keep away from Southall Travel. They just want your money then don't want to know you. Flight times and check in times left me and my wife without a room after many hours of travel with a connecting flight. Then on the day we were leaving we were without a room again for most the day before our flight. They don't know how to put together a holiday! (read more)

Having read many adverse reviews about Southall Travel I was somewhat reluctant to use them. For a trip from London to Sydney in November, sky scanner indicated the cheapest ticket was with Malaysian Airlines through Southall Travel. On phoning Southall with the on-line details and ticket price, the agent advised me to book on line as this was a special promotional price only available on-line. Booked a flight to India was told that they have a 24hour price promice. Found it cheaper on line and was refused a refund. Reason given was that they need to make money. Why give a price promise???? Avoid and don't trust. (read more)

We are very happy with how Southall Travel handled our booking for our honeymoon to Mauritius in September this year. We got the best of hotel choices and we picked Hilton resort and spa. they tailored the deal to include flights with emirates a number of other tours and activities. I had been a customer with the company since 2006 and have called the company umpteen times to make my bookings. Just returned from our amazing holiday to Dubai! Southall Travel did a good job at arranging this well earned holiday for us. Although initially we faced a slight issue at the Sheraton Hotel in Dubai as the hotel declined our request to provide us an extra bed for our little daughter, all other things were simply fabulous. Southall provided outstanding customer service to me regarding booking my ticket for India. I frequently been travelling to India and booked ticket via them. Agents were so pushy and charged me £100 more than online price. On top agent charhed me £30 extra explaining that I could change my ticket anytime i want for this extra price. When I called back to change on the same day-they were so unhelpful and wanted to charge me before. I made a ticket booking via Southall last year..I was always under an impression that booking through a travel agent is of great help as u get some extra unsaid benefits but sorry to say that's not the case at least with Southall travels. I have made many late bookings and am always assured that Southall Travel will be able to offer the best of last minute fares. Early this month I had to travel to Abu Dhabi the next day and it was Southall once again. I didn’t have time to check and compare the fare offered with other travel websites but had complete faith that their price was unbeatable. Dealt with them and nearlly booked until they did not include every thing tried to tie me down to a holiday I did not even confirm. Tour Operator [name removed] was very Rude shouted down the phone and was not admitting his mistake until 1 hour on the [hone trying to explain to him how booking a holiday should work. I travel twice a year between the UK and India and have been booking tickets with Southall travels for last 4 journeys. My experience with them has been more than satisfactory. Booked a holiday from UK to GOA, as recommended through family friend, they never reply to emails, do not take the first price they give, they can always go lower. Most of the agents have English names and most of them are un willing to help, just seems very scripted, reading off a screen and wont listen to what you have to say. They get a 4 just because they delighted me this time with the baggage allowance of an unexpected 40 kg to Pakistan on emirates. And the agents I spoke to were quite thorough with skills of care and professionalism. I asked to book a flight from London to Miamo and agreed on one with a stop over at Washington. However the airport was a different one from Washington to Miami and I was told repeatedly, that all transfers would be taken care of by the airline. They may not be the best but we have found them to be good enough in dealing with our booking yesterday and many over a period of years. I am extremely happy with the services provided by Southall Travels, I have been using them for years and have never been disappointed. The staff is so friendly and ready to help always. Southall Travel did it when we were left high and dry by the hotel and its management who refused to switch us to another room on the pretext of unavailability. We did not liked the first one as it was somewhat damp and ill maintained. When we called Southall they contacted the hotel and we were promptly moved to a far better room on the upper level with a great garden view. no doubt that they have very good deals for flights and holidays packages which perhaps you will not find with other travel agents. Although i am happy with the prices, they were not able to gurantee that i will get bulk head seats on the plane. they could only take my request saying its a special request and is subject to availability. For cheap ticket these guys seem to specialize in India, south asia, far east and Dubai. This was revealed while doing my online research for our hols to Maldives. They seem to be biggest sellersof kuredu in the market. We had a problem free holiday there early this year. I give them 9/10 for customer service as the agent we dealt with was very good in his skills. Asia is what these peopel started off with. India to be precise and around. We've been booking our holidays with them for long and I believe they have great fares for rest of the world too. We have been to Egypt, orlando and australia and everytime they were the most cost effective.

They have very competitive prices for the flights. we got a great price on jet airways with them which they seem to have some sort of special fare contract with as they sell perhaps the cheapest fares for jet. (they seem to have even receive many awards from the airline - as per their FB page). but IMO they can do better by simplifying some processes especially the payment options.I could not pay by a third party credit card. had to pay it in their account. we are very happy with the customer service of southall travels agent leo we were holding th seats with him and we found cheaper deal with the another travel agents we called him back with the details of the booking and he was fast to match his offer as per the cheaper price. although the deal was ony 10 pounds cheaper we saved 60 pounds on 6 people. on all times he was very patient and freiendly. good customer service and we will book wit him again. I would certainly say that I am extremely happy that my trip is finally confirmed and the hectic work is mostly over and we can peacefully enjoy our honeymoon. I have been trying to organise my honeymoon trip for such a long time, so many searches, so many plans made and dropped due to deals being offered not available etc. However, I got the number for Southall Travel and thought what’s harm it trying these guys out. They tried to force us to pay no matter we said we dont want it after he claimed the transit wait gonna 13 hours. After that 2 hours the woman rang us and said we have booked 2 flights!!!! Horrendous service, dishonest people, requested a quote for flight and hotel on Saturday 09.06.2012, quote provided at £882.00 without breakfast however breakfast was offered complementary. Booking completed without breakfast, at the time of booking the price had increased to £890.00, advised deposit required would be £200.00, however £210.00 debited. Following on from Part 1, I received 3 voicemail messages from Southall Travel advising my hotel is cancelled, but my flight remains in place for which I am required to pay in full if I am to travel on 1st July 2012, as planned. I call Southall Travel, who confirm flights are in place and payment is required. Eventually they agree to cancel the flight, when an email confirmation is requested, I am advised this will take 24 hours – totally unacceptable. Eventually I receive a confirmation. Still waiting for Southall Travel to confirm recorded telephone calls have been retrieved and listened to. Then the battle of the refund. On employee advised costs will be negotiated, then advises a refund, second employee advises a refund is not possible. Hey Southall Travel made £210.00 for chatting on the phone, being non responsive. Let’s all work for Southall Travel

Part 4 - Southall Travel advises calls have not been recorded for this incident although I have communicated with 4 different supervisous through the month, each failed to advise. I have requested emails be checked, lets see what happens. I have XXXX names.
Let’s clear the misunderstandings you have:
• Please identity what measures have been taken – as to date I see no measures
• It was XXX who advised ALL calls are recorded. Are you advising from my initial email of 9th June 2012 to date and communications with XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and the group email addresses, you are advising on 10th July 2012, calls are not recorded for the period in question, conversations that took place over a number of days with different colleagues. I find this very strange and unacceptable
• The error regarding the cancellation was only advised as an error when I communicated the received information to XXXX, even then the cancellation did not take place as XXXX was demanding payment
• It was (name removed) who advised verbally and via an email that an adjustment would be made against a future booking – please review XXXX emails for this period of time
Clearly across the board all shortfalls sit within Southall Travel, an entity that is only interested in making a sale without due care and attention of their clients. It was (name removed) who provided inaccurate and incorrect information which the supervisors over the moth failed to address.
I ask how the client is responsible for such shortfalls. I believe due to the number of shortfalls I as the client should be compensated for the error and time taken to raise these issues

Unprofessional and Unethical
I have recently booked three tickets for my wife and 2 children and ended up paying more that what the airline was charging.
Found that the ticket price on the actual airline e-ticket was over £20 pounds cheaper that what Southall travel charged. When this was pointed , I was told that the difference is the admin fee . Costed over £60 more for 3 tickets. When I asked for the break down of cost in their invoice , they were reluctant to put the commission in the invoice though they charged it from me. I would advise to book directly on the airline website.
