Good Points: Handing key in to coming home.
Bad Points: Everything..entertainment abysmal...childrens entertainment none existent apart from a little face painting
General comments: Paid for a week in a club chalet. On April 25th. Booked it in January for gran kids. On arrival found out it was Country @Western week, hardly suitable toddlers. No day time or evening entertainment for kids. No evening entertainment for Adults. Cabaret dropped. Characters hardly made an appearance.When I complained they used the excuse it regarded as a quiet week and had to drop some services. How was I supposed to know four months previous. No offer of a refund.Once they have your money they dont care. In my Opinion guests have paid for and expect a certain standard. If Pontins cannot maintain this standard then they should review their pricing policy and offer refunds on so called quiet weeks....A QUIET week is No excuse to drop standards of service.

On booking not told that a convention of Majorettes would be there at that time. Since we had a toddler with us it was most unsuitable. The noise and shouting continued into the early hours and we had to complain. Very little entertainment for the toddler. Since it is promoted as a place for families, we wondered which families? Certainly not ours.

I don't know why so many people complain ok the chalets aren't great but at the end of the day its a room to sleep in. There is so much going on that you don't need to stay in the chalet anyway and the beach is only a few mins walk away its huge and great for the kids. I go on two hols a year one abroad and then to Pontins for the kids they love it.
I stayed at the Southport one last year and have to say Prestatyn is much nicer, so if your thinking of going just get it booked unless your a clean ...

Pontins, Prestatyn good family entertainment spacious living. Like the entertainment, like the kids things lots of things they can do. Bad accommodation last year, but sorted it out

Pontins at Prestatyn is amazing, My family and I had such a good time and would recommend it to anybody! Thanks to all the Blue Coats for making the holiday extra special.

Pontins at Prestatyn is dirty, smelly, depressing, stinks of booze and old fags - makes you feel physically sick. Pool just a rectangle, no shoot. Know wonder there aren't any photos on website! Got money back - didn't stay for more than 3 hours.

I went to this site in 1992 and it seems as though no improvement has been made!!! It was disgusting, filthy and smelly, we slept on the floor as the beds were so dirty. It was depressing and looked like a run down housing estate............does anyone ever act on complaints? Doesn't sound like it. 16 years since I was there and its still filthy !!!

Just back from Pontins Prestatyn, NEVER to return. We only paid £9.99 each through The Sun paper, thank god we didn't pay anymore. Went for 3 nights but only stayed 2 couldn't hack it any longer. If if wasn't for the 2 kids that came with us we would have come home straight away. The chalets are like boxes and not very clean, we went with open minds not expecting too much and boy we weren't disappointed!! You can't see out of chalet windows they are filthy!! Bathroom very very old, no ...

We, 4 adults and 1 child booked a Sun £9.50 holiday. We upgraded to Classic. The "apartment" was tiny, would have hated to see a budget apartment. The place was not very clean if we hadn't had driven such a distance, 4 hours we would have turned right back.
Staff didn't want to know, "we are full, nothing we can do about it."
Entertainment was awful, mainly guests being embarrassed on stage by staff.
Facilities were grubby, especially the pool. Only a small changing room with about 20 lock ...

Booked up a classic apartment for easter for 6 of us, walked into the apartment and thought oh my god! Myself and wife were to sleep on the bed settee but there were so many fag holes on the settee we decided to sleep on the floor. The next day we left, how any body can spend good money on this park is beyond me, they would not entertain money back.

Both my husband and son came home with colds. We booked for 3 nights but only stayed 2. Nothing to do during day. Entertainment ok at night.
Would never go back. Chalets were cold and not fit to sleep in

Few good points. The bluecoats are great, pity the management can't take a leaf out of their book's. My family and I payed for a week, stayed two day's, it really is a shambles

I was extremely disappointed with the chalets which were filthy. I didn't expect to have to clean it before we could even unpack. I went on holiday to get away from the household chores. The bed settee wasn't fit to sit on never mind sleep on. I hired a travel cot for my 1 year old and it was stained to the max. So he slept in bed with me. I worked at this site for a while after visiting with my sisters a few years back and it was a brilliant experience, not only working there but also going on holiday there through my childhood. The management treat their staff and holiday makers fantastically and I met a lot of people there I will never forget.

Obvisously no one looks at the complaints because nothing has been done since I was last there six years ago was going to book for this year but will look at Butlins instead. If work can not be done to up grade the decorating why charge so much for higher graded chalets where nothing is different

Had a great holiday at Pontins, Prestatyn. Day and night the blue coats were great, club apts were lovely, I could not fault. It was a great holiday and I am booked for June. No bad points at all

I didn't know what to expect before we went to Pontins, as we had never been before, but everything was much better than expected, its a fun place for the children, where the parents can relax and have a drink, I don't know why so many people complain, its not going to be 5 ***** accommodation is it!!!

Could not stay the 4 nights came home after two, it horrible. The chalet are disgusting and dirty - and we were in a classic - god knows what the budget is like! Large gaps in windows and doors

Where do you start! The chalets at Pontins, Prestatyn are disgusting, dirt all over the walls, filthy bathrooms, gaps in doors that let the wind blow through! they make you queue up for your key, like cattle, its like a free for all! activities are supposed to be free, pay for everything!

Fantastic holiday. Lots of fun for the kids, cabaret was different every night and it was right next to the zoo. Take a gun to shoot the seagulls at 5 in the morning squarking outside your chalets
