Good Points: Cheap flights. Can arrange complicated itineraries.
Bad Points: Have to explain the same things over and over to loads of different people. They never call back.
General comments: We have been booking with Southall for 5 years, and have recommended them to many of our friends, but recently the standard of service has deteriorated considerably.
We are having problems right now, as they have booked my husband and son on different timed flights from London to Delhi, when they should be on the same flight, as our son is only 17 months old. We booked 2 months ago, and only discovered this when we received our e-tickets last week, as we have had no other information since booking. We have spent all week on the phone trying to get this sorted out; people have promised to phone back, to get it sorted, and nothing has happened. They are supposed to be flying on Monday morning and it is Wednesday night!!!!! We will never book with them again.

I had booked flights to India for my parents. I was a bit hesitant for them to travel alone as they were too old to go on their own.
I requested for special assistance and I was pleased that everything was dealt with efficiently and they were looked after and got assistance. I think they understood my concern and I was very happy. Now my parents are back. I'll definitely use them again and will recommend everyone also.

Bad customer service when it comes to serve after sale. I had problem with airport tax. They either charged me the tax and it was not paid OR they did not include it in the ticket to make it cheap and I was told that the fair includes airport tax. Therefore I was charged tax at the air port again. A real night mare. I'll never use them again

I booked a holiday package with Southall Travel for Mauritius. I took air mauritius flights and everything was going fine till I reached hotel. I had some issues with hotel as it was under renovation. I was quiet upset and called Southall travel from there and let them know my concern, immediately my complain was heard by the tour team member and my hotel was changed to similar category to what I paid for. I was very pleased as my holiday was not spoilt and I was looked after well.

I personally had a very good experience traveling through Southall travel. I am quiet content with the level of service. I think it is a great travel company to do business with. I just made booking online and everything was dealt very efficiently.

Called to find out where my refund was, they said it was my fault they sent it to the wrong address and that they had confirmed the address with me last week. They did no such thing. When I pointed this out they said that I should not use Southall Travel in the future. Guess what? I am not.

I booked through Southall Travel and was amazed with there prices. They were the cheapest at the time of booking with good service. I just paid over the phone and tickets came home.

Booking on line noticed that names on my ticket was in the wrong place. Was told that I had to buy a new ticket just to change them around and no refund was possible. So called up the airport and they told me that that would be fine just as long as it was spelt correctly so if unsure call up the airport that you will be traveling from.

The whole thing, from start to finish! Yes they got me a good price for my flight to New Zealand, stopping for 2 hours in Brunei and then onto Auckland, but they forgot to tell me that it landed in Dubai, Brunei, Brisbane then Auckland. And the payment system....they took card details and £850 from the account, but insisted that it wasn't paid, so if I could deposit another £850 in cash in an account I could have my flight!! The Worst Agent I have used ever. Booked one ticket with wrong name and no vegetarian meals.then charged £190 to rectify their mistake and have a new ticket issued. They then tried to bill us twice for the new ticket and still used a wrong name in communications for the person they had reissued the ticket for! Be very careful before parting with your hard earned money! If you do use them be sure to keep copies of all communications and any web ordering pages.....you may well need it!

The deals on the Internet are really good and cheap. They do take the customer's details but lose them and ask for them again and again. Also you do not expect a person to carry their passport with them all the time. If its an on line booking and when you call the customer you should explain the complete procedure at once. Also the time around time was not meet. Not very happy with the service. Would def think once again if I have to deal with you.

This is first time I booked through Southall Travels. and unfortunately with Air India. The agent pretended to be helpful in booking our seats with infant basinette. Being in this trade for so long, they obviously knew that Air India flights never have basinette seat concept, still they booked me with Air India. And they refused to accept any responsibility after that.
Beware, they can book you First Class ticket with EASY Jet and raise their hands once you find out that EASY Jet does not do Fi ...

Good customer service, agents are helpful. they always try and provide me better fare. Booked with them for last 2 years now and I never had any problems with them except receiving my travel details by post.I am very much satisfied with customer service too. Overall, although being concerned about using Southall I had no major problems with them. I was very worried about using Southall Travel and only checked the review pages AFTER booking. The only problem was that they only took part of my full amount of my card and then told me I had to pay the remainder into a Barclays account in CASH. Booked a flight at the end of January 2008, once I received the confirmation it was totally the wrong flight. I rang to let them know and they agreed the full refund back within the next 3 - 4 working days, been ring since chasing the refund and rang yesterday 25th February 2008, and was told that it had not been canceled and I would not get a full refund....very frustrated...nobody rings me back or emails me back......NEVER EVER BOOKING again and am still waiting for my full refund as promised ...

I read all the reviews here, and started to be very very worried!!! No company is perfect. Compare any company and we would find un-satisfied customers as well. Overall I would say Southall travel is a good company. With few unsatisfied customers we can't conclude that the company is not good. If a get a good price and all my details in time the company is doing perfect. Solving any problem in the travel industry takes time. It doesnt happen immediately. General awareness is also important.
