“They don't offer the price they advertise on the web”

They advertise the price for the flight tickets on their own website, but when you call them using 0844 number, they refuse to offer the same price. For my flights, their webprice was £495 but when I called them to book, they said the price is £708. This is not acceptable. Either they change the web-based price or provide the customers with the price they mention on the web. I had the same experience yesterday. I asked the guy if the advertised cheap rates are not available the why you are putting in your website and I didn't get a proper answer from him...It seems they are cheating customers.

“Hopeless Customer Care”

We booked flights for my 80 year old mother to the US being very clear that we needed these to be adjustable as she might need to come back sooner. All good but when we called to amend then put on a £200 charge for doing so which they never told us about. “All good until there are problems”

“Misleading Headline price”

“RUDE AND USELESS! ”

Dealt with them and nearlly booked until they did not include every thing tried to tie me down to a holiday I did not even confirm. Tour Operator [name removed] was very Rude shouted down the phone and was not admitting his mistake until 1 hour on the [hone trying to explain to him how booking a holiday should work. “Lack of communication”

Booked a holiday from UK to GOA, as recommended through family friend, they never reply to emails, do not take the first price they give, they can always go lower. Most of the agents have English names and most of them are un willing to help, just seems very scripted, reading off a screen and wont listen to what you have to say. “Not worth any star!!! ”

They tried to force us to pay no matter we said we dont want it after he claimed the transit wait gonna 13 hours. After that 2 hours the woman rang us and said we have booked 2 flights!!!! And money will taken from account even we explained that we said no to it already but the woman still said that "i dont know but we have to pay coz you have made the payment!". Where were u going? For us they seemed to have countless options to fly to Sydney on connecting flights. We got the best deal and paid in installments too; and that too only after we got the booking confirmation. They have been good to us all these years.

“Horrendous Service, Dishonest, Stressful”

Horrendous service, dishonest people, requested a quote for flight and hotel on Saturday 09.06.2012, quote provided at £882.00 without breakfast however breakfast was offered complementary. Booking completed without breakfast, at the time of booking the price had increased to £890.00, advised deposit required would be £200.00, however £210.00 debited. Following on from Part 1, I received 3 voicemail messages from Southall Travel advising my hotel is cancelled, but my flight remains in place for which I am required to pay in full if I am to travel on 1st July 2012, as planned. I call Southall Travel, who confirm flights are in place and payment is required. Eventually they agree to cancel the flight, when an email confirmation is requested, I am advised this will take 24 hours – totally unacceptable. Eventually I receive a confirmation. Still waiting for Southall Travel to confirm recorded telephone calls have been retrieved and listened to. Then the battle of the refund. On employee advised costs will be negotiated, then advises a refund, second employee advises a refund is not possible. Hey Southall Travel made £210.00 for chatting on the phone, being non responsive. Let’s all work for Southall Travel 

Part 3
Southall Travel has not responded to my email of 3rd July 2012, they promise a 24 hour response time. I have also contacted abta. What else can I do.

Part 4 - Southall Travel advises calls have not been recorded for this incident although I have communicated with 4 different supervisous through the month, each failed to advise. I have requested emails be checked, lets see what happens. I have XXXX names.

Let’s clear the misunderstandings you have:

• Please identity what measures have been taken – as to date I see no measures
• It was XXX who advised ALL calls are recorded. Are you advising from my initial email of 9th June 2012 to date and communications with XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and the group email addresses, you are advising on 10th July 2012, calls are not recorded for the period in question, conversations that took place over a number of days with different colleagues. I find this very strange and unacceptable
• The error regarding the cancellation was only advised as an error when I communicated the received information to XXXX, even then the cancellation did not take place as XXXX was demanding payment
• It was (name removed) who advised verbally and via an email that an adjustment would be made against a future booking – please review XXXX emails for this period of time

Clearly across the board all shortfalls sit within Southall Travel, an entity that is only interested in making a sale without due care and attention of their clients. It was (name removed) who provided inaccurate and incorrect information which the supervisors over the moth failed to address.

I ask how the client is responsible for such shortfalls. I believe due to the number of shortfalls I as the client should be compensated for the error and time taken to raise these issues

“Bad service on refund, Mr. Kuljinder Bahia no response”

I wanted to travel to Dubai, so booked hotel and flights and transfer service, chose transfers as did not realise where the hotel was and was adviced by sales person that hotel dont have free transfers, so paid £50 for to and fro. Reached safely at the hotel which was good, on the day of coming back we were supposed to be pickedup by the transfer company at 12noon for flight at 14.30hrs , so waited in the lobby from 11.45am kept on calling the transfer company to see where the driver is kept… Read Full Review

agreed. This is one of the worst companies I have EVER used. Will NOT be using them again. First, they booked the wrong date for my flight and told me that I'd have to pay the extra for the flight even though it was their mistake, as a few days later the prices had gone up (conveniently), and secondly they got my partner's name wrong on the e-ticket and made me pay £65 to change it even though they had got it wrong. Terrible customer service and awful company AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We booked flights for my elderly parents, one of whom is disabled, over one month in advance on basis that they would not need to change planes to their destination and would only have a short wait on the return flight. “Not refunding money”

I booked a flight with them and then had to cancel it. I am entitled to a refund after their £175 cancellation charges. Its been over 10 weeks now and still havent received the refund. Every time I call them they say its been processed and I should have received it by not. They have even wasted my time and insisted that I call my bank to find out, which I did. I'm normally fairly hardy regarding budget travel, and will go to whoever is cheapest. But Southall Travel were absolutely terrible and I would never ever book with them again. I found out about them through their other website, cheapticket.co.uk... They are puting nice priced flights on their site which, by far, they are not able to deliver. “I have had terrible service from Southall Travel....”

I have had terrible service from Southall Travel. Clearly these members are incompetent in their jobs. I have written to the Managing Director and failed to receive a response.
Southall Travel has one aim and that is to sell, sell and sell without due care and attention for the clients. When bookings result in complaints, nobody takes this forward. Staff members are very reluctant to give details of mangers. What are clients expected to do?

We also had incredibly bad service with this company. Staff were rude and unhelpful, lied about what they were doing to help solve queries and were happy to send us off on a flight with incorrect names on the tickets due to their error - their solution was for us to call them from immigration if there was a problem. We eventually had to get ABTA involved to sort things out.

I am having a very bad experience with Southall Travel as well. We gave them the entire booking amount 1 month before but till now they havent send us our final tickets. They keep telling us some or the other excuses each time I called/mailed them. Only yesterday the operator asked me if I cud change my travel dates by 2 - 3 days !!!!. I m very annoyed that they havent booked my tickets inspite of doing the booking 3 months back. They r gud for nothing, they just keep the money and their staff is def not helpful at all.

I booked a holiday in april 2011 online with my family i had spoked to customer service they told me that the hotel is a 4* but it was completley rubbish and they gave me a package including breakfast but their was nothing in the breakfast they told me that my hotel was 2 minuites walking distance from all shopping but it was 35 minuites. i advise everyone to never book their holiday with this company
