Good Points: Admittedly, its a good phone for the content. It can do whatever all '3' phones do; record videos, and take pics etc. It also has a motomixer thing, but it's not so good.

Bad Points: There are unfortunately A LOT of bad points. For example the network I was on.

General comments: You can take pictures and record video clips with the Motorola A835 mobile phone, but the camera isn't so good. Most of the time it's blurry and distinguished with no flash, so it is only very good in very bright light. When you are trying to record it is slow and becomes increasingly blurry, which is very annoying because you have to stay still to get a half-decent picture, and that is hardly the desired way of filming a video clip. After a while of having this phone (about two months) it became slow, and takes forever to load anything. I don't know if this is the case for many of these phones or just mine, but I have heard many complaints about it. When doing other tasks, ie: not on the main menu, you cannot see the time, so you have to go back to the main menu each time, which is quite irritating.
The quality of the ringtones are not much to cheer about, just the same simple tones each time, and downloading new ones costs quite a bit. There are a lot more things that I hate about this phone, including the size of it (why on earth is it so big?) and weight (weighs down my bag, and there is no need for it to weigh so much, it's stupid, really), but I won't go into lots of detail. Also, you cannot save pics or video clips to your sim card, therefore if you were moving to another 3 phone and taking your sim card with you, you would still have to delete all your pics and clips. Another reason that probably added to my hatred of this thing was the fact that it is a '3' phone, in other words, only 3 sim cards can be used in this, and 3 sim cards can only be used in 3 phones, so if I wanted to get a new phone, (which I most definitely am) you would have to transfer to another network, getting a new number.

To be honest, I wouldn't want to stay on 3. The minimum credit you can get is £10, and that runs out after a month.

In conclusion, don't buy it!! Sorry!

    THIS MOBILE IS THE BEST
Perfect in every way except size but to me that doesn't matter. The Motorola A835 has got everything a phone can have, how better can you get? If you're full of picture/video memory just simply transfer them to your computer. With heavy use the A835 will just last a day (battery life). Otherwise with normal use about 3-6 days (with it switched of at night). Another advantage is it has one camera on each side, good for self portraits. All in all an excellent phone.

If it wasn't for the size and the unreliabilty of this phone it would be one of the best out there. Unfortunately I know a few people who have owned this phone & we've all had problems with it. Corrupted files (lost photos & videos), cuts out when in conversation, keylock doesnt always work, i could go on. I had to get mine repaired but it came back with only a few of the many prblems sorted. The MP3 player is the best I've heard though. The video & picture quality is average. Now the E1000 is o ...

The Motorola A835 doesn't hang. Mine doesn't have a network lock. You can compress divx into 3gp and watch on the phone...South Park :] The ringtones atract atention. The batery lasts 2 days easily (it's quite normal for a phone like this). For power-users there's a 1400 li-on battery ;) It's one of the best phones in my country. It's rather cheap.

If the Motorola A835 were used on any network other than 3 then it could be a reasonable phone to use. However it would be better used as a wheel chock as it's big enough to hold back a wagon.

I'll start with the good points. The phone has a huge speaker on the back which gives good sound volume (if not the best quality), perfect for those who struggle to hear their phone ringing if it is in their pocket/bag.
The phone also came with a data cable and software for the PC which was great to use once you had spent many an hour sorting out how to configure it.
The bluetooth on the Motorola A835 is great although you have to turn on a fuction called "find me" to allow anyone else with a ...

In my eyes when I got the Motorola A835 I thought it was great but charging the phone every night you know it's just crazy. And now what happened with my phone is that it won't even charge anymore so I took it away for repairs and not just once 5 times and they still have not solved the promlem if I was you I would not even stare at this so called mobile because it is a waste of space and that is a lot of space that can be used for someting else.

Don't be tempted by any offers on this phone, the Motorola A835 is a waste of time and money. I'd like to say the 3G features were an asset but having had little coverage since buying the phone I've been unable to take advantage.

Wallpapers and Screensavers missing after my recieving the phone back following the 1st visit to the support centre, I'm very dissapointed they are missing and up to present cannot be re-installed, and I've been advised if I want to replace any wallpapers the only way is for me to purchase them at a cost of £2/£2.50. As I liked the ones which came with the phone I really object to buying ones which hold no interest for me. (can anyone help) ??????? fed up customer.

I have had my Motorola A835 for about 3 months now, the 1st phone I had had a problem with the joystick but 3 replaced the handset and I have no other problems. The only thing I didn't like about this phone was the battery life however, if you go into your local 3 store you can get another battery. Oddly enough the standard battery is more expensive than the extended version!
Also most 3 stores stock other bits and pieces like the in car charger and cost mine cost £10 each and I thought t ...

The Motorola A835 is a great phone with loads of features. Excellent colour screen. Polyphonic ringtones. Can be hooked up to your pc to download tunes etc. On the downside its quite a big phone. It's definately the most advanced phone of its kind. 007 probably owns one!!!

Regret the day i brought this Motorola A835, this mobile phone is heavy, the battery is useless, buttons are unresponsive, camera is too dark and takes to long to save a picture, poor bluetooth technology, PC link is useless, looses signal too easily.

The Motorola A835 weighs like a brick
the mobile phones battery life is not very good
    unergonomic.

phone is locked to network and so is the sim... so if you lose the phone and dont have insurance you are snookered. you cant use another unlocked phone, unless it is a "three" phone. if you do you have to shell out upto 400 pounds for this phone.

    sound is excellent.

The Motorola A835 is a really cool mobile phone, yeah its a bit too heavy and no option for external memory. But its a really good phone, for anyone wanting to experience the 3g technology at a cheap price (ie at this time, the price dropped). I d recommend it to anyone.

This Motorola A835 is the first mobile phone that i have chosen for myself-the others have all been either hand-me-downs or birthday persents. When i first turned it on i was amazed because i hadn't ever had a colour phone. The features are in abundance, however, there are no pre-installed games. The quality of the ringtones is brilliant. i cant access any of the three G features however i can access the ringtones?????? If You live in a 3G area then the features would be way better!!!
