I've been using this for the last ten years from the beginning of my life with Peppi. I discovered with my previous cat that it does not work when you have already got fleas in your house or on your cat. Until I used chemicals my cat had problems related to flea allergies. It is fantastic as a preventative, though, and although my cat goes outdoors every day, she has never needed ANY chemical flea treatment, and nor has my house. It's made from plant oil, unlike all the other anti-flea treatments I know of on the market, most of which contain organophosphates. You can use it on kittens, too. One word of warning: follow the directions on the pack. I once nearly used the rabbit version when the cat one was out of stock, and then read that it is highly dangerous to cats.

Having read the reviews on here after I bought this product, I was really worried about trying this on my one year old tortie. I needn't have worried. The product was absolutely fine. No side effects etc or horror stories like the ones on here.

    Would recommend this product.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Used it on my cat - 16 years old - back in the summer. Within 3 days she had completely lost the use of her back legs, could not walk and her head was severely tilted to one side. Her eyes were darting back and forth as though she was on a fast train. Had to have 2 visits to the vets and it was touch and go whether she would make it. She slowly made a recovery but still has the occasional wobble. DO NOT USE
Would give minus stars if I could

DO NOT USE THIS! My cat was frothing at the mouth afterwards and very distressed. I wish I had not used this. Hopefully she will be ok. This should be banned. It is cruel.

Used the Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats - Silent Spray on my 20 week old kitten and the powder on the carpets, now the kitten is lethargic, dribbling and depressed. Given her a bath to try and get rid of the stuff and crossing fingers sge will be ok.

Totally USELESS!!!! I administered Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats this twice in a fortnight to my cats as well as Bob Martin's flea powder. I also sprayed the entire house 3 times with Bob Martin's flea spray. All products were absolutely ineffective.

I would Never in a million years recommend Bob Martin's products to anyone. We used it on our cat and it was allergic to it and died painfully with fits. Even friends who have bought the products whose pets were lucky not to die, stated that the fleas remained on the pets. This products is the worst on the market. Save your money more importantly save your pets. I am so devastated. I give this zero for quality or value. but I had to press the button or it would not let me submit this.

I have used spot on (Bob Martin) on both my cat and dog. After using this product both animals fell ill....sick everywhere. I assumed cos we live in Cyprus it could have been the weather. I can say that neither animals had fleas after using this product, I also used the spot on de-wormer on both and again neither have worms.....but they were both very sick and lafagic (sorry about spelling) Unfortunately our dog has passed away so it just leaves the cat.

I think this product should be reported to trading standards. My precious siamese fell ill after one dose of the spot on flea treatment. Our pets are priceless to us and mean everything. Where is the evidence to show that this product is safe, or again you don't care, it's all about the money etc!!!!! What do you have to say Bob???!!!!!!
If I had the choice my star rating would be a big minus!!!!!!!!

We've been adopted by a cat, who I now call Buddy and though Buddy had no fleas, I wasn't too sure about worms - who has been hanging around for the past three weeks. Anyway, I went to Asda and bought some Bob Martin Dewormer. I was dubious, as I had tried a Bob Martin product on one of my cats maybe eight years ago (a tablet wormer - she wouldn't eat it and she started frothing at the mouth!). Anyway, I thought I'd give Bob Martin another go, this time trying the powder variety...

    I mixed it i ...

I used Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats on my cat a couple of times and although there were no ill effects, there were no positive ones either! It didn't seem to make any difference at all.

In the end I took my cat to the vet and paid for a yearly injection that seemed to make a huge difference within a couple of days.

You get what you pay for I guess!

Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats - Just to reassure people - I read these reviews just after treating my cat with Bob Martins spot-on and I was quite concerned and was watching out for adverse symptoms. Fortunately I can now report (2 days later) that my cat is still alive and doesn't seem to be scratching quite as much.
As for the effectiveness of the product lasting 3 months, only time will tell. But don't panic if you read this after treating your cat, it's obviously something that only som ...

Took kitten to PDSA after kitten became unwell after treating with Bob Martins flea spray. Vet said she may have long term neurological damage as at the moment her walking is affected and she keeps shaking her head. She said cats can die from this and advised only using prescription flea treatments that they can supply. Can I also say she said DO NOT EVER give people meds such as piriton to pets. They are not having an allergic reaction. It seems to calm them because it is sedating them but it i ...

I bought the Bob Martin Flea Spot On For Cats and applied it to my cat that evening. Well the product says after 24 hours will stop the production and it is supposed to last up to 4 weeks? Really? Well 2 days later there seemed twice as many fleas on my cat. I waited the month out and saw no positive results so the next month I bought another and thought I would give it a second try, well, my cat appears to be more infested with fleas than she was to begin with, so I have resorted to the old met ...

Applying Spot On killed one of my cats ! I treated 18 month old brother & sister one evening. 7am the following morning I woke to find Pixie suffering horrendous epileptic fitting and in spite of their best efforts , the vets could not save her . Dixie survived , probably due to her 'cleaning' him? I appeal to producers Bob Martin & retailers such as Tesco to remove the product from the shelves. At best ,all I can hope for is that any warning message that this review sends will help avoid anothe ...
