My husband and our two children (age 3 and 15 mths) have just returned from Primrose Valley staying for 5 days (19th - 23rd Oct). I was rather anxious about the accommodation and its cleanliness (having read certain reviews on here and other sites) as we only booked standard. However, I need not have worried as it surpassed our expectations! It was a bright, spotlessly clean, spacious and modern 3 bedroom caravan with all the amenities you could wish for - Perfect for us!
The park itself was nice and easy to navigate. The arcades were a big hit with our two - especially the Tea cups ride! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I found all the food/drinks competitively priced. The shop was a little on the expensive side but only by a few pence (no where near the £150 extra like one review stated!)
Fish & Chip shop was lovely (Fish, a good sized portion of chips and peas £5.95), Burger King and Papa John's Pizza (Very tasty!) both have good family offers. Mash and Barrel offers a great pub lunch (2 meals for £8.99) we didn't eat there but others raved about the food.
The kids entertainment was fab for my 3yr old and he was glued to the 'Zoo Troop Show' from start to finish in Jesters Bar. There were also morning play sessions that both my boys could take part in (Free Toddlers Cubs Club Age 1-4yrs) which they painted, built and played with lots of different toys.
Down sides: Swimming Pools were rather small - although great if you like having a BIG (I mean BIG!) bucket of water land on your head every 4 mins! Both my boys loved Splash Adventure pool but my 3yr old was disappointed he couldn't go down the slide - even with an adult (Meanies!) (Lockers are 20p each and you don't get this money back - but it's only a small amount to pay out, for 4 of us we only used 1 locker)
Fun Fair and Crazy Golf was a big disappointment and over priced (We've been to Butlins where fair is included in cost of holiday and this beats Haven's poor effort hands down.) It looked old and tatty. So we decided to go to nearby Flamingo Land for a fantastic day instead and spent the same amount of money!
I would definitely go back to this park and recommend it to others.

Just back from 4 day break at Primrose Valley where we had a great time for first 2 days. Then the whole family were struck down with sickness and diahorrea which totally spoiled our holiday, thinking it was an isolated case we spoke to friends who were there at the same time and they to were struck down with the illness. At the start of review I said I had a great time but was very dissapointed with the caravan as I upgraded I was expecting something a little better than basic considering our fri ...- Read Guest's review (161 words)

We have just returned from a break at Primrose Valley haven park and were all very diappointed. We paid around £300 for a 3 night break. Everthing on the site was overpriced and there didn't seem to be any activities that were included in the holiday price, other than the small swimming pools which only made money on the lockers.
Even the bingo is a rip off! There is a prize bingo every night that must collect atleast a few hundred quid, however the prize for the full house must have c ...- Read Guest's review (669 words)

Great holiday at Haven Holidays, Primrose Valley, caravan modern, clean and spacious. Even though the park was busy it is so large you didn't feel crowded except at night in the Jesters entertainment room where you had to be in early to get seats at the front near the stage. All the facilities were great and my 3 & 9 year old had loads to do with the pools being their favourites. The on-site shop was not as pricey as I thought for bread/milk etc and were similiar to your corner shop prices. Th ...- Read Guest's review (112 words)

We spent 6 days at Haven Holidays Primrose Valley at the end of July 2009 after being recommended by a friend who had just returned. I found the park to be excellent. My children enjoyed the site more than any other we have been to and I now recommend it to my friends.
The site is extremely pleasant with wide main roads, plenty of nice green areas, wonderful views of the beach. We had some lovely walks around the camp whilst the children enjoyed the archade which was clean, very big and the ...- Read Guest's review (186 words)

Spent 20th to 27th July at Primrose Valley. Booked a superior plus van and got a beautiful van with veranda and sea view. Clean and most definitely a privately owned van. It had it's own washing machine and iron which made life a lot easier. Chinese Restaurant on the site was excellent and they do takeaways too. Primrose Valley Diner was great little place for lunch too. Nice walk along the beach to Filey with donkey rides for the kids. Fab choice of food on the park. Indoor Pool was g ...- Read Guest's review (166 words)

Plenty to do. The funfair is great, and there are LOADS of activities to choose from (ie. rockclimbing, archery, waterjets). The first time we went we got an amazing caravan, but this time we got a bit of a shabby one. We asked for another one, but it was just as bad. Most of the machines in funworks were broke. It's great here. It's probably more for toddlers because the shows are mostly kiddie stuff... BUT I LOVED IT...- Read Guest's review (79 words)

Have been going to Primrose Valley for 3 years and have never had a bad holiday there. It is good value for money and extremely clean and well maintained with high profile security. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The first year we went I just booked a cheap holiday as had two very small children and not much money. We got 'standard' caravan which was large comfortable and clean. It can be expensive to go if your not very good at saying 'no' to your kids, but the pools and p ...- Read ollie35's review (157 words)

Just enjoyed a great holiday at Primrose Valley with my wife and daughter.
We have been going to PV for many years, and although we still love the place we feel it has lost some of its personal touch, and become expensive in some areas ie fish and chips at five pounds ninety five, when you can go to nearby Filey and get quality for just over four pounds.
On arrival this year we went into Jesters for a drink and were greeted by someone who we think needed a personality transplant, surely bar staf ...- Read Guest's review (211 words)

Lots to do at primrose, the park itself is clean, and the general atmosphere was a good happy one.
However the caravan we got was filthy, and I mean filthy. We had booked superior plus! We got superior damp smells and thats about it.
Also I thought some of the staff were hopeless especially in burger king.
However the big bouncer in Funworks was a top bloke.
I think more things should be free in the park, as only entry to the pools and Funworks are free with the passes.
Apart from the van ...- Read rjg2211's review (173 words)

Primrose valley is the worst holiday I have ever been on. I will never be on another Haven Park the only thing that's free is the swimming pools and they are not that great compared to the one at Craig Tara. Its Butlins for me next time as swimming pools are great plus everything is free once you're on the park- Read Guest's review (74 words)

We had group booking of 5 prestige caravans, 3 of which were filthy and old, but after speaking to staff we were relocated no problem. Caravans were lovely. Went on Saturday 12th July and back home on Sat 19th July. Loved the area and the camp. As we had booked as a group we would have liked to have been together but not to be. Wouldn't do if group was elderly or infirm.- Read Ozzy Lizzy's review (111 words)
