Accommodation disgusting and dirty, very out dated and tatty.

Just come back early as felt more like a prison camp than a holiday!

People running shop on site very rude.

Pontins, Camber may be cheap but really not worth a penny.

I am used to going on touring caravan holidays and used to 70's toilet blocks so am no snob. After a 9 hour journey from Glasgow to Camber Sands I also was dreading my arrival at Pontins as it was just too cheap. My husband assured me it was just due to the credit crunch.

As soon as we drove through the gates I could see all the attractions such as crazy golf, go carts etc and my heart sank as everything looked so run down. Whilst checking in i started to hear all the complaints going in, ...

I felt i had to write this review in response to the pompus scarepongering reviews which i read prior to going to Pontins Camber Sands. To be honest after reading the reviews, i was not looking forward to the holiday. This i found to be unfair and unrealistic of the camp's facilities once i had arrived (July 19th 09). If you pay for 'budget accomodation,' expect just that. But to be honest, who pays to spend their holiday in their accomodation anyway? Yeh its basic, but its got a bed and its cle ...

We went to pontins on a Sun holiday for a mon to fri break...we left on wednesday as we were not prepared to put up with the grime for any longer, so glad to get home. When booking in dont expect to get a buggy or wheelchair upstairs into the booking room and entertainment centre because you are not allowed to use the lift????? This was the start of something bad lol, the room smelled of dogs and Urine. There was mould behind the headboards of all the beds which made me ashamed as a parent to le ...

It's Pontins - that means cheap and cheerful with activities for the kids and entertainment in the evening. We've been going to Pontins at Camber for the past 3 years and enjoying ourselves. My kids (13 and 11) always have a great time enjoying the PGL activities, the entertainment and the fantastic beach. There are good historic sites to visit nearby including Rye and Battle (as in 1066) which my kids loved.

The chalets are a little run down and sometimes need to be cleaned upon arrival but th ...

I was in tears when we got into our chalet. There were kids running about outside our chalet with no pants on, staring in at us! We didn't even unpack and left to stay in a travelodge near Eastbourne to keep the kids happy. I can't understand why people would pay to put themselves in such a place! I'd rather not have a holiday! The beach was stunning and the only reason why I've added a point.

At Pontins, Camber staff were not helpfull. Left our trip early due to the very unclean chalets. Unlooked after chalets screws sticking out of the walls. Moldy beds for kids to sleep in. Only two Cold showers at the pool. lots of sand in the in door pool. However had lots of kids entertainment. Nice beach across the road.

Blue coats work hard. Very little to do for teenagers. If raining - nothing! No PGL activites on Fridays. Rooms need much improvement and to be cleaner. Whole place needs face lift! Would not go back! First time at Pontins and last. Been to Butlins lots of times and loved it. (Went last year twice)

The Beach was gorgeous very sandy the sea was clear, and clean. The park was run down, the entertainment was repeated, the food was small portions and there were no healthy eating options for children.
The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, basically the park itself was rundown. The apartments were disgusting, mould on the curtains, when we arrived the cleaners hadn't touched the bathroom we had a towel rail on the bathroom floor that had come off the wall, the linen that was supplied and ...

I think Pontins entertainment is a lot better than Haven and I've only ever been to Haven. The staff were friendly and helpful, the blue coats are very good with the kids so overall the entertainment is fab.
Well what can I say, it looked to us like a right mess when we arrived, but we managed to stay for free.
I would be happy to go back.

Oh my god - do not go here whatever you do!! Spend your well earned cash on a nice B & B instead!! We arrived here on the Friday night at about 8pm, we had left by about 9.30pm!!
We were sent from pillar to post trying to check in as the reception was shut. When we finally got a key, no one knew where our chalet was so we had to hunt for it! The chalet was the most disgusting thing ever! No shower, the bath had a ring of scum around it. The carpets were disgustingly dirty and smelly. They ...

I described it I believe as " Awful, minging, and "a joke" during the course of my 2 day stay (should have been 3, but just had to come home). I really am no snob - I have been on caravan breaks, holidays abroad, camping - all types - but this was the absolute pits.

The chalets' are filthy. There is no entertainment for adults during May, and the place looks run down and tired from the outside. Not worth a second thought let alone a visit !!!!!!!!!!!
    I'm just sorry that I didn't take photo's.
    The staff are very rude.

Well, we had driven all the way from Glasgow in a minibus with two families and it was the first week of the English school summer holidays 2007 and if you remember it was during the floods. So by the time we arrived everyone was hoping for a wee ray of sunshine to take away the pressure of the journey and from the moment we drove into the park we weren't let down. We would definitely go back to Pontins Camber Sands, the only thing that would perhaps prevent us is the 12 hour drive to get there. ...

We have had holidays at Pontins Camber holiday park for years. The entertainments manager is wonderful. My sons actually request to go there. We have never had a problem getting things done, or with the staff. Either we are lucky or we allow a little give and take, and treat them as we would expect to be treated.

I had mistakenly booked our holiday to Pontins Camber for 2 weeks, which was a big mistake. I spent over £700 and had expected better, but even when I brought the problems up with 'customer services', they were less than interested and told me I could always go elsewhere!? I booked this holiday for my 2 sons, who love the quads etc. I checked with the resort and local agents prior to booking that they would be available, and I was told they were up and running by the site reception, as tha ...
