Bad Points: Poor customer service
General comments: Booked flights for Greece for my honeymoon 3 months in advance on Expedia. 3 weeks prior to departure, Olympic Airlines Athens Mykonos leg changed without notice, contacted Expedia who contacted Olympic, was on hold for two hours waiting for a resolution from Olympic. Optional flights did not fit my hotel and sightseeing itineraries. Point being I was charged for a flight for a specific day and paid the bill, done deal. I feel that I should have been placed on any Olympic flight for that specific day. To top it all off they apparently hung up on my Expedia Rep and myself. How do you charge someone and not provide adequate alternatives when things change? I think that is bad business.

Having taken a chance on Olympic I am glad we did as both the flight and the service were great. I had read the reviews on this site with interest before we left and being a nervous flyer was dreading the experience. However I was pleased to find that my worries were not warranted as the flight was on time, smooth and far better than imagined. I went through all the reviews before I added mine. Recently I was on an OA flight from Manchester to Athens return, and I must say that I enjoyed it. How many airlines now days offer nice meals on a "in Europe" flight? Only 2 that I am aware off, Olympic and Checz. That it. All other offer you a bad quality sandwich or mixed salad, coffee and water. And you pay even more.
The only downside of the story is that FAS could be more friendly (yet there were not bad but could do better) and perhaps ...

This airline is really poor and whenever possible I try to use Agean. We had a problem with a cancelled flight due to bad weather from one of the islands back to Athens. They told us to come back in 2 days. Yes, really - 2 days. Agean were still flying despite the weather and had plenty of spare seats, so we flew back to Athens with them and then made the connection to Paris. This has to be the worst national airline I have ever been on. I was travelling from Heathrow to Athens and back and I had a completely mediocre flight. It was Easyjet standard for British Airways money and to be honest I wished I had paid the extra £40 to travel with them. I think that because they monopolize the Greek market they stopped paying attention to what the customer wants. My advice; pay extra and travel BA or make your plans more flexible and fly Aegean.

Although I'm afraid of flying, I was able to find comfort in an Olympic airway flight. In my beliefs it's one of the most trusted airline out there. Great pilots, great seats, individual tvs. If you're heading to Greece and have a choice, chose Olympic Airlines.

Dubai to Rome via Athens & return with Olympic Airlines. Every flight started late. Service generally indifferent - not as cheery and engaging as most. Food was different - but slow coming on the return flight. FA's not very 'present' - ie served and then disappeared! Both flights had limited in-flight entertainment (headphones and ceiling screens). I would recommend booking with Aegean Air for service in and around Greece. Olympic makes all U.S. airlines look great from every angle. This was the most confused and disorganized airline I have ever had the misfortune of flying. I also felt that the planes were not the cleanest nor the best maintained. This includes all the airplanes I have flown on in both Central and South America....and that is saying something.

Truly awful airline, deserves to go bust. Fly with anyone else instead.
I strongly urge everyone to avoid this airline. Businesses that are this badly run with such a complete disregard for their customers do not deserve to exist.
I am a very frequent flyer and have experienced many travel delays and many airlines. Without question this is the worst airline I've flown with.
I paid over £500 for 2 returns to fly from Gatwick to Athens because I live near to Gatwick and wanted ...

Olympic are a good airline, definitely one of the best airlines to use if you want to go to Greece. Their food is unrivalled. The entertainment is good - on the return from Athens we had an A340-300, one of Olympics largest planes, and that plane had seat back video screens.
They are great value for money - we went to Crete in a family of 5, and it costed about £250 pp, but if we had booked with British Airways it would of costed double the price.

When I go to Greece I always fly with Olympic Airlines (Brussels - Athens) because it's a good airline! It's true that the stewards/stewardesses are a bit rude sometimes, and that their flights are always delayed etc., but don't forget that Olympic is one of the best airlines in the world for security, and the food is always very delicious.
I will fly again with them on the 23rd of December 2005.

I flew twice within a week with Olympic Airlines except a small delay the food was great the service above average. The space per seat was best I have seen around for a while. Definetely a relaxing flight carrier.

I flew 4 flights in 2 weeks with Olympic. 3 flights delayed by up to 3 hours. Fourth flight cancelled altogether. We were given seats on a flight leaving two and a half hours later but were not told it was going to Heathrow rather than our original destination to Gatwick. Our car was at Gatwick and when we asked about transportation from Heathrow we received, basically, a shrug of the shoulders. Olympic is THE WORST airline we have ever used.

All of my flights with Olympic Airlines were delayed, they lost my luggage for three days, it turned out that they had left it in Heathrow! The facilities on the plane were disgustingly dirty, the food terrible and the air hostesses were very rude. I will NEVER fly with them again!

My Olympic Airlines flight was OA 175 from Athens to Munich with a 30 minute stop in Thessaloniki. The flight was on time and the crew was very helpful. The food was excellent (Traditional greek menu) and the leg room was the best I have ever seen on a plane flying this route (Lufthansa, Aegean Airlines). The in flight entertainment program was very interesting. The airline also holds a safety record (no accident since 1974).

I flew with Olympic Airlines Athens - New York and back, the Departure was on time on both flights, very good and helpful cabin crew, ample leg room in economy. Very good food service.
