Have visited hotel twice once on my own once with partner. The beaches are beautiful and the sunsets are stunning some staff were very nice and the beer goes down to well. Met nice Canadian people. People commented about begging in Havana but a few of the staff were always asking for shoes baseball caps etc. especially when we had a few beers that was not nice. Food seemed Ok in hotel at first but soon got very boring nice restaurants in Varadero. Although rooms were ok but air conditioning very loud. I love Cuba but intend to try other hotels next time.

Myself and my partner have just returned from a two week holiday at Breezes Varadero, and I must say that it was excellent. OK, the decor is slightly dated, but that is to be expected, and the food isn't the greatest, but it was better than I had been expecting. The rooms were kept spotless, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they would even go out of their way to explain things when the language barrier caused problems! The beach was one of the best I've ever experienced, and I h ...

I wouldn't go back to the SuperClubs Breezes Varadero in Cuba; not because of the hotel, but because of the Country. People are very poor and live in very low standards, not by choice of course. The begging in Havana was a pain, but expected.
You must go to Old Havana, it was wonderful.

We recently honeymooned at Breezes in Cuba, and what a nightmare it turned out to be.
Service was terrible, food was below standard, the resort was awful, with chipped tiles, broken doors, mouldy pillows, and no one spoke English very well.
Some guests got drunk and cursed at the top of their lungs in the middle of the night for hours, while their security looked on leaving other guests to fend for themselves. Isn't that the job of their security staff?
We would be lucky if we got ...

Visited the Varadero beach, SuperClubs Breezes Varadero hotel with my partner September 2004 and thought it was excellent!! Have been to a number of other islands in the Caribbean so I am speaking from experience! The resort is huge with an excellent choice of restaurants and bars, with the food also being spot on! Nearly every night there were food safety checks as you were eating which IS very good to see!! The beach was great and the water lovely! If you get a chance and like a bit of a livel ...

My fianc e and I visited the SuperClubs Breezes Varadero last Christmas and had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and some went out of their way to assist my fianc e, who is blind.
The food (albeit not perhaps gastronomical) was quite good, to the point that I gained four pounds.
The rooms were clean, and I enjoyed the origami towel folding (into swans) quite amusing.
I did not find the staff too eager for tips, but tips were always graciously accepted. ...

SuperClubs Breezes Varadero in Cuba is NOT the same as a 4 star in Mexico or anywhere else. Not very clean, terrible food, aweful entertainment.
Varadero has a great beach
