Had a fab short break very clean modern van excellent facilities

we have stayed at hafan y mor for 6 weeks over the past four years and we love it, you get what you pay for as far as accommodation is concerned, go for a deluxe caravan or higher, the staff are helpful and friendly, the kids love it and so do us adults, we never want to go home, hence we are buying a caravan here this year!, we love that you can stay on site and not get bored there is so much to do swimming, sea fishing, chilling on the beaches or in the sea, club houses, boating lake, pedal carts, go karts, crazy golf, loads of water activities, arcades, shops, restaurant, pizzas, fish and chips, burger king, yes some of it is a tad expensive but you can shop at asda or iceland in pwllheli, and lidl, aldi or tesco in porthmadog. the towns around the holiday park are lovely, We stop in caernarfon on the way there and back, we have been to port meirion to, cant wait to go back again and again, might see you there!

we arrived earlier than our check in time and went in the office to see if we could have our passes early which the helpful staff gave us our keys early and let us check in, we went to the 3 bedroomed chalet (comfort plus) that we had booked and it was fantastic, looked and felt just like a log cabin and was very modern and had everything we needed, it was very clean and fresh smelling and the beds had been made to a high standard, we had a lovely veranda with table and chairs and a gorgeous view over the sea to snowdownia, the beach was a few min walk whick is its own private beach, i suggest anyone going there take some sandals/pumps/crocs etc as its quite rocky with lots of pebbles, still very nice though, we went to do some shopping as we were self catering but we found the shop expensive so we went into pwheli which is down the road and went to asda where we kitted ourselfs out with everything we needed, we were there a whole week so we managed to fit in the mash and barrell restaraunt which was very nice with a good veriety of meals and also a childrens menu, we also had a couple of breakfasts there too which was very nice and satisfying, we tried the fsh and chip shop which was lovely, burger king was the same as every other burger king, the evening entertainment was good, but the bar was a little on the expensive side,( a little tip take a hip flask filled with your favourite tipple and buy a soft drink to add to it lol, ) crazy golf was fun, the pool was fantastic, lots going on for tots and young children, the charictures were fun, starbucks coffee house was lovely for a nice cuppa after swimming, the park was clean and tidy and staff friendly and helpful, the park itself is in a great location where its easy to go on many many day trips out, we are going again this summer and fetching friends with us, i have requested we are neighbours and hope they rise to our request, i would recommend to all, if you are just about to go and are reading the reviews before you go, dont listen to the ones who put this place down as they just seam to be picking at little things, go and enjoy yourselfs, we have been to many haven holidays and this so far is the best.

i have been to hafan y mor it will be 4 years this year .i food the is lovely i would recommed it to any familys the want a fun holiday . the lakeside inn is a great place to have some dinner and have a drink . the is a play area for the kids . a bar for the adults . the carven was brillant it was only a walk away from the shop . great place to go love it

Me and my family have been to a site in Wales called Hafan Y Mor sevaral times and we were outstanded by the price.There are 5 people in our family and it all came to £185 and my cousins,auntie and uncle went there at the same time and thay didnt pay much either the staff are very frendly as the go round day by day and do activaties with the little ones and even have a chat with the grown ups if theres any problem dont hide it as they are happy to help.We realy enjoyed our holiday there and we are going for a 4th time on june 4th 2011.

i would recommend hafan y mor to anybody and everybody if i could.. i went with my husband, 3teenagers, 9year old daughter and 5, sister in law, nana, and my brother in law. On the 30th august until the 3rd.. and i would definately reasure anybody im going back the apartments arnt spectacular but they are standard and even when you get them without the living room and kitchen.. you dont need them and its more of a relaxing holiday with the restaturant you eat at everyday! no costs included with marvelous food for adults and childrens menu.. all you can eat bufay. Theres so much for the kids the teenagers done lazer quest, go karts, roller disco and also rope works. Which was fab! we only spent 235 for the apartment and the cost for the food for the week. Also we choose the best week in august to go as the second from lass day the forecast stretched to 32 degrees! The scenery in this park is beautiful the lake is stunning and its a very family welcoming park. Deffinately going again and i reasurre you cancelling your holiday was the wrong thing to do!

Having stayed at a few haven sites, this is ok, lets remember most of theses sites are aimed at children, fantastic pool, boating lake, 3 fantastic parks, 2 different spar shops, on the whole a great holiday we paid £670, for 8 of us in a delux caravan in the middle of August, so on that basis a great holiday, one thing i would say its worth nipping to black rock sands beech about 10mins in the car as the one on site is very poor, the only thing i would have like to know before we went is that it is like being in liverpool as i think liverpool was empty last week and all here, not a bad thing, even so i feel greenacres 5 mins up the road has higher standards overall.

the hubby and i have taken our kids and my mum and dad several times to hafan y mor in the half board rooms we have stayed in the comfort and the standard and found the both perfetly acceptable but to tell the truth i wouldnt book the apartments they are to far away from the resterant and the entertaiments and dont look as nice. the resterant is great you can eat as much as you want and you can always find something you like to eat great value for money you can great offers at the begining and end of the season i will be going again for sure

For what you pay - you can't really fault it. What do you people exepct? 5 star accomodation and gourmet food at budget prices.

Accomodation.
Two bedroom chalet - ground floor.
Clean and tidy although the tv was rather small.
Two sofa's - both perfectly servicable.
kitchen - equipped with microwave and oven.
No problems with damp or foul smells other people have reported.

Entertainment.
Lots for the kids to watch and get involved in during the day.
The show bar caters for adults into the late evening. Although the special guest entertainment was a bit hit amd miss the Haven employees all work hard and they're pretty easy on the eye so you've no excuse to be bored. The also do bingo and other participation games. Prices in the bars are pretty reasonable with a four pint pitcher costing less than a tenner and a yard of lemonade (including a yard long plastic themed drinking appendage) very well priced.

Eating in/out.
We stopped half board - and the food is not at all bad. Lots of choice and to be honest I was expecting school dinner type fayre but it exceded my expectations. You can also order pizzas, fish and chips or burger king should you so desire.

Beach.
To be frank - not good. But there is a large grassy area just behind it should you want to run about and play ball games.

Other stuff.
On site shop is well stocked.
Staff across the site as a whole were very friendly.
Crazy golf is excellent.
Swimming pool okay - not great for swimming but messing about on the slides and wave machine is fun.

All in all - I would go there again. My five year old boy absolutely loved it and didn't want to go home on the last day. He even asked if we could move there! What better recommendation can anybody give?

Great holiday maybe even the best Me my Mum,Dad & 2 brothers have been on.

Hafan Y Mor is set at a great location the nearest town (Pwllheli)is a 5 minute drive down the road.It has direct access to a beach.
The quality of the caravan was superb everything was so clean.We got a 3 bedroom caravan which you greatly need to have a good space even if only 4 of you are going.(Though i'm not saying there is no space at all.)
I must point out now that there is a railway through the top part of the park,but don't be alarmed!!! it only goes past once or twice a day & is totally blocked off at all points so no-one will get hurt,we were a bit annoyed when we found out we were very near the railway but, after a good night's sleep and not 1 train going past the whole night we soon got over that problem.
The pool was fantastic all the slides were great it was very clean & hygienic there a good few people in the pool, there was lifeguards at nearly every point so very safe.
The entertainment was great for everyone at the start of your holiday you get a little booklet which tells you all the things that are happening during the time you are staying.The arcades were good too & so were the funstars.(The entertainers.)
There was a fish & chip shop & a burger king there too they both did lovely food they also have a resterauntbut I never went into it.

We have just come back from a Week at this Site and it was Great, We are Booking again and can't wait.
The Beach is not the best but apart from that the rest was 100%, The Kids loved it and we loved it.

We had a Caravan at the Top of the site Mountain View it was amazing very Clean possibly a new Caravan i think
excellent views also.
Don't be put off by some Reviews this really is a great place for a Family Holiday been Twice with Haven now and it's great i am used to Cyprus and the Greek Islands but Haven has improved so much.

As i say we will be back next year for sure.

it is amazing nice and clean and lots to do for children and adults massive pool also has a great beach going again soon i love this site best haven site ever with lovely views of everest mountian and if you go haf board you can eat what you want with loads of choices to thik about. i would pick this as my family holiday,i read some comments about it being bad it is not it is the best haven site u can think of great things to do for all the family with treats all round the corner there is a lake with boats gokarts loads of things to do for all your family every was clean when i went. comfy beds clean shower best site i have ever seen haven haf y mor.

it was fun a for all my kids as well it was fun for us.It was good to see my kids smil and see them happy and there was good swwiming it was real big and fun i like it all. we went to the pool the beach the evning show we went to a lot of place we had a big caravan for all of us . we all had a good timke and that the many parts i like the most and we did ever thing to ge there asw a family not i do this ok i will do that we all did ever thing to ge there and did ever thing that ever one whant did
