After having purchased the My3 Pushchair system from Mothercare, the chassis developed a fault after 4 months whereby the brakes would stick in locked mode and thus very hard to unlock the wheels when needed. Also, the front wheel started to wobble and become unstable.

Mothercare's customer support was terrible in resolving this, roboticly stating that they would have to send the unit away to see if it really was a manufacturers fault before trying to repair it (as if we had in some way broken it ourselves), and that we "might" get a courtesy one while we waited. This wasn't a like-like one at all.

Why shops like this continue to exist and get orders I do not now. How much better it would have been if they supplied an exchange upfront -but no.

We will never be ordering anything of high value from Mothercare again.

We ordered our pram from Mothercare as it was promised express next day delivery which we paid more for. The pram arrived 5 days later - no way express. I waited for the delivery at home with two kids & all they offer is a verbal apology from someone in a call centre!
The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The call centre apparently takes all the complaints, provides the customer with many excuses & little else.
I will not be shopping at mothercare again - it doesn't deserve my custom. ...

I bought a concord neo buggy from mothercares fulham store which then closed down so i had to go to their hammersmith store when my buggy had break problems. They took my buggy in for repairs which they told me would take 3 weeks. They gave me a loner stroller which looked absolutely filthy, it appeared to have old food stuck to it and it rattled loudly when I used it on a pavement. After 3 weeks mothercare had not contacted me regarding my buggy so i gave them a call they took my details but i nev ...

We had a serious problem with a Maclaren stroller from Mothercare (which left my wife completely distraught) and we complained to the Mothercare Head Office (in Cherry Tree Road). On the face of it they showed concern, but in reality we found them to seem highly unprofessional in their dealings with us. When we complained we felt as though we were ignored and we have not received a reply to our letters as of yet. So, if you are worried about buying over the internet because it is difficult to ...

We shopped on the internet after trying a Quinny at a store to see if it would fit. The internet store let us down so we ended up buying from Mothercare anyway. Save the stress and just buy from Mothercare while you're there!

I have had many problems with Mothercare, the first was when I had phoned my local branch in Surrey Quays to see if they had the highchair I wanted in store. They told me they had and I went to purchase it within the store, upon arriving I was told by a rather brash member of staff there wasn't any. My husband then asked if he could buy the £29.99 model we wanted which was on display at a discount, despite the model on display coated in a layer of grey dirt and the harness straps generally ...

I rang up customer care to ask where the buggy i had ordered was when it had been sent out to me 2 days earlier yet I still hadn't received it. They told me that they had to look into it and would get back to me. I waited an hour and had heard nothing back, so I rang up again and was rudely told that they only had one person looking into the enquiries, but someone would definitely ring me back. I waited in all day to hear back and no one rang me back, I was very disappointed and when the buggy d ...

They have a good selection of products under one roof. However, they are often more expensive than elsewhere and I have found the quality of clothing at next and M&S to be much better (the clothes cope with washing better). Service in store and also online is awful. When I buy online and contact the service team by e-mail I'm lucky to get a reply at all. I give my loyalty to stores that deliver on customer service. Stores, such as Mothercare, that give the impression of not caring about customer ...

Now, all in all, Mothercare isn't a bad shop - the toys are priced ok, the clothing's of a good quality and cheaper than say, Next, and of equal quality, the toilets are well equipped with facilities such as changing mats, toddler-height sinks, etc.So far so good. So why the 4/10 scoring from me?Well this shop lets itself down on one major point: it's customer service at the tills. This has happened at more than one store - Oxford and Newbury to be exact, so is it a common thing throughout all it ...

My daughter bought a new pram from Mothercare (and they're not cheap), but within a couple of weeks of use the chassis buckled. They refused to give her a refund and gave her a second hand pram to use while they sent her one away - for 3 weeks! She couldn't even use the second hand one as it had no apron. The pram came back, and within a week it had broken again, and all the shop could say was they'd send it away again. What happened to goods being fit for purpose? So, by the time she ever ...

We went into the Leeds store and bought a pram. The service we received was excellent, and the staff could not do enough to help us. The staff asked us lots of questions to find out what we really needed, and from this we made a decision which we didn't regret later. Also, a good thing is, Mothercare give a 12 month guarantee for prams; unlike M+P who give 6 months, and Mothercare start it from the baby's due date.

Excellent service!! If you live in Yorkshire go to the Leeds store, but prepar ...

Some town centres have done away with Mothercare stores and moved out of town. I bought 2 pairs of tights because it was buy 1 get one half price and when I went to the checkout it didn't register and the assistant didn't know about the offer. Also the tights didn't fit they were way too small. So I bought a larger size and they were exactly the same. Even though there was no other customers at the till where I wanted to refund a pair of jeans because I'd seen a nicer pair cheaper they made me ...
