A holiday at CP is always what you want to make it. The sheer breadth of activities on offer is incredible - the only draw back is that other than the free swimming, things can be expensive. Having said that we were at Sherwood during the Bonfire Night celebrations and were treated to a spectacular firework display - completly free.
Didnt use Aqua Sana this time as we think the prices are ridiculously high, but had a great meal in Strada.
We had a 3 bedroom woodland lodge, recently updated and it was fine with everything you want - accept perhaps a decent non stick frying saucepan!
We have already booked again for next year.

We stayed in a comfort plus lodge at sherwood (adapted for disabled person). It was lovely, warm, very clean, no smells at all. The villa had a higher than ordinary chair with footstool for a disabled person. A wet room style bathroom and an adjustable bed. We also had a designated parking space near to the villa and we used the car to transport Dad around. Nobody complained about this. Security was great, felt very secure there. This was Dad's last holiday as he passed away two months l ...

I have been going to Center Parcs all of my life and I will carry on! I have never been to any other Center Parcs except Sherwood Forest, and I never will! I love everything about it and I will continue going! Not a bad thing to say about it! I love it! I wish I could live there!!!! The only thing is it is more busy and expensive in the holiday times. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would recommend any of the accommodation types, overall they are kept extremely clean! I love the exclusive ...

Have just returned from longleat forest and this is the second time we have visited, 1st with an 10 month son and second when 2 years old and our new 7 month son. Upon arrival found 2 lights broken and wet floor in our smelly toilet presumed to be freshly wash.the smell of urine was evident and we immediately requested an upgrade to no avail. We waited for 4 days before complaining to guest sevices, demanding to see the manager a.s.a.p.
By this time we found the toilet hand basin leaking (explai ...

I have been going to Center Parcs since it opened way back when. We go about 3 times a year and have only ever had one complaint. We nearly always go to Sherwood, we have however been to Longleat and Whinfell but it felt like you are in a shopping centre in these 2 center parcs as a lot of it is inside one dome. The new Woodland lodges are great, sometimes they could be better cleaned, but on the whole not bad. The parks are great for kids of all ages and the swimming and slides are great fun a ...

Stayed at Sherwood Forest for a week at the end of August. Expensive but we have been before and the children wanted to return. Disappointed that the comfort villa had not been updated - stinking loo, black grouting around the bath and a very saggy, old double bed. Not comfortable! Love the cycling in the forest but think that it is all very overpriced generally. Returned home to the 'welcome home' email and checked to see what it would cost next year for a 'new' villa (hoping to avoid the ...

We have been to Center Parcs Longleat 3 times and have never had any problems so we decided to try the one at Sherwood Forest for a change. Big Mistake. Our chalet was disgusting. The smell of ammonia in the twin bedroom was overpowering. This was the room our children were sleeping in and I had serious concerns for their health. We complained to guest services who eventually sent two cleaners to sort out the problem. I was told that the stench ws simply 'forest smells due to a damp winter' (we ...

I would recommend Centre Parcs to families/couples/groups, no matter how many people go you will always have a fantasic time. I have stayed in a one bedroomed villa, which I will say is quite small but it has everything you need, I have also stopped in a six bedded villa which are a very good size. I have never had any problems when I have stopped at Centre Parcs, all members of staff are very helpful and they can't do enough for you. I would highly reccommend Centre Parcs to everybody.

It was brilliant, the Villa was verry clean and tidy and we had people come to change the bedding everyday (allthough they came at 10PM which is a bit early i think). The Swimming pool was 5 star, the kids and my wife and I loved the rapids excelently designed. The "Plunge Pool" was great! Freezing cold water where you could challenge each other to see who could stay in there the longest!
The out-door part of the swimming pool was brilliant, swimming under the stars at night with my Wife it was ...

Came back from Sherwood Centre Parcs on 17th July 2009. Stayed in a stinking comfort plus villa. We complained daily about the smell which varied from rotten milk smell in the kitchen to cat wee smells in the bedrooms. Villa was not that clean - carpet was very dirty. Only plus was that the beds were comfortable. Someone did come round every day to try to get rid of the smell, to no avail. We eventually got a small refund for the inconvienience, but by then the holiday had been spoiled.
    Food ok ...

Stayed in a Comfort Villa 17-20 July 2009 at center parcs. sherwood forest. Really badly maintained. Kitchen drainer had old grease embedded. Bedroom damp and with plenty of dust. Patio looked as though it had not been swept for a year, overhanging tree branches should have been cut back to allow sun through.
Old bedding had been bagged but not collected. Activities plentiful and generally well maintained, although expensive.

Accommodation is shabby and grim for the money at Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest(oppressive breeze block bomb shelters surrounded by dense undergrowth and foliage). One of the bedrooms stank so bad ("forest smell" according to customer services; cat urine to me) that one of us had to sleep on the couch for two out of the three nights. Customer services promised to get someone down to sort out but no one ever came. On the plus side the facilities are great and the kids activities ok on the whole ( ...

Just got back from Centre Parcs Nottingham. Had great time - klds loved it. Would have been perfect holiday if it wasnt for the accommodation. We stayed in comfort plus lodge - cost us £900 for the week and the standard was very poor. Constant smell of drains in the toilet and kitchen area and condition of toilet was worse than a public toilet!! Also very dark, dingy and shabby - needed complete overhaul and one wonders how they can justify charging so much for such poor accommodation. Th ...

Center parcs sherwood forest is a very well run place. The beauty of it is that you can be sitting on your patio, watching the squirrels, rabbits and other wildlife (we saw a mole!) and you can't hear anything except the forest, yet you are surrounded by thousands of people. Children love the way the squirrells come to feed so take bags of nuts with you if you have young children.. The lodge we had was a bit worn around the edges and a bit dark but I have stayed at Sherwood before and had a bett ...

Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest is a very lovely place on our first vist and we weer pleasasntly pleased with the setting and lodge we had. we had an executive lodge with 3 bedrooms. It was clean tidy but a bit worn around the edges. The garden could have been tenered better weeding out nettles and bramble and fenched of area at the lodge so the young kids could run outside, but generally it was better than expected.
