Good Points: very helpful staff. clean accomodation, close to berwick.

Bad Points: 4pm check in. horrendous!!!!

General comments: we have just came back from haven in haggerston castle. we had a great time. the staff were more than helpful and the accomodation was clean tidy and, dry. we paid an extra £20.0 for a quicker check in time of 2pm. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED the queues in the pub waiting area at 4 pm werre horrendous filled with fraught parents and very unhappy children. i do think this issue has to be addressed. we went to spittal beach which is 10 drive from park amazing beach un touched almost no one else there. great ices cream cones there as well went down a treat with the kids. also recommend the swan centre swimming pool as the one on site can be busy.

Been on our first caravan holiday @ combe haven. At first I was nervous as I read quite a lot of negative reviews, when we got there I had my fingers and toes crossed that our caravan won't be anything like any of the reviews I've read. We collected the keys and headed to our caravan. We were very lucky as parking was right opposite the caravan and had not problem unloading our things. When we got inside our caravan it was clean and had everything we needed. The entertainment was good for the ki ...

I personally enjoyed my trip to Combe Haven, Haven Holidays, we have now been there twice. I do admit the service is extremely poor. When we turned up at our caravan we did not have the following: Bowls Spoons Forks Lead for Kettle Handle for the Gril Pillows Also our caravan smelt of cat urine. We specifically asked for a pet-free caravan, and we did not get what we requested. When we went up to customer services, they gave us knives, pillows a new kettle and a handle for the grill. They did n ...

Coombe Haven, Haven Holidays, was OK. There were ants in the bungalows, most (out of 4) of which had some items missing. The entertainment was good for older kids, but maybe not for under 2s. Too many noisy slot machines with rubbish ticket prizes. Burger King was very overpriced. Don't expect luxury, and you won't be disappointed.

Combe Haven is a family friendly park with lots to do and easy access for other south coast attractions. Staff are friendly and willing to help.

ive been to Combe Haven caravan site with my family every year for about 5 years! and as long as u dont have really high expectations your fine! yes it is by a landfill site but when you go to these type of places u dont tend to think about the views its the last thing o n your mind! i must say though when you first go into your caravan there is a odd smell but after 10 minutes its not noticeable at all! do keep in mind though if your looking for adult entertainment dont go for family campsites ...

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Haven Holidays, Combe Haven, and had a great time. In fact I didn't even realise the hilly view from our caravan was a landfill site until I saw it mentioned on here lol. Maybe that explains the abundance of seagulls!!Our caravan was clean and tidy only gripe was they hadn't left us any pillows but this was soon put right.what entertainment we did see was good (our youngest son was more into charging around the soft play area then watching the shows).though ...

After reading the reviews of this site we was dreading coming to this holiday park in the summer holidays. We had booked a gold caravan with Haven Holidays, Combe Haven on a 8 days for 7 days offer for around £400 pound in the summer holidays. Arrived at main car park and the reception staff was outside with tables handing out the keys for the caravans. No queue just walked up got keys and back into car to find the caravan. Caravan was nice and clean but a basic gold i think as have stopp ...

This was meant to be a chill out 3 night weekend arriving 31st Oct for a group of working ladies. On arrival chalet uninhabitable due to strong smell, on complaining told we could have a caravan, and no we could not view this and no refund would be offered. Caravan down a steep slope off a dim lit path, and our black and white map did not help in the dark, wet conditions.Caravan not of equal specification to chalet paid for with beds made up for arrival. Fittings broken, full bedding not suppl ...

We spent 3 days at Coombe Haven in October. The first night we had no bedding because they had not left any, plus the fire did not work and we had six children to keep warm, the caravan was damp. Needless to say we had a terrible night. I have complained and asked for a full refund but so far they have refused, albeit they agreed that it was unacceptable - ER!!! The pool changing area has three small cubicles for hundreds of people. The floor was filthy. The so called lounge is right at th ...

The holiday at Combe Haven was a disaster from start to finish. Started with a dirty caravan and inexperienced unhelpful staff in Guest Services (one in particular). Two of our party of four departed on the Monday although we were booked in until the Friday. Enough said!

After reading reviews was worried about going but was pleasantly surprised. Our caravan was large n fairly clean n had nice grassy area near with wild rabbits. General site was clean and well maintained. We visited lots of places in the area n didn't want to come home after the week. Our daughter (2 yrs) loved it!! We would def come back again!!! After going to Lakeland n Primrose Valley this is our favourite!!

After reading negative reviews for this site we felt we d like to add our own! We have just returned from a weekend break at Combe Haven and had a lovely time. We stayed in Harley Mead and the caravan was lovely and clean the staff were pleasant and the entertainment was good for both children and adults!

Very friendly helpful people running a very clean and pleasant park. Good upgraded facilities available all day. Entertainment for adults does not start till 2115, too late if you need to put kids to bed for next days events therefore adults dip out on entertainment. Most entertainment could be done earlier as children like live bands as well as adults. A very enjoyable two weeks, we extended on a camp offer as we were enjoying ourselves so much.

The whole site was untidy, litter everywhere, the staff were not helpful at all, the manager was very rude. I would never recomend anyone to go to Coombe Haven, we have been to other haven parks and have had no trouble at all, I really do think that haven should take a long hard look at the management of the site!

On arrival the caravan had not yet been cleaned, found a very nice and friendly male supervisor, who told us he would be 5 minutes and the caravan would be cleaned. Sure enough he was true to his word and even helped clean the caravan along with a polite and apologetic lady. Once we eventually moved in we found there was only 2 cups both which were chipped to hell, and there was 6 of us sharing the caravan, our parents were staying in the caravan next to ours and also only had 2 cups with 4 shar ...

We read the reviews before going to this site thankfully so went armed with plenty of cleaning fluids and our own bedding which was fortunate because the caravan had been cleaned but they appeared to have forgotten to clean the fridge which was full of large crumbs of food. The smell from the cleaning products was rank. It wasn't a clean smell whatever it was so take air freshener with you! There was what appeared to be blood on a duvet and the pillows were insubstantial and felt slightly gru ...
