hi just got back from a wonderfull holiday at haven hafan y mor. i read all the reviews b4 i booked & packed my bedding includig my detol wipes. i travelled from birmingham to wales nice during the day but a bit creepy in the dark as all A roads. we booked the comfort plus appartments as no pets had been n their. upon arrival we were directed to our apartment which hd a sea view. the apartment itself was very nice large open plan kitchen dinning room & sitting area with colour tv &dvd player. double bedroom had a double bed with wardrobe & hairdryer, twin room had 2 single beds with wardrobe. i have to say i was very impressed on the cleaniness of the rooms & bathroom. their was a bit of a musky smell but i soon got rid of it with my scent sticks. the resort was very lively & had good entertainment lined up during the day & evening suited both kids & adults. the staff was very helpfull & friendly infact everyone we met were really nice. the beds were not as comfortable as you get in premier inn but wat else do you expect! anyone planning a visit go with a open mind alot of things to do on the park, loads of beautifull places to visit, i'm definatly going back as just didnt mannage to do everything of the park.
if you just want to relax & enjoy this place is a must.
p.s. just thought let you know this site use to be owned & runned by butlins but then haven took over.

Booked with the Sun and upgraded to the highest standard accomodation after reading bad reviews. On arrival reception area was free and the man I spoke to was friendly and informative. We found our caravan easily, we had been upgraded to a Platinum caravan, we were quite happy with this! It was a home from home (apart from the smell of cigarette smoke). Even had an en-suite bathroom in the main bedroom. DVD and tv in both bedrooms and lounge. Freeview in all rooms. The site itself was a bit shab ...- Read Guest's review (315 words and 1 comment)

i was really worried about going here after reading reviews! im glad i did read the reviews though because it made me book a privately owned lodge. It made all the difference. I can not fault where we stayed in snowdonia view a quiet bit of this massive park. I think the trouble starts if you get a chalet they looked run down cramped and noisy. They were over the other side of the park which in itself was very different to where we were. It was at the back of the park where it has obviously b ...- Read Guest's review (223 words)

Have just arrived back from staying at Haven, Ha Fany Mor park in a comport plus apartment. Good point to this was the view, we were on the first floor apartments and you looked out of our door to a stunning view of the beach and mountin areas. Beach access was superb, right outside our doors. Apartment was clean and tidy but very shabby on the outside. Downside to this location was the distance to the main park attractions, the walk was very long and if you have any elderly members of your ...- Read Matts Mum's review (257 words)

Haven Holidays, Hafan y Mor was great for kids they enjoyed the swimming pool and entertainment at nights in the showbar. But the Lakeside inn where we went for meals most days I have to say is probably the worst place to eat ever for me as i am a chef. The food was over cooked . grey scrambled egg. and cold tikka masala . You are supposed to stay at door till someone comes to seat you . Well most of the time there was nobody there for a good 10 -15 mins . We got breakfast and had finished it b ...- Read Guest's review (220 words)

Just come back from Hafan y Mor. And want to say it was fantastic, the park the area, the funstars, the shows all fantastic. We arrived and checked in greeted by a very helpful guard at the gate who told us what to do.Until check in time we familarised ourselves with the park.1st impression large clean and plenty to do.I decided to go to the mobile early to make up beds.As I was making the beds a lady came to check the home and pointed out the the living area seat wasn't cleaned properly ans offered ...- Read tony gervin's review (352 words)

we have been to Hafan y Mor park many times we feel it cant be faulted. a lot of the comments we have just read we feel people do have some bad experiences but in general you will find it hard to beat this park. we have stayed in various types of accomadation at hafan y mor chalet, apartments, caravans and lodge and we feel we have had value for money in them all. some booked through haven and others private. our last holiday here was 20/06/09 - 04/07/09 and we are going back 08/08/09 for a furth ...- Read ANDYDUDE2009's review (216 words)

Arrived at Haven Holidays, Hafan y Mor on the Monday to massive queues at check-in, got to the desk to be allocated a 2 bed apartment that was miles away from all amenities despite asking to be close as dad recently had op, we questioned this and was told as had booked holiday through the Sun were getting the lowest standard of accomodation. Got to apartment and opened door and was greeted by a vile mouldy smell!!! Everything on site was very expensive, food drink boat hire and bike hire ie - ...- Read mickey1968's review (222 words)

I am only back from Hafan y Mor with my husband, daughter and her friend. The girls had a brilliant time and we could spend some time together. They spent the day around the park on the karts, playing football, on the boats and had the best time in the pool especially the slides were fabulous and the lifeguards were really helpful. At night the entertainment was fantastic especially GAME-SHOW TIME.
The apartment we got was grand for us, it was a two-bedroom apartment with a shower and WC. We at ...- Read Guest's review (145 words)

We booked a week's stay in a 'deluxe' apartment at the Haven Hafan Y Mor park. On arrival the apartment was a real disappointment. It just looked shabby- the leather sofas were coming apart, it could have done with a fresh coat of paint and the beds were rock hard and really uncomfortable. And the noise!! It was horrendous, every time someone moved in the apartment above it sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling. We could even hear them having a pee! I actually got very little ...- Read LHN's review (368 words)

I was overall disappointed by Hafan Mor and would not recommend it to most people.Be prepared to spend a lot more than just your initial accomodation and park pass entry. This pass allows you to go in the swimming pool and to allow entry into the entertainment only.- Read Guest's review (97 words)

Having been to Craig Tara many times we decided on a change, wish we hadn't, food & accommodation in Scotland was far better, the accommodation in Wales was 1950's at it's best, the bathroom door wouldn't shut, no toilet roll holder, damp smell, I asked at reception for a joiner to fix it six times, it was eventually done the day before we left, the mess left by the joiner for me to clean up, well done to the bar staff, they were superb, the Management team?, non existent, as an ex Pontins Manag ...- Read Guest's review (177 words)

Having been twice to Hafan y Mor, once in a challet and once in a caravan I would reccomend anybody goes in a caravan for two reasons. 1 the challets are unchanged from the 70s and show their age and 2. if you book with some of the owners direct the prices are soo much cheaper than havens own price. The one I booked was with hafanymorholidays.com and was genuinely £200 cheaper than the haven catalogue price.- Read alf123's review (100 words)

Just spent a long weekend at Hafan Y mor and we really enjoyed. We booked the platinum caravan in the Tryfyn area of the park and were really impressed, The caravan was lovely and had room to play for our boys 5 & 3. Very clean and well equipped caravan, felt brand new. Swimming pool large and older boy loved slide and youngest liked little pool with a baby slide. Would definitely recommend for families but book the best caravan you can afford.- Read LFid's review (151 words)
