Good Points: Good points there isn't any at all
Bad Points: Bad points were can I start The room, was very dirty the beds smelt and mould round the window frames, cutlery was dirty and old, the bed settee in the front room smelt and was very dirty, two of the doors had holes in them, staff weren't helpful at all in all areas of Pontins .
General comments: I had booked Friday, Saturday and Sunday night there costing me £137 for me and my wife and my 6 month old son. I couldn't last out any more and we came home at 1.00am on the Sunday. I have been to Pontins quiet a few times over the years but this weekend was the final straw and I will not step foot in Pontins again. I am gutted writing this as I have had many great years as a kid in Pontins with my family. I hope people read my review and think hard about stayin there as it needs a lot of money spending on the place to bring it up to date ....

I read the reviews on this sight after booking and was dreading what lied ahead! I am pleased to say that our basic accommodation was very clean. The apartments do however need a lot of attention and updating. We all had a lovely break, the kids really enjoyed it. The kids pool is ideal and they also loved the playground. Crazy golf could do with a face lift and the Postman pat show was a flop as he only showed for about 30 seconds due to no one showing up. The Friday and Sunday night were ve ...

We used £8.00 in electricity from 6pm Friday to 8pm Sunday. My 3 bed house does not cost that. Chalet was a disgrace, and filthy. Dirty crockery. Old and dilapidated is the best way to describe the place.
Bluecoats were fine for the kids though. We never even bothered to stay the Sunday night(today)...personally I think holiday makers should be paid to stay there!!!! not pay to stay. It made shameless look good!

Security guards with very bad attitudes who seem to enjoy upsetting the kids.
Spent 2 hours cleaning when we arrived. Dirty pans left under sink with mouldy food in.
Captain crocs Under 4s play area needs attention nothing for them to do and needs cleaning.
Swimming pool very cold and dirty. Wwill not be visiting pontins again.

Bluecoats were really good with the kids, drinks were not too bad price and room was clean but basic great value for money. Some of the staff need to put a smile on their face but apart from that I cant think of anything else.

We initially booked the holiday by saving the £9.50 vouchers out of the Sun newspaper for a budget chalet for three nights for myself,my wife and two children aged 2 and 6...however we decided at the last minute ,thinking it would be a good move, upgraded to the top range of chalet..
Upon arrival we checked in and made our way to our room, entering the sliding patio doors we were dismayed to see our chalet was a mere 6-8 foot away from the crazy golf so day or night to get any privacy ...

The whole place looked run down to me and is in desperate need of renovation I think. The apartments were dirty and the furnishings dirty. We only slept in there as I wouldn't like to have eaten anything because it was digusting. The curtains were hanging off the rails there was excrement dried under the toilet seat and the shower was full of sand. We just felt dirty while in there. The swimming pool could have been okay if it was kept clean and maintained properly but at least there was life gu ...

Overall Pontins is Southport proved not bad value for money. I feel though it would be more customer friendly if they lowered the prices of the drinks and groceries. Site shop quite expensive and queuing a problem as usually there was only one person serving. I gave up queuing for go-karts, life is too short! Found the prices of drinks in the club room extortionate. Also, it would really help if they put microwave ovens in all chalets. But this is handy for the beach and close to some really lov ...

Our Pontins Southport holiday was booked for 10-14 September 2007 (4 nights). The 'classic' apartment was self catering and had 2 bedrooms.
Our party consisted of me, my husband and our two sons aged 2 and a half years, and 3 months old.
Prior to our holiday I had read some pretty bad reviews about the complex, which in part helped me to prepare myself for what was in store.
Check in was from 4pm, we arrived at 6pm to avoid any possible queues, as its not ideal to be hanging around with ...

You pay for what you get! If you get a free holiday or pay £9.50 you must expect the poorest accommodation Pontin's has to offer, in the least desirable parts of the centre.
We stayed in a Club chalet, although having peered through the windows of the Classic ones, there seemed very little difference, other than a toaster, microwave, towels and a free daily newspaper. The chalet was clean and had all the basic equipment needed. The downstairs Club chalets have wooden floors but we were up ...

Having experienced a few trips to Butlins (albeit on a few stag weekends), I decided to try out Pontins as I figured it would be around the same standard. I was visiting quite near Southport so I thought I'd give Pontins a go with my family. I have just got back and cannot believe what I have just experienced!
On arrival I could not believe how unprofessional every part of the service was. When we arrived at the chalet, it was a real eye-opener. The carpets were filthy, the bedding and beds ...

We had the misfortune to stay at Pontins Southport for a week. It was a Sun Holiday we were on so we knew it was going to be basic but we expected cleanliness. We were very much mistaken. On arrival we were disgusted with the level of filth we were expected to live in. We went to the reception to complain and heard other holiday makers complaining that the accommodation they had been put in was filthy and over run with ants!! They had been moved (at their cost) to a room that was just as filthy ...

The chalet at Pontins in Southport was disgustingly filthy. It smelled of stale smoke, and there were cigarette burns on the window sills, even in the bedrooms. You could stick to the floor it was that dirty. The bedding was clean, and thankfully we only slept in there for two nights. We went out of the camp during the day.

I took four children aged between 5 and 11 to Pontins in Southport, and they loved it. The entertainment is aimed at younger children; like Captain Crocs theatre with uncle Jeff, then the Blue Coats do party time until about 10.30. The kids loved the pool, and in the little pool they had cups that poured water on them. They had little slides, but they enjoyed that as well. We didn't go in the arcade as they were not interested. You can play mini golf for free too.
If you haven't got a car the ...

I went to Pontins in Southport with my family (Nan, Grandad and two younger cousins.) It was good for all my family. My grandad has bad legs, and he still found it easy to manoeuvre around the park. My two cousins enjoyed it immensely.
I found this stay highly pleasurable, as did all my family. I would recommend this to any of my friends. Plus, due to it's location it's easy to just go and sit on the beach for a while.
