Good Points: Ease of use.
Bad Points: After using the printer for minimal home use the printer stopped working: my computer couldn't communicate to it. I called Lexmark tech support, who took me through many fixes but nothing worked. A few days later I was in Sam's Club where I purchased the printer and a gentleman was returning the same printer, I asked what problems was he having he indicated it couldn't communicate with his pc and no one knew how to fix it and he had it for just a year.
General comments: It was a great value when it was working but a year of use shouldn't result in it being unusable.

Not a good product... Made poorly.. printing quality was awful. Fax didn't work 1/2 of the time. Drank ink like water... Poor investment on my part, but will not happen again. No more Lexmark products for me.

I purchased a Lexmark X6170 from staples and it cost me the $199 for the machine itself. I got the 2 yrs for free using a code that staples provided then they added tax and everything so it becomes a total of $217.95. Anyway when I received the unit it made a loud noise it should not have made a loud noise. I tested in different stores and 10 machines ONLY 1 worked and made no loud noise. This is ridiculous. Then I made an exchange and called staples and when I received the unit guess what? ...

This Lexmark X6170 multifunction printer is everything and more than the Officejet PSC 2210 that I previously purchased. It is user friendly and the speed and quality of this device is superb.
The best value for the money.

Origionally bought an HP5510, but soon discovered that the scan bar was crooked so all the copies were crooked. Returned it and picked up the Lexmark X6170 Multifunction Printer and I am glad that I did. It is as good in every respect as the HP. Quality of product, quality of print, color, etc... and goes a step further to offer a 33600 modem also the hindge on the cover lifts up so you can put a magazine or a small book in there for scanning or coppying. Also is easier to use in that there a ...
