I absolutely love Pontins at Prestatyn..as a single parent this is a great place to take the kids, very affordable when u catch a deal which come along thick and fast online. Weve been four times in the last 2 years,we have a trip booked for the end of this month and for August.Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, facilities are clean and you just feel comfortable there. The worst place we have ever seen , on arrival we used the reception facilities they were filthy , no toilet paper, you had to wipe your feet when you came out. The chalet was dirty , we were left with a card saying the names of the cleaners, they obviously have poor eyesight , due to pubic hair in the bathroom , a smear on the bath, which looked like well use your imagination, the chalet was for 4 , there was cutlery for three. “Fantastic weekend break!!!”

We have just come home from a 3 night break at pontins Prestatyn. The accommodation is basic but clean, and what more do you need when there is lots to do on and off site!! The Bluecoats do an amazing job of entertaining the children through the day and the night time is fantastic!! All of the blue coats work so hard and cater for all ages!! The restaurant food all you can eat buffets for breakfast lunch and tea are good value for money and lots of choice! And good quality meals.... (read more)

We stayed here this year and 1 month later we telephoned and spoke to a male member of staff asking if they had our daughters Ipod touch handed in and he said yes we have had it in lost property for a while then he said he cant find it when he looked so after lots calls his manager marie nelson then spoke to us and tried saying a lie that it got handed in and claimed a few days ago which was not ours yet the male member was convinced it was ours as it was in lost property since we left.we... it was booked as a sun holiday at £38.00.we stayed for 3 nights and by the 4th day had decided we could no longer put ourselves through the agony anymore. the bath was cracked there was only 1 plug socket in the apartment for all the kitchen appliances. there was no plugs in the sink or bath, thats if you can call it a bath as i don't think you could fit a 2 year old in it. it smelt of damp and was filthy. as for the beds no sheets were supplied for over the mattress and as for size, if... We lasted a total of 45 ins including the 15+ minutes it took to check in on this - and I will use this term loosely - "holiday camp" - bloody rough "housing estate" is more like it !! I will summise our short experience : "badly organised" - queues, queues & more queues - staff slow and looked bored to be brutely honest although after seeing all the complaints they had to deal with I think I would look fed up too!! i paid £788.00 for 2 club challets... what a disgrace.. put upstairs with an 82 year old man and a 22 month old baby.. manager said cause they had none left downstairs.when i said i was going to give a bad reveiw he said yes go on then.the place stunk to high heaven,iv been to pontins at this park 14 times in the past but never again... just got back pontins prestayn.myself and child age 13 wasnt looking forward to this after reading some reviews yes chalets are basic food okey camp in need of modernising ,but overall great value for money .we didnt stop camp in day weather was fantastic neraby beach lovely just went back for mealtimes really enjoyed prestayn pontins does need be more clean but maybe if people stoppin there stopped throwing rubbish and treating chalets with more respect there wouncnt be a promblem. You cant be serious? Do you work for Pontins? have you been made to write this to keep your job? there is no way you would consider that place for a holiday, the security there is needed to keep you in the place! the first car we saw in the morning was the Police... the place is a Hell Hole "you would not keep pigs there"? the advert at the gates is that there is a pound shop on site, "WOW" Brilliant that would make anyones holiday!!! and start again, back to the drawing board PONTINS..

If you enter the entertaiment and bar area walk as fast as you can through it as you will stick to the carpet... We are supposed to still be there 'NO THANK YOU, keep the money and get some cleaners with it. Outside every building are 1000's of fag butts, rubbish, the seagulls make a noise all day and the neighbours keep the noise going during the night. (read more)

We arrived on the monday to be told to go wait in a queue for our key which took nearly an hour. Finaly got to our apartment to open the door to a smell which reminded me of rotton food, the place was filthy. Goes into the bathroom to find the cleaners had moved the kitchen bin in there without empying the bag, so was full of left overs which is what the smell was. This place really needs pulling down, dirty grouting round the bath, sinks and tiles, filthy toilet, the colour of the bathroom suite says it all really turquoise blue, thats how long its been since its been updated, curtains falling down, windows barely in the frames, the cleaners leave a lot to be desired, shame reallybecause they were no doubt nice apartments a long time ago! “Absolute Hell”

Arrive to the park and first thoughts were what the hell have we done. Worn out, out dated, dirty, grubby and resembles a run down councilm estate in London. Our room was a "refurbished room" to us it looks like a new sofa bed a a piece of new Lino has been laid. The bathroom is disgusting, a 1970's Blue suite the grouting is mouldy and Half missing, no shower attachment just a grubby bath full of lime scale. My wife and me were staying at a nearby caravan park last week and we came across Pontins so we had a drive around. Looked like a concentration camp and we were depressed after only a 5 minute drive around, then we went to get out and the barriers were down. We panicked as we thought we were going to be stuck there! Luckily we got out!!!! Don't think we shall ever visit there to stay. Hope your stay improves!!

Entertainment was excellent, bluecoats were lovely and the kids enjoyed it. However the room was tiny with a old ctr 14" tv, we were put on top floor despite having a 1 year old and had to pay to hire a cot (when we booked we stated we had a under 2) There was no shower in the room and the bathroom was very dated no microwave either heating was ok sofa bed was the most uncomftable thing i've ever slept on. Went with my friend, my 2 girls age 6 and 9 and her 2 boys the same age, half term week 4th june -8th June 2012, dun holiday. Our check in time was 4pm, was told to go into the club and oh my god, the queues were horrendous, we didn't wait as was told at least an hour and a half wait time!!! Decided to go and get the kids some dinner from the take away fish and chip shop on site, the queue again was terrible, waited 30mins before leaving as getting nowhere - very understaffed, only 2 people... This place is a disgrace. The staff are a disgrace, the chalets are a disgrace, the pool is a disgrace the beds are a disgrace, the STAFF are disgrace the whole place is a DISGRACE. Woefully ran, the management team are diobolical as they couldn't assist me out of the bathroom when the door got stuck. I had to resort to climbing out the window! in all my life. We checked in to find that we had paid £75 for a dump for a night stay and had to ask for the breakfast voucher because they had forgot about it. i have been to pontins at prestatyn several times and am booked to go in june this year. my daughter and me and grandson have always been happy with the club room and the site, the apartment has allways been clean the only problem we had was with ants one time we went which we reported and it was dealt with promptly. we are quite happy to go again this year and we are looking forward to it. will post another review when we get back wether it be good or bad. we have just got back after another great weekend at Pontins. We stayed in a club room myself ,my husband ,father who has had a 5 valve bypass and disabled mother. we found the room clean and bedding and towels clean. the staff was realy good getting around the site was great all flat for my mum on her buggy yes the main hall smelt a bit but thats years of drink spilt on it and kids dropping drinks and sweets. its a camp not a 5 star hotel entertament was great of a night << seen robbie williams > and the... just got back from a long weekend break fri-mon. Arrival was abit confusing as the reception is not were you book in but join a long queue in the club room for the keys.We went to the chalet which we expected to be basic anyway it had recently been cleaned,there was mold around the tiles on the shower/bath and the floor didnt look like it had been moped corners etc...i took my own cleaning products to be on the safe side as we had a 2 year old with us(hands everywere)The kids were playing in... well thats so good to hear me and my partner had exactly the same and when we complained they said they cant update as its used as a filming site WHAT my god i couldnt let my dog stay there me and my sister slept in our clothes the first night, we didnt trust the hygeine of beds. but my sister still got bit by what we dont know. this is the worst holiday i have ever been on we also took pictures of mould,dirt,stains,broken pull out bed it was revolting i felt sick for my children we left morning after and paid 200 pound to stay at the lyons robin hood caravan park down the road it was fabulous theres just no excuse and to think people pay 300 400 pound on a holiday to stay there its discusting i wouldnt rate it a single star. tramps live better dont do it to your selves trust us who have been..

We had read some very bad reviews after we had booked and were kicking ourselves that we hadn't reviewed it first, but we needn't have worried, we were pleasantly surprised. My wife and two friends have just travelled from Newcastle upon Tyne for a weekend of Abba and Take That tribute acts along with another 49 fans on the bus, the journey took 9 hours. They got to reception only to be told they know nothing about the tribute weekend! The Butlins manager's response was "well these things can be subject to change"! Just quickly come back from the camp from hell. I am very open minded but even I couldn't see any good in the place. The matresses were all stained with unmentionables, the sofa bed's springs were talking to you. The carpet was filthy and a big iron mark was burned into the carpet near the kitchen. The dining table and chairs remind you of school - plastic chairs. The bathroom was disgusting - the toilet was filthy no bleach down that for years. The fridge was all rusty, the windows... Yes I am afriad it is a terrible place and a total health risk big time. Filthy is not the word with uncouth staff etc. As for the track suit boozing chav's with violent attitudes...well welcome to your worst nightmare believe it. The levels of bacteria and the potential for people becoming unwell is horrendous!Entertainment pathetic...and another thing if you are taking children DO NOT let them out of your site..it must be a haven for potential offenders.

I visited the site at Prestayn to see my son who was on holiday there.
Firstly they wanted £2 each for us just to drive in and see him!
My son had refused the first chalet, filthy, too small for his disabled cousin (he had told them she was disabled when he booked).
They were in a 'classic' chalet. I have NEVER seen anything so dirty, carpet was sticky with filth, walls covered in the remains of something unmentionable. EVERYTHING dirty, cutlery, crockery, windows, sofa, kitchen.

I'm shocked with some of these comments on here as I read them after booking the holiday and nearly opted out. We arrived slightly worried about what we would be faced with and it was fine. Rooms very basic but clean,(we stayed in Prestatyn in a classic apartment) so maybe we got lucky, I don't know. i went to pontins presatyn for the 3 days of the summer break with my wife and my 2 kids.When i checked there was no -service for a smile- from the staff and no enjoy your holiday. The derections to the appartment was ok. When we went to the appartment the state was horrible. We went to pontins in prestatyn,in 2009, the chalet had been cleaned but they must use inexperianced cleaners, we had a toddler with us and could'nt let him walk with out his slippers or shoes on as the floor was dirty, all the surfaces were sticky, like they hadnt used clean cloths , or changed the water often enough, what a shame as the cleaners will be getting paid for doing a very shoddy job, also when we went to the bars e,c,t, they were the same, my arm was all sticky from the table we... im 13 and i went to pontins for my 13th birthday last year. I went with my mum, my dad and my sister. my mum paid extra for the best caravan but instead we got a shabby, smelly dirty cheap caravan. when my mum went to complain, they said thats all they had left and we had to stay in it for 1 week. could not wait to go home! i recommend centre parcs dont waste your money! We are currently planning our second summer break at Prestatyn. this time my family and my sister and her family, and wouldnt go anywhere else in the uk. we have three kids under ten and they had an absolute blast last year, there is plenty there for them to do, with an open top bus service that stopd right outside the main gate that takes you straight into rhyl, for ten pound! great stuff, there is plenty on and off site to keep everybody amused for the full week. we went self catering and...
