Good Points: The tech guys do know what they are talking about.
General comments: Well, Eclipse Computers, where do I start?
They are quite possibly the worst company that I have ever had the misfortune of buying from. Everything that you buy from them has Eclipse Stickers all over them, including warranty stickers over system's case openings (so if you open your computer up, you void your warranty). They also open up every box (by which i mean it looks as though they really tear into them) so that everything I have received looks totally second hand. They said that this was so that they could then re-seal it with their sticker so that they know if you have opened it. Why not just put it over the unopened opening?
I have ordered one complete system from them (for the office), and a system in components (for the home). System works ok so far, although it has only been a few weeks. Components on the other hand have been a nightmare. Firstly my case was broken and they would not take it back as I did not report it for 3 days (apparently they only take stuff back within 2 days) as they suggested that I had inflicted the damage myself in said time.
My order was fairly large and they dispatched it in 3 seperate consignments over 1 week. Once the last parcel had been delivered I realised that I was still missing a hard drive, so I phoned them straight away and asked where it was. It is now 3 weeks later and I have demanded to talk to the owner of the company, rather than the customer service assistant who seems to always give me an excuse. They firstly told me that it was sent in my last consignment, then changed their mind a few days later saying that it was sent in my first consignment although I have delivery notes with that one specifically stating that it was not in there. They told me yesterday that they had looked all over the warehouse for my drive but could not find it, so as far as we are concerned the matter is closed and that is final. It is quite clearly not closed or final as I am not happy yet. Sorry about eloqution here, I'm getting annoyed just writing about this.
Don't be fooled by value for money.

I was 13-14 and my Dad was buying me my first new PC, we spent hours looking for parts and comparing, we was shocked at the prices and how cheap they were.We didn't order online but went to the store and gave the specs of the computer ( £1800), we got constant phone calls saying the item isn't in stock and they have given us some better hardware for free, all was great but the apparent excuses got worse. They told us they hadn't got silver DVDRW's in, they would have to give us a black one ...

i was a bit wary of buying from Eclipse Computers after reading so many bad reviews but i got tempted by the cheap prices so took a chance on them, everything was fine for a while and everything i ordered turned up on time and worked like it should. then one time i ordered a new graphics card i specified parcel force next day delivery and paid the extra for it, the parcel didn't turn up so i called the parcel force who said they had no record of my parcel so i naturally got worried and called e ...

TV card also didn't work. Computer broke constantly sent it back yet again, for them to re-install windows, got it back 2 weeks later blue screen of death is back I've had a friend open the pc up because eclipse did not seem very helpful to me. It appeared to be glue gunned together inside making it extremely hard replacing RAM etc. It looks to me as if this is so no one else can change parts bar eclipse, which I find unacceptable as I've spent so much money I believe I should be able to do what ...

We bought a PC from Eclipse Computers a couple of years back and found the experience extremely unsatisfactory. Firstly the computer didn't work correctly and came with a faulty component. Secondly, they had apparently built the computer to be a lower spec than what we paid for, and had glued the PC case shut and covered it with stickers telling us we would void the guarantee if we opened it. Yes, they even had the nerve to try and tell us we were at fault for opening the PC up to confirm our su ...

I have used www.eclipse-computers.com a couple of times now, and would not recommend them particularly. I think their website is not very well designed, particularly the stock counters, and this leads to very long delays between placing and receiving larger orders, if an item which is usually in stock as mentioned on the web turns out not to be. I live fairly close by, and the shop appears not very good either, with long queues for both purchasing and technical support, and very short opening ho ...

Ordered from Eclipse Computers using their website www.eclipse-computers.com but on delivery screen had red tint due to faulty graphics card!
6 weeks later DVD tray jammed in out position! Despite reporting the initial DVD drive problem and asking for it to be fixed under the warranty eclipse refuse to collect the PC under the premier30 warranty insisting I post it, with its DVD tray stuck out, at my own expense!!!

Eclipse Computers have failed to answer emails, rarely seem to pick up the phone. I have been waiting for nearly 2 months to get my PC from them! First problems with motherboards, then with memory. When the system arrived initially, after a five week delay, it didn't work, wouldn't even switch on. I have since sent it back for repair. They have said my system was 'on the bench being looked at' and then the following day saying it was 15th in the queue and there was a '16 working-day delay'. When ...

Following on from my good experiences with Eclipse last time (see my earlier review) I placed another order.
This time I only ordered a DVD Writer and pack of CDs, both of which were in stock, these cost £45 + £4.50 postage. The order was placed at 2PM on Monday and the goods were delivered at noon the following day, less than 24 hours from ordering.
Again, I didn't receive any dispach confirmation, only an order confirmation, which can make things difficult if you have to pla ...

I purchased a GigaByte 3D Aurora ATX Case which was the cheapest I found at £90 including vat, but excluding postage, which as you can imagine on a rather heavy case is a lot. I purchased the case via their internet site, and it cost me £88 including next day delivery. Today, Friday, is the next day, it's not 8.21am... Ding*dong... Parcelforce with my case.
I'm lost for words! Getting woken up for delivery which only cost me £6 for a case!
I checked around the net, a ...

I ordered a writer and enclosure from Eclipse Computers, and they didn't have one item in stock (I found out after I queried the delay of four days), so I asked for submission of an exact same product, just with a different fascia, and I received it the next day.

Eclipse computers (www.eclipse-computers.com): I've purchased and built over the last 6 months, 2 computers. All parts purchased from eclipse computers.
The value is absolutely outstanding, and I've found no where that can possibly compete.
Similar to the previous review on here, there was a delay in the delivery due to an out of stock item, however, despite the claim "internet orders are only supported via email" the telephone support staff are more than happy to help when you quote your ...
