    There are a few things that will go wrong with this truck 1. fuel pump, ball joints, transmission of course, doors sticking, heater core, brake booster. I bought mine new in 98 and I have 220,127 miles on it with no engine work at all. It still runs strong if I would have treated it just a little nicer in the beginning it wouldn't have given me hardly any problems.I just couldn't resist the power of the ZR-2 package and kept it on road.

    I have had the truck in the shop at least once a week. The service engine light comes on every few miles. They have done every thing to it an it still has a problem. I only have had it for 3 months. An this is where I spend my time at the shop with it.
    The service engine light won't stay off.

    My ZR-2 S-10 is the best truck I could have gotten. I am a college student, and so naturally I respect the power that the Vortec V-6 outputs in 4X4. The truck itself is a beautiful truck that runs great. I would DEFINATELY Recommend this truck to any person looking to go offroad.
