We have just come back from Haven. What a disapointment, the staff are very friendly. But the caravans are very worn out. The first one we were given was filthy and I cant begin to discribe some of the stains on the funiture.
I have a small child and there was no way I could of stayed in it.when we were given another van it was cleaner but very worn and shabby.
After a long drive with kids you really dont need the disapointment.
I really think 2 nights was the most I coud handle so we checked out early.
The whole place needs a real ripping out and start again.

Upon arrival after a 5 hour trip,we went to book in only to be told that we'd already booked in an hr earlier, which really took some doing as we were still on the M25 at that time.It soon became apparent that our caravan had been given to someone else, with whom I shared a surname, but nothing else in common. We ended up in a smelly caravan, at the far end of the park. The staff were not helpful or apologetic. The restaurant was expensive(Barrel & Mash),and the food and staff were not really that ple ...- Read Guest's review (155 words)

Booked a week in a superior caravan at Combe Haven cost £318 with a £52 discount paying in full should have been £370, nothing like the video of our accommodation. it was 26x10 .the worst caravan i have ever stayed in ,they could not move us has they were fully booked (so the woman on reception told us)only managed to stay 4 nights we could not force ourselves to put up with it any longer.Put down to Bad experience at Combe Haven. PLEASE READ THIS!!!!!
We arrived back from our holiday at Combe Haven, Haven Holidays 3 weeks ago! We left the park having booked our holiday for next year! We were that impressed!
The whole family (six in total) travelled down from Norfolk. Our ages range from 16-mid 80's (and everything inbetween!!)
When we arrived we checked-in very quickly and efficiatly. Our Caravan (Superior Plus) was what you we expected, clean and spacious.
The LiveLounge was not as packed as it was last year so fin ...- Read jacobarla's review (301 words)

Just come back from a weeks holiday at this caravan site. This place is disgusting. The Combe Haven caravans are so dirty we spent the first 2 days cleaning. Smelly, dusty with used tissues under the settees.
The first two plates had been washed but the third plate had a piece of leftover toast stuck to it. The caravans are all squashed in and unless you are very lucky you do not get any outdoor space. Your view is another dirty caravan. I cannot think of anything postive to say.- Read Guest's review (89 words)

Weekend break - Haven Holidays, Combe Haven August 2009. Excellent entertainment, and the Mash and Barrel was excellent for food. All staff very friendly. It is hilly though. Karaoke selection very limited. Pool is great - especially outdoor pool weather permitting. Overall we had a great time - family of 4 with children aged 17 and 11.- Read Guest's review (53 words)

I booked a 'Sun holiday' for myself, my girlfriend and her little boy to Combe Haven for July of this year and on the whole it wasn't too bad.
We travelled from Mid-Wales (over 250 miles away) and weren't disappointed with what we saw. We got there to a beautiful day and the three of us went straight into the outdoor pool before checking in.
After we checked in we went to our caravan (Meadow Bank I think) and the only complaint I could have about it was that the carpets were verging on filthy. ...- Read Guest's review (335 words)

Coombe Haven, Haven Holidays Aug 09.We took our dog so was not expecting the greatest of caravans but was surprised. although it had not been cleaned properly it was better than expected. The shower was very powerful not the drippy type you normally get. Site was good but you must have strong legs as its set on hills. The beach is very stoney not much sand until the tide is right out but Camber Sands is about half hrs drive away. Staff were friendly and as you expect everything is overpriced but ...- Read Guest's review (99 words)

Well where shall i start - We booked a holiday to Comb Haven, Hastings with the sun holidays now im not faulting the sun as we have been with them before a few times and they were good. Anyway when we got there we was given unsuitable accommodation twice, the food in the mash and barrel was nasty tasted like cat food and we was at the bottom of 2 hills so to get anywhere we had to go up hill. There is 1 set toilets in the main building (right at the back of the arcade) which is silly. The pitch ...- Read Guest's review (194 words)

Back from a midweek break at Combe Haven. Used 'Sun Holiday' so it was value for money. Facilities are good. Evening entertainment for kids were also ok. Stayed at Saxon Court, Caravan was not very clean!!! Carpets stained and there was a huge amount of dust under the beds in all 3 bedrooms! Space was also a premium in the caravan! Have stayed at Haven near Bognor, can't remember park name but in comparison the caravans there were much better maintained. Having said that, Combe Haven was a ...- Read Guest's review (93 words)

Arrived at Combe Haven 8 hours ago and already had to change caravans once. After paying for a superior plus caravan we ended up in one which has the carpet stuck down with electrical tape. Half the door handles were missing, plus the nice hole in the wall. Having no sink in the toilet was also rather annoying. For a caravan for 8 people there was only space enough around the table for 4, maybe 5 if you all squished together.
After rushing to get everything back into the car and getting into a d ...- Read micha12's review (161 words)

We went to Combe Haven on the 20th June 2009 for a week. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We stayed in one of the Scotney Bungalows. The bungalows are quite basic- but then again all you would need. You dont get a vacum cleaner which is a bit of a pain as you have to brush the carpet all the time. The entertainment is excellent for both kids and adults. I would advise you to keep your money very safe at alll times as my partner had our spending money stolen on the first night... &poun ...- Read coprey's review (184 words)

we have just came back from haven in haggerston castle.
we had a great time. the staff were more than helpful and the accomodation was clean tidy and, dry. we paid an extra £20.0 for a quicker check in time of 2pm. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED the queues in the pub waiting area at 4 pm werre horrendous filled with fraught parents and very unhappy children. i do think this issue has to be addressed. we went to spittal beach which is 10 drive from park amazing beach un touched almost no one else ther ...- Read Guest's review (132 words)

We went to Combe Haven for a week on the 20th June 2009. We stayed in one of the Scotney Bungalows. There was a group of 8 of us- 5 adults and 3 children. Facilities in the bungalow are basic, but all you would need if you are not going to be staying in it throughout the day. There is no vacuum cleaner for the carpet- so it had to be brushed each day, which was a bit of a pain. Crack in the bath, which meant that you could not fill it above 1/4 full. The other facilities are quite good for the k ...- Read coprey's review (241 words)

Been on our first caravan holiday @ combe haven. At first I was nervous as I read quite a lot of negative reviews, when we got there I had my fingers and toes crossed that our caravan won't be anything like any of the reviews I've read. We collected the keys and headed to our caravan. We were very lucky as parking was right opposite the caravan and had not problem unloading our things. When we got inside our caravan it was clean and had everything we needed. The entertainment was good for the ki ...- Read sweetstuff26's review (203 words)
