Pontins Blackpool was very good i know that the chalets were run down. if there was a bit more pumped in to it. the facilities were very good and some of them need a bit of Updating. Just think of the poor staff who have lost their jobs. the entertainment was very good and the food was very good. Ponntins Blackpool will be missed.

Heard this morning that Balckpool Pontins is closing, best news ever.
I was there with my sons football team in May and I have never seen anything like it. The staff were unhelpful, rude and really just couldn't have done anything else to be so unhelpfull. The room was disgusting -dirty, holes in bed sheets, dirty cups and by the first morning after wakening up the room was crawling with ants.
We've been to Cuba twice and to different resorts and for basically a 3rd world country by god they co ...

This is the third time I have been to Pontins, Blackpool - I'm sorry the camp is now closing.
The check-in is a bit chaotic - there were two areas to book in "A to L" and "M to Z" - but this was not obvious to people queueing out the door and we wasted 15 mins before we realised this.
The accommodation is basic and the whole camp looks a bit down at heel.
The entertainment at night was good and the Restaurant meals were very good - as they have been on each of my visits.
And of course it is a g ...

So,so, sad to see Pontins go from Blackpool. We first stayed there in 2000 courtesy of the Inverness Sunshine Holiday fund,(our young son has a serious heart problem)and we have returned every single year since, at our own expense. We have thoroughly enjoyed every single one of our holidays there over the past 9 years and were already planning next years visit when we heard the bad news. Thanks to all staff and good luck wherever life takes you....

Just heard Pontins is closing in October. About time too. I booked in for 4 nights in August this year with my daughter and her family. We got our keys at 4.45 had our money back by 5.20 and out of there by 5.30. I couldnt see through the windows of my chalet, but when I went in uggghhh the smell, knocked me sick, the room not cleaned, beds unmade, rubbish bin tipped, I stepped over the banana skins and stuck to the carpet, I wondered what was behind other door, but dont ask me what it was like, ...

We have just come back from blackpool pontins.
Its still in the 80's! the entertainment if you call it that was cancelled at last minute as it was just out of season. They did have entertainment for the kids but nothing else. The crazy golf was a joke! The go-kart track was rubbish and out of the way! The only thing i can say was ok was the chalet, couldnt fault it, it was clean, good size only downfall sometimes late at night you did have the odd plane or helicopter go over from the airport over ...

We had a great time last weekend at Pontins, Blackpool. We stayed in club chalets, basic but spotless. Fresh white towels and fresh bedding lovely. Good food in the canteen, friendly staff, the bluecoats very entertaining and great cabaret. We read the reviews before we went too but gave it a chance and our children loved it at Pontins. So remember its not a 5 star hotel but a good old fashioned british holiday!!!! Its a shame its so old because looks are deceiving.

Arrived at Pontins today oh my God! It looks like a run down prison and we were not even going to bother checking in. However I decided to take a look at the room it was a club room, basic but clean, the surrouning area was free from litter. The security staff were good, before checking in I tried to take a look and they would not allow me on site prior to checking in so thumbs up to them. After a wander around and seeing the people staying we decided to leave. Say no more ! Rundown and ...

I am most disappointed in the attitude shown by Pontin's to their customers. I booked a family weekend in Pontin's Blackpool in October, to avail of the facilities, and see the illuminations. After paying the booking deposit, booked non refundable air fares. Pontin's contacted me to say the weekend was now going to be for over 55's, and cancelled my booking. Although I got a refund on the deposit, this was only after a considerable number of calls to their call centre. Despite 2 letters I remai ...

Paid £900 for 4 days in July, for Club Accomodation, don't know why I bothered upgrading because they are disgusting. Spent the whole four days in Blackpool because nothing to do in the Camp, swimming pool smelled of urine, nothing for kids to do during the day, When we got home we discovered my little girls ipod missing, i phoned Pontins Blackpool to ask if it had been handed in they said they would get back to me, after four further calls they told me nothing had been found i also disco ...

Blackpool Pontins is basically in a state of disrepair.

Chalets are poor quality, damp and smelly. Bed linen was clean, but everything else was awful. Electrical kettle constantly tripping whole electric board. Damp patch on floor of bedroom. Customer service non existant, customer complaints service non existant. Can't find ANY contact info for complaints or even complaints procedure details. Most staff OK, but managerial staff didn't seem to want to listen even if they were polite and c ...
