I booked on Luton to Waterford, flight delayed for 2.5 hrs, when I got to the gate, I was told that the seat I had booked was broken and that I would have to take a taxi to Southend to catch a flight (the same plane after it had been to Waterford) which was also delayed. The last time I flew Waterford to Luton, flight was cancelled twice. Delays and cancellations are the norm for this airline. No matter how convenient it may seem to fly to a regional airport, it is not when you spend most of your holiday stranded! I will never travel with them again.

what a let down yet again they must only have one plane because waterford to birmingham and return to waterford is delayed for up to 3and hlf hours 2nite because the plane is in london third time its happened 2 my family in the past couple of months.they dont care my poor 75 year old mum waiting 2 get home they said they had text her she dosent own a phone dont book conecting trains cause u will miss them and the air line dont care my brother had a 7oclock flight waterford 2 birmingham it came in at 12.30 at night and there was no public transport had 2 get taxi to leicester cost£60

1 flight was canceled then a long bus trip to dubin

Baggage limit of 15 kilos is ludicrous. If you are traveling on or from an international destination, 15 Kg is two empty suitcases. 7 Euros per Kilo is what they charged me for Excess baggage, which worked out to be the cost of two return tickets between Dublin and Galway. They are following the footsteps of other well known budget airlines and taking advantage of hidden costs. They are not even printing the Baggage allowances on the tickets, or booking sheets unlike the other major airlines. Poor show Aer Arann.

Flew with Aer Arann from Edinburgh to Galway. Flight booked through travel agent months in advance; Flight time changed to 9 hours later; airline did not (or could not?) notify us. Thankfully, agent did. Flight itself was fine. About 1/2 full, enough legroom, etc.

I travelled business class transatlantic with my usual luggage allowance to Dublin. It was not possible to get a through fare onto Aer Arann to Galway so I had to purchase a separate ticket for this portion of the journey. When I checked in they told me I was over the baggage weight limit and would have to pay 3 Euro per kilo- and were inflexible!! I offered to take some of the checked luggage and carry on- but they said they allowed only one piece of carry on per person - other passengers had up to 3 carry on pieces on a non full flight. The laissez faire attitude of the check in and customer service agents was very annoying, they are all just doing their jobs and if there is a complaint they have cards with the relevant address. I had heard that this was the trend recently in Ireland- especially with Ryanair and now it seems with Aer Arann. For a returning Irish immigrant it is painful to see how these companies are operating. These airlines need to accommodate the international traveller either by offering through fares or acceptable rules and regulations. the excess luggage tariff will not make an airline or break my bank but will in future force me to make alternative arrangements!
