Good Points: Good layout, easy to shop, reasonable prices, well trained staff, and inspiring products.
General comments: I enjoyed the whole shopping experience, the staff were well trained and really welcoming (York). They looked at what would suit my needs and explained the features of certain products. They considered the size of my room, and the style i was looking for. They stayed within my budget, and even helped me select suitable room dressings.
The few bad points I experienced were that they seemed short staffed on my visit, each member of staff was in high demand, and we had to wait 5 minutes for a staff member. Nevertheless they were still attentive to each customer, and seemed well organised.
The York store has 3 floors and no lift, the member of staff explained it was a listed building and could not be adapted, and did offer to bring us anything we wanted to see.

recently bought a so called cashmere throw from Habitat which turned out to be a lambswool throw. when i tried to return the item i was told that was the name of the article not what it was made of. to me its like calling a glass of wine a camel? i was left wondering if the staff at Habitat really know what they are selling? so i advise to look carefully at what you are buying!

If you want something quick - Fab, but if you want Bedding/Chairs/Tables etc - Forget it
Delivery is too long and they want your cash first.

I would recommend Habitat to a friend, but only if something was done with regards to the unbearable temperature!! Shouldn't they look after their staff and customers a bit better? After all Habitat is a prestigious brand...?
I went to three stores in London and the temperature in all of them is extremely hot, making the shopping experience more of an ordeal than anything else.
