Good Points: 100W/Channel in 6.1 mode or 100W/Channel with 100/2=50W for the Back Surround in 7.1 Mode. Upgradable to full 7.1 with seperate amps/channel. Fully configurable. Good Quality Sound. Price ($300
Bad Points: Doesn't drop below 8 owms.
General comments: The Pioneer VSX-811s is one of the best amplifiers for its money. It is fully configurable, down to the last mode, speaker, bass managent & attenuation.
It has loads of options depending on your needs and setup.
It could easily humiliate amplifiers in the $500 - $1000 range.
Similar amps cost over $1500
If you need more specs (THX) or more power look for the Pioneer VSX-1011 or VSX-2011 which are also avery good amplifiers for their money.
I would definately recommend it or buy it again.
