Booked holiday with Presthaven sands though the sun newspaper for 3 nights stay it was shockinly bad. I up graded the caravan to a luxury there was nothing luxury about it the canavan carpet was dirty and floor, the cooker was dirty and all the knifes, forks etc were dirty too so all had to be washed.we had 1 drinking glass so had to go and get another. The caravan was freezing cold you could feel the draft though the windows and doors so we slept on the sofa bed which was moldly.
The fish n chip shop was discusting we had to wait ages to be served even though nobody was in we had 2 chips an gravy and they had no flavour and cold cost nearly £5 and it went in the bin there were no bin firsilities so all rubish was in the caravan making it smell.
The meau at the mash and barrel was rubish no proper food just burgers when there was a burger king next door anyway, so we had to keep leaving the site to get food.
The entertanment was ok but the drinks were very expensive.when we saw a hot dog stand we thought we will get one for tea tomorrow and it didnt come back and the kids shop was closed.
We went to burger king and it was expensive, the archade prizes were rubbish and most of the games were ticket winning.
When we went to the entertanment on the last night people kept standing up so we couldn't see so we went to the caravan after, we were going to sleep at about 12 o'clock only to be woken up 12.30 by the noise of the neighbours shouting screeming laughing and talking on are doorstep after secuity told them to go to bed they carmed down by this time its 3 o'clock and then they put the music on up until 4.15 when we got some sleep. we would never go back ever again

Booked through the sun holiday tokens paid £120 for our stay. Site itself run down, shabby stinky club house, pool disgusting. Caravan even though was upgraded was dirty, smelly carpets, real shame cos if they spent money on club, and pool area would bring in more satisfied customers. The beach if you stay in caravans near site entrance is a distance away to say the least... Disappointed stay.- Read Guest's review (67 words)

Stayed on our first Haven holiday at Prestatyn and it was horrendous..... The saying get what you pay for springs to mind - £60 for family of 4 from Daily Mail - never again and would be dubious about going to another Haven no matter what i pay! There were loads of issues;
- queue to check in was ridiculous - wait time nearly an hour.
- caravan was v v v filthy - beds stunk/had stains and ended up with black feet from floors - had to clean kitchen and bathroom and wash pots/pans again

Arrived at Presthaven Sands on the 25/9/2009, for a 3 night break, via the Daily Mail Offer, had asked about an upgrade, when making the service charge payment, but was advised not an option, we were a delux plus.
When we arrived we were given a set of keys, however neither myself or my husband , were able to open the caravan door, so we went back to reception, were were advised the caravan had required a lock change, and were given new keys
When we entered the caravan, the smell hit us, then we ...- Read Guest's review (231 words)

Myself and my partner booked a three night stay in Sept from fri - mon with The Sun £9.50 holiday offer for us and our two children to Presthaven Sands. It cost £120 altogether for our stay after we upgraded our caravan from standard to luxury plus. This was our first caravan holiday and so were new to Haven also. To be honest I was absolutely dreading going after reading the dreadful reviews and we were really expecting the worst.
Directions to the park are not very clear and our s ...- Read Guest's review (584 words)

we went to presthaven in july and it was awful, we had booked for a 7 night stay but only managed 3 nights. the caravan - superior plus - was dirty, i had to clean it before we unpacked. stained carpet, sofa + net curtains. the water heater was also broken. we went to the clubhouse and our feet stuck to the carpet- it was awful. it certainly came to life after midnight- my two children were scared at the shouting and arguing by a few of the other park users at around 3AM!! we would never reccomm ...- Read Guest's review (115 words)

My friend and I (58 & 60)have just returned from Presthaven Sands, we asked to be close to the facilities and were given a lovely caravan within easy walking (distance due to mobility problems). Although we did not use the facilities only the 1st weekend my granddaughter aged 4 really enjoyed herself, there being 2 pools, soft play, outdoor playground. The site itself catered well for the youngsters but nothing for the oldest generation, having been to Haven sites before we were aware of this and ...- Read Guest's review (179 words)

We had 3 nights at Presthaven Sands in July, me and my husband, 12yr old son and our little dog. Our caravan - a Prestige Plus, was spotless with plenty of room and in a nice area. We loved the site as we were there for long walks on the dunes and beach and also enjoyed the Gokarts.
My husband and son were not impressed though with the swimming baths and I thought the entertainment in the evenings was inferior compared to some sites I have been on (Hafan y mor was great).I also wish there had b ...- Read Guest's review (140 words)

Having booked a 2 night stay at Presthaven Sands for a short break over the August Bank Holiday weekend all I can ask myself is...why ?!
We had booked a 2 bedroom Standard Plus (costing £200 - this caravan should have cost £500 for 2 nights but we received a £300 discount)and was a little nervous upon reading the reviews the morning of our arrival. We were right to be nervous...it is worse than anyone has mentioned on any of these sites.
We checked in at 6.30pm and had checke ...- Read Guest's review (449 words)

Got back from Presthaven Sands in Wales on saturday, NEVER AGAIN!. Luckily for us we booked a private caravan which was lovely nice size and quite cheap for the 6 nights, had everything we needed, would recommend the caravan but pointless due to the location. On arrival you couldn't tell you was on a Haven site at all. Had problems finding the caravan. We went straight to reception to purhcace our passes. I paid £71 for 2 adults and 1 child, My 6 month old was free. If you do decide to go ...- Read Guest's review (282 words)

I have just come back from a weekend in presthaven. Have to say the kids enjoyed it but theyre only 6 and 4 large group of us. Caravans were dirty dishes were old and beds to small plenty of storage though for clothes etc etc. The whole atmosphere was what bothered me i am of ethnic origin and felt that 95 per cent of the ppl were talking to us like we were aliens and had 2 heads. staff were rude and arcade to loud be prepared 4 a very long wait to check in.- Read Guest's review (90 words)

Where do I start?I booked a 'prestige' caravan at Presthaven sands through Haven thinking it would guarantee me comfortable accomodation. What a joke. The caravan was filthy. The carpet was caked with dirt. The blind in kitchen area had a layer of grime on it.The seats had hairs and crumbs all over them.I complained to reception who sent a cleaner up who was in and out in all of 5 minutes. The site itself is tatty and everything looks tired.Mash and Barrel food is rotten.Tables are sticky and carpets ...- Read Guest's review (223 words)

just got home today from presthaven sands we were so disgusted with the whole experience we have come home 3 days early.
the club house smells the carpets need throwing out everything is about targeting kids to spend money.
the caravan stank and if you prefare to got to bed at a reasonable time forget it you constantly get woke up at 2am by people coming home from the club house.
everything is an extra cost even the deposit for the tv remote control
beware take lots of cash with you because you ...- Read franfromhull's review (115 words)

Club = Very smelly, over crouded, beer soaked carpet, rubbish entertainment.
Mash and barrel (pub/reasturant) = Really good food, not too badly priced.
