I also used to shop at Jane Norman regularly and sometimes had to force myself to walk by as I knew I would end up buying something. Obviously not such a problem now as the Scottish branches have closed but I did consider buying from their online shop as have done before. However, that was until my last purchase of jeans. Firstly, I bought them in 2 colours. I assumed that they would both be the same as they were same style and size only different colours. However the black ones were ok... (read more)

I used to love Jane Norman, I would shop in there every week but not anymore. The quality of their clothes has really gone down hill. I'm fed up with taking things back for having holes in, buttons falling off and just general poor quality. I ordered a black dress last week online, when I received it I was shocked because I found 7 holes, 2 of them were big enough to fit 2 fingers through, how they didnt notice it when sending it out to me I do not know. I also think its disgusting how they... (read more)

I used to LOVE jane norman, it was my favoroite shop of all time. However, since it has become Jane Norman london, the tailoring seems to have really messed up. I bought a gorgeous white coat that they are selling at the moment in a size 14, and clearly no research has been done into what sort of shape and size a size 14 person is. Not only am i a little chubby, hence the 14, I also have a large frame. This coat has its measurements all wrong, and I know people are different shapes, but I... (read more)

I pointed out the tag to the girl at he till and she said that it was the wrong price. I explained that I picked up the bag/clutch thinking it was £5.50 and decided to buy it at that price. I was shopping in York and went into Jane Norman's. I tried on a top that was in the sale for £14, the original price was £28. I decided to buy the top and took it to the till. When the shop assistant rang the top in the till the price came up at £19.80. I commented that they are advertised at £14 on the rail. Found a lovely dress today on a rail stating £10.00 off, it was not the only one misplaced, the shop was tidy and organized. I tried the dress on and it looked great so I chose to purchase it. When I got to the till the full price came up and so I asked about the advertised discount. I was told that one of the shop assistants must have priced it incorrectly and basically it was tough. Since the change of ownership of Jane Norman, the quality of its materials and the workmanships are absolutely not worth the sale value of the items. Very very poor indeed. I too have had an awful experience with Jane Norman. I wish I would have looked up reviews before I placed an order online with them, I certainly would have thought twice! I have to say that I pretty much always shop online at Jane Norman. The closest store to me is in Luton and that's in Debenhams. I haven't been there in a while but from what I remember it was always a bit cramped up, but that's due to lack of space really. I really enjoy Jane Norman clothing mainly for the reason that is well-designed and cut, very suitable for pear shaped figures while other mainstream fashion shops insist on flared camisoles which make us pear-shapes look fat (but I just can't find any nice fitted items elsewhere at affordable prices!)

Jane Norman is a popular clothing store aimed at women aged 18-25. What I love about Jane Norman is the presentation of the store, they always fit outfits together very well, and I usually end up buying the bag that was temptingly placed next to the dress it matches so well.

reasonable quality cut and finish.
Poor quality fabics comensurate with lower costs and young buyers who change their wardrobe regularly.
Too expensive for the quality of fabrics, I would pay a LITTLE more for silk and good quality silk/linen mixes.
