We have just returned from a week in Weymouth Bay Holiday Park. It was fabulous. We had no trouble finding it using Satnav. First impressions of the Haven were good as you swing into site. Parking close to reception but be aware that at scheduled times for checking in, it can get a little busy. On checking in, staff were friendly and very helpful. We were allocated a caravan on Hillview, which was not too close to the main complex, so didn't get all the late night noise. Caravan was clean... (read more)

We hired a lovely caravan from a very helpful lady. We would definately recommend, and book again and have done so already. The park was great for our little ones and we were far enough away from the main complex that we couldn't hear anything. The caravan was great for the kids as there was plenty of room - no squeezing between the beds and the walls etc. Price was good and far cheaper than Haven. We were also able to park our car right next to the caravan which was great. We had to use... (read more)

We have just got back after a week at weymouth bay,we really enjoyed our time in weymouth but would next time stay in a hotel near the beach. Our caravan was fantastic, it was a prestige and certainly lived up to its standards. Our beds were comfortable, the kitchen was quite big, the living room was great apart from having no stalls to sit at the table and eat with which we did complain about but got no stalls and a brillant television that was flat screen, the bathroom was spotless and... Went to Weymouth bay in October 2010. our 3rd year. Altough it was the second to last week in the season the park was clean tidy and very welcoming. we arrived at around 2pm, 2 hours early for checking but still recived our key. our caravan was spotless. apart from one night when we had to double up the dovets because it was sooooo cold it was very comfortable. the 20in lcd tv with dvd player was a nice touch!
the staff were more than welcoming and the entertainment was excellent. even when... (read more)

Stayed in Weymouth Bay in August, and had an excellent time. As a 4* park, everything was as we expected, clean & tiday and staff were extremely helpfull. We have been here a few times and have never been disapointed. Lots of plans in place for next year, including updating (an already excellent) outside pool..Close proximity to the beach, nice and quiet location and we will be returning again. We have already discussed the option of purchasing a holiday home here. (read more)

paid for prestige caravan, got low class tacky smelly caravan, staff never once asked how our holiday was, tacky and smelly, carpets in bathrooms smelt of stale urine unhygeinic, and put me off even having a shower. kids entertainemnt also tacky, repetative boring too man slots machines, what kind of ethos This for our kid to gamble at this age, would not recommend HAVEN weymouth bay to any one, would rather save and go abroad (read more)

After having spent a few days here, I can only assume all the positive reviews to have been written by Haven Management.
The place is an absolute dump, money-making machine run in the most cynical fashion, to overstimulate kids to pester their parents throwing money away at gambling machines, pony rides, go karts, ice creams the list is endless.
The camp itself is poorly laid out, with no proper parking spaces for a lot of the caravans.
If you consider yourself a semi-civil human being,... (read more)

Spent a week at Weymouth Bay and I found the restaurant served up a very limited pile of muck the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful the site was ok but seemed to be full of young yobs on drinking sprees I was sitting in my caravan one night and a group of yobs hurled abuse at me and my children fir no reason. The entertainment was ok if you like listening to songs like the lazytown theme tune
The amusement arcade was full of kids hurling abuse and was tiny and so noisy

Just spent 5 days at the park, caravan was in good order in a good location and had all mod cons. Park staff we all great fun and tried in every way to make us welcome. Down side is that Bourne leisure are a company who are in business to take as much of your hard earned cash as you are prepared to give them so don't blame them if you fall into the trap of buying over priced tat from the on site shop there are plenty of supermarkets locally. entertainment for the 3-10 year old's is good but... We stayed at this site for 5 days in early July and had a wonderful time. The really good weather certainly helped as we spent a lot of time in the lovely outdoor pool. Very clean and tidy site and the staff were really great. We had a fantastic location on the park and the Prestige Caravan was lovely but the kitchen area could have been a bit cleaner and we did need a few more utensils e.g. a baking tray would have been good. A brilliant welcome with Roary the Tiger entertaining the children at the carpark! Finding our caravan was tricky as it wasn't actually numbered and the maps were confusing but once there it was spacious and inviting - the pans hadn't been cleaned however! Our shower was cold but when we mentioned it at reception, maintenance were here quickly!

Just returned from this camp and are very dissapointed. We vist around three camps a year with the sun holiday promotion and this was the worst to date. When we arrived we collected our keys from a security guard (who was lovely and plesant i must add despite having to deal with several drunks) and were optimistic about our caravan as they appeared nice. When we arrived in our caravan it was clear that this wasnt a deluxe caravan as we had paid for. The carpets were once beige we assume but... (read more)

We paid an extra fee to get a prestige caravan with beds made and 2.30pm checkin. Our caravan was dirty and worse of all the beds hadn't been changed they were obviously the last tennants and the "cleaners" had just shook the duvets a bit! On complaint the staff did a good job of rehousing us but in the next van which was spotless the beds were not made up and by the time we were finally settled it was 4.30 and our day had been wasted. Caravan itself (Superior plus) was ok - fairly roomy but the kitchen utensils, cutlery & crockery were in an appalling state and all the mattresses desperately need replacing. We have been going to Weymouth Bay for a number of years now, it is a lovely family friendly site with lots of activities & entertainment to keep kids of all ages happy. Weymouth is a fabulous coastal town that has me hooked with it's picture perfect scenery. Considering the cost, we felt that very little of our money was being put back into the park. We went in a family group of 46 with 8 caravans so I feel can give a general overview. All the Caravans were shabby, dirty and had seen better days. The appliances varied, some had microwaves, and some had toasters but there was noting uniform. We insisted that several of our vans were re-cleaned due to them being dirty. e.g., dirty windows, stained carpets, mud up walls, grim and hairs all over the... (read more)

I think the park itself could do with a lick of paint here and there, but I can't fault any of the ground level staff on the park. I am sure the constant caravan sell, sell, sell is the same as other Haven parks but I found this was really in our face. The additional costs for a family to spend an evening at the Showbar makes it an expensive thing but I would highly recommend going along to see the hard work the Funstars put in, they made my holiday special for both my niece and I. The integration system of caravans at Weymouth Bay Haven Holiday Park means you can pay far more for a gold caravan, but be in the worst location in the park because they feel they should not have any class discrimination. So Joe Bloggs paying next to nothing for the most basic caravan will have the lst laugh when he finds he in the top position on site.

On the whole we had a great August week at Weymouth Bay Haven Holiday Park. The caravan was excellent, and we used every facility there; including the launderette which was all modern. The food and the staff in the restaurant were great, as was the size of the meals.
Weymouth itself is a 5 minute drive, but I would recommend the Park and Ride from the Sealife Centre, as finding a parking space in town was a pain.

We chose Sandymouth Bay with haven Holidays, because it looked lovely in the brochure. However when we arrived, I sat and cried, as there was hardly anything there. The club was small, the diner was OK, but again small. The adventure playground was more like a park, with 2 baby swings, 2 older children's swings, and a few other climbing things. Not at all what we would call an adventure playground.
