Good Points: Good fun for family's, plenty to do, you pay for what you get, prime location. Clean and warm swimming pool, decent staff.
Bad Points: Evening entertainment complex "Bugsys" could do with expanding, this is because at 17.30 - 18.00 pm there are never any more tables left. You have to get in early to get a seat.Could do with other entertainment in the other 2 venues
General comments: Been using Devon Cliffs for the last 10 years and love the site. We have had times when we have not been happy with something or another, but when you approach the Haven staff they always help to sort out what problems we had in a 100% professional manor.

Just returned from our first visit to Devon Cliffs. It was a late season break so we we did not expect good weather. On booking in we were placed in a caravan dirty and smelly and certainly not to the top standard we had paid for. Complained and were placed in a private good standard van. Staff were rude and kept us waiting with my 9 month old grandaughter for over 45 minutes before relocation.Third day my daughter had her purse stolen in the amusement arcade with £170 and a £300 + m ...

Fantastic entertainment every night. Prices of drinks weren't so bad £10 for a 4 pint pitcher. Good caravan friendly staff. Maybe the weather but that cant be help seen as its October. Devon Cliffs is a really good site lovely surroundings perfect for a get away. Very well sign posted not fair from major places like Exeter and Torquay

On arriving, I accidentally paid for 2 weeks passes as I did not intend to use the facilities for the second week. Despite this, reception would not give me a refund until the end of the 1st week. However, they refused to give me a refund until I kicked up a massive stink in front of new arrivals eventually leading to me receiving it.
2 The site has now got far too big with too many caravans I feel.
3 Drinks were expensive for me
4 Both halls had no air conditioning or if they did, they did not ...

If you have kids and you want a cheap holiday either do not go - or - go with the understanding that you will have to be tough and say 'no' to your kids about 100 times a day! (though of course - if you just use it as a 'cheap base' and plan ahead - not to be in the 'lose all of your dosh centre' and to really explore Devon - it could work out as a good holiday)
If you can't be bothered to exlpore beautiful Devon and really unique little villages and shops, then go to Haven as bourne leisure wi ...

My family and myself have just come back from a week at Devon cliffs and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The caravan was absolutely lovely. The entertainment was brilliant especially the funstars shows. The funstars are fantastic I had great fun learning the boogie with the funstars dances. Would definitely recommend this holiday park to anyone that asked for a fun place to go.

Although I had been to this site approximately 30 years ago and had enjoyed it very much, I must say that I was quite disappointed with it now. I had been advised to try a different site but as Devon Cliffs had apparently had a lot of money invested in it, I thought I would give it a try. It would benefit extremely from cleaner changing areas surrounding the indoor pool (this wouldn't cost any extra), better lighting and improved showering blocks in the overflow field.

I went to this site when I was a child and had great great times there and wanted to share with my children, and as summer holidays been a wash out we booked on Fri to go the follow Tues (big big mistake) never again. We got great deal to go there but the amount of money we spent we could of had holiday in Spain again. It says that Devon Cliffs has had all kinds of money spent on it!! Looks like just spent money on more caravans to get more people into cattle market they call pools, Bugsy, Capo ...

We have just returned from camping here in the tent overflow field. I never met one person who enjoyed this experience while we were there. It seems Haven cater for the caravaners but not the tenters! Its a field at the top of the site with portaloos which are constantly dirty and smelly. I've never been to the music festivals but this is how I think they live. No cars on the field, which I can understand because of the kids etc but its a long way to carry your stuff and one hell of a walk to th ...

Our holiday to Haven was a big let down, luckily we booked a private caravan and didn't need to check in at reception and the caravan was very clean and modern. The weather for August was terrible so we resorted to going swimming nearly every day where the pool was dirty and the changing rooms were disgusting as they smelt, the pool contained a lot of bugs and leaves! The lockers cost £1 which was non returnable which mounted up if you ever forgot anything or wanted to put something in th ...

Went with an open mind to Devon Cliffs - came away early knowing I will never go back.
Felt like there was no control of anything.
With it raining so much the facilities were overstretched and the staff seemed like they could not cope.
One minute you would have to show your passes a minute later it was a free for all. This applied in the funworks and the pool.
The exit gate at the swimming pool was generally used as an entrance and therefore outdoor footwear was not controlled. There was mud, gr ...

Great weather at Devon Cliffs really helped this holiday although was a very enjoyable experience all said.
Plenty of activities to do without having to suffer more than one night of poor entertainment.
Surrounding area's, ie Dawlish, Torquay, Brixham were also great for day trips out.
Will be back in Devon asap but think I will try a different site though.

Went for a short break at the end of June. Had lovely sunny weather. The outdoor pools were great and very clean, nicely landscaped. Indoor pool, great for kids, but can get quite busy. Entertainment okay, but drinks can be expensive. Site very clean, with easy access to the beach. Found it easy to walk around the site, with a pushchair, didn't find it too hilly as other reviews have stated. Site is quite big. Only problem, was parking the car when checking in, as car park too small. Lovely land ...

Caravan appeared dirty, meant to be a supreme plus but I found it small, tiny beds, not enough linen provided, doors had to be kicked open as they wouldn't work.Massive site: with 3 under 5's we had to drive everywhere: to the beach, to the pool, to the complexKids club very very poor in dark, dirty looking bar with little natural light. Meant to be club for 1-4's but they seemingly lumped them all in with the up to 11 year olds. Promised activities such as painting and clay never appeared. Ever ...

Caravan seemed dirty, radio/cd player was broken, couldn't get more than 3 fuzzy channels on the tv. Wine glasses all cracked. (Beachside caravans).Restaurant meals were everything with chips. There was seemingly no healthy choice food on the entire site. All of the staff seemed to be eastern European which meant there was often a problem with ordering drinks and food because of the language barrier.
Pleasant enough holiday. The views made it for me, the rest was standard.

Noisy site, caravans seemed unclean - especially sofas! I felt the caravan was poorly equipped, thought the free entertainment was laughable, no heating other than gas fire in one room, very cold at night inside the caravan, staff did not appear very helpful on arrival or during week, pool closed early each day, yet Spa open late.
Lots of extras such as £1 for using lockers - not refundable.
I felt it had very much a production line feeling.
Great shame !

I was so scared of going there after I read the reviews but most of you guys were absolutely wrong. The place wasn't that hilly as you guys commented. It was a brilliant holiday. Fair enough the drinks were stupidly priced but and also the food but if you buy it from the Bayview supermarket, it isn't so bad. The Exmouth was only 10 mins away and it was a very nice to visit. I would fully recommend the place to everyone.

Nice area. Can be very expensive. Don't agree with all the machines in the amusement arcade. I don't like the idea of kids playing the machines either as I never saw anyone going away with more than they came in with. Meals in the centre are very expensive also, even a Burger King meal was £1 more expensive. Accommodation basic, oven never worked properly, surely it don't take an hour to cook a pizza? Wouldn't go again to Devon Cliffs as not much to do unless you are prepared to shell ...

I wanted to write this review (which I wouldn't normally do) because we were nearly put off coming to Devon Cliffs having read the previous reviews. I wanted to let everyone know what a great time we had here. We booked independently through Newman Holidays which I would recommend because we chose our caravan and also chose exactly where we wanted to be on the site. We chose one probably the furthest away from the entertainment complex because that is what we wanted. Yes there were steep hil ...

We are not normally complainers, but we found this place really poor could not wait to get home. Very expensive food and drink, dirty caravan, dirty beach, rude staff, people walking around drunk during the day, need I say any more, if this is Havens "flagship" site we will not be visiting any others. There are much nicer places to stay at in Devon.
