Good Points: Faroudja DCDi technology Denon reliability None of the problems that earlier players had with Chroma errors and color flickering.
Bad Points: No backlit remote.
General comments: This player has played everything I have thrown at it with hardly a wimper. I have a NetFlix account and it is truly amazing that any of the DVD's play at all, judging by the scratched in them.
I actually have the 910 which is supposed to have all the bugs worked out of the 900.
The digital outputs via fiber optic for sound is a nice feature and the component output is beautiful.
My only complaint is the remote. It is a little slow to respond and it is not backlit, making it almost useless.

This Denon DVD 900 is an excellent DVD player for under £200 (if you can still find one). Progressive scan, 2MB buffer, high quality build. It looks great, is easy to use and has the Denon badge on it.
