Good Points: none
Bad Points: not enough stock, do not believe in refunds or replacements. bully you out of the shop if you are a woman on your own.
General comments: took a drill back to Focus DIY after 9 months use , told by the manager i had used it too much all the tools they sell are for 'hobby' use or diy once every cople of months. i said this is not written in the shop when you buy, he said all the things they sell even lawnmowers are only for occasional use. whats the point of buying from this shop it should be called a hobby shop. got no joy at head office still no refund.i would advise anybody not to buy from this shop if you actually want to take the item out of the box and use it !!!!!!

I've shopped at B&Q and Wickes for many years but decided to give Focus a try. My first visit to Focus will be my last. The whole place looked as if they were about to close down and the staff were disorganised. Long time (10 minutes or more) at checkout because they didn't appear to know how to process a refund for someone else. No apology for long wait - I don't think they could have cared less.- Read rossa's review (87 words)

went in to purchase floor tiles, got help very quickly from friendly staff who helped out to car afterwards with tiles. got home and found out the boxes contained broken tiles, took back and staff member I dealt with seemed rude towards me, I felt they did not believe the tiles were broken when purchased, asked why i would buy broken tiles??? on whole, store prices are average, checkout staff very friendly and chatty, but avoid taking things back.- Read Guest's review (88 words)

In my experience they always seem to kick up a fuss about returns, always appear to be short staffed, it took 1 hr just to place an order in store. I have experienced constant messups with my orders.
Current kitchen offer was good value... I just don't advise to order anything they don't stock!- Read florble's review (56 words)

Went to Sudbury, Suffolk branch of Focus DIY and found the staff most delightful, extremely helpful and cheerful, unusual in this day and age. They offered to carry out my purchases to the car and helped to load them without being asked.
Would certainly recommend them and always do.- Read den777's review (63 words)

Focus DIY: I have been back to the shop in Reading 3 times to buy a privacy lock set for my bathroom door. In my experience the manufacturing standards of Focus's suppliers for this product are extremely poor. I've fitted the handles/locks correctly, but in my experience the poor quality means that there is enough give between the two door handles along the spindle for someone to open the bathroom door from the outside even when it has been locked from the inside.- Read uzimc's review (101 words)

Focus DIY - Yesterday we were planning to purchase £800-1000 materials (tiles, etc.) since we had just moved home. When I went to the information desk and asked about the 10% discount scheme, the girl at the information desk had no idea what I was talking about.
She got a colleague who called another one who then found the brochure that had been within the girl's reach all the time.
The store did not have enough of the materials available that we wanted to purchase so we needed to put in ...- Read asdfasdf's review (223 words and 1 comment)

I visited the Widnes Focus DIY in merseyside and was greated by a young lady on the checkouts who was extremely friendly and courtious. I was buying some garden furniture and she was not only very helpful in getting a member of staff to get the furniture for me she was polite and well mannered. I was very pleased with the service I received and would like to let Focus know she is a credit to the store.- Read suzie q's review (91 words)
