I have a 18 week old little girl and have used mothercare throught my pregancy and have always had great,helpful and very polite experience. last week i returned an item to the Bury store and was extremely shocked at the rude,unhelpful and intimating experience.I asked for some advice on a umberella for a stroller i had bought for holiday, to be told thaqt if it doesnt fit then it doesnt fit end of.I returned to the store with my voucher the same staff was extremely unhelpful.They carried on… Read Full Review

We went to the chester store for some help and advice as what to do with our 8 week old baby who is too long for his crib which is in our room; but we dont want to move him to his cot in his nursery yet, especially since the guidelines suggest they should be in with us for 6 months. “Mothercare poor customer returns for faulty zips”

I have bought 3 items recently from mothercare a changing bag and 2 padded snow suits every single item the zips have broken the changing bag has 3 zips which now all just stay wide open the bag cost £30 when i went into the store explaining how the bag was not fit for purpose was told the manager was on her lunch, after insisting she saw the bag i then received a message back through another member of staff that there was nothing they could do without the receipt - found manager very rude… Read Full Review

I went into the Crown point store this evening to order my daughter a Silver Cross Linear Pram / Pushchair in Charcoal colour that included in the offer a free Car seat at a total of £435 which is a saving of over £100. Yesterday we ordered Darlington Cod bed set, and paid directly. We were so happy to finalize this purchase as this was a very time and energy consuming process for a pregnant woman. We eliminated other options (i.e., Stokke, Ikea) and decided on Mothercare. We measured our small limited spaces several times to fit this set. “NEVER RECEIVED ITEMS- TWICE IN ONE MONTH!!”

Mothercare online is poorly organised. I placed 2 separate orders in December, both of which I was told were out of stock (after I contacted Mothercare 2 weeks of ordering), far too late to go elsewhere to order in time for Christmas. For someone with a young baby, the last thing I want to be doing is chasing orders that haven't arrived. “The place is a shambles!”

Short version: there are a large number of companies vying for your baby business, save yourself the time, hassle and eventual disappointment and shop with anyone other then mothercare. My delivery has been lost. I have been told a numer of different stories like its beinf held at ashford depo, its lost, its been damaged and have also been accused of signing for it and receiving it. “Avoid a sinking ship”

I wouldn't order from these people as they know nothing about looking after customers or customer care. I ordered items late December and was not even given an acknowledgement but they took my money I have struggled for two months to get my money back, after ringing them emailing them using twitter and even trading standards thats when I got my money back. We have always used Mothercare and in the past have been happy with the service and quality of the products we bought, I have to say however that we have recently been using the Blackburn store and have found that the standard of service is terrible. Myself and my wife used the in store baby plan section as it was sold to us so well in the bluewater store. We selected our items easily and paid for the before the date that they specified. This was the easy part. “unreliable delivery and unhelpful customer service”

Similar experience to everyone else. Mattress paid for but not delivered in promised time frame, unable to track progress and no effort made by customer service staff to find out, they keep blaming the supplier which is irrelevant because I paid mothercare and bought the product from them. Still waiting for mattress, have not received any call backs from customer service as promised and most frustratingly they seem to be shunning any sense of responsibility. “AVOID”

I ordered two isofix bases after having a car accident and made sure I paid the extra £6.95. Not only did they not send the item out but now are refusing to give me a refund due to someone loosing the item. I now have two car seat and no bases to put them on. My poor kids and I are stuck in doors and their customer services could care less. I am on my way to speaking to trading standards to try and get the money back! Mothercare needs to take lessons in customer service! I ordered a changing table and received a phone call from the delivery company they use (DX Nightfreight) saying it would come on Wednesday and that they would text the evening before with a shorter time slot. I placed an order online for a mino pushchair on a sunday. On wednesday, the order was still processing. I thought it rather odd and gave them a call. A snotty sounding adviser answered and almost rudely stated that it will be down for a delivery on the friday, the 5th day for delivery.
