect their poor pets from fleas without knowing that this is later eventually going to kill their pets! My cat also died because of this, and she was actually pregnant at the time and I'm happy the kittens did not get affected. I will not rest until Bob Martins is completely wiped off the shelves and internet, and banned.

Do not buy, I bought this product thinking I was doing right but as soon as I applied my 18 month old cat was wobbling and then just layed down would not eat or drink and looked so poorly. The next day I took him to the vets and after a costly injection and a syringe of liquid he started to come round after 48 hours do not use this product or the worming product they are dangerous. Minus stars.

Do not use anything containing Permethrin. This pesticide has been banned for home gardeners' use for several years due to toxicity - so how can it be permitted as an ingredient for use inside the home and on our pets?!

I've given my 2 adult cats this treatment today they have been very sleepy and haven't eaten or drank I am now getting extremely worried since I have googled this and found these reviews I wish I had of read these earlier as I wouldn't have given the cats the treatment. How can they get away with selling this poison.

2 weeks ago,I bought the spot on flea treatment for my cat. 2 days later, I awoke at midnight to him stumbling down the stairs. He had a wobbly gait in his hind legs and was generally twitching. He is 16 and on a special renal diet for decreased renal function. I thought the worst ,thinking it was end stage renal failure. I took him to an emergency vet (at cost of £218 ) and vet took bloods. Amazingly, his renal function was very good (the diets work) and the vet was mystified. She suggested I took him home and observed him. I took the next day off work and gradually , he returned to normal within 24 hours. I hadn't made the connection with the flea treatment, but when I did, I googled it and all sorts of horror stories emerged about toxicity in cats and even fatalities. After reading the symptoms, I am convinced this was the cause. There are reports of putting the dog one on a cat being really dangerous, but this was definitely the cat one. Please be warned, I just wouldn't risk it ever again. Back to my usual frontline now which incidentally, you can buy at certain pharmacists now. I am going to report this to vets pharmaceuticals too.I can't describe how happy I am he is back to his normal self, lying in the sunshine and enjoying life.
