    Do NOT buy they will put you into an endless loop of paperwork and statements then when all his is complete, stop responding o your emails!

    I was seriously hurt, I was in hospital and they did nothing!

    I am currently claim through the Insurance ombandsman!

    This is in regard to my experience regarding airport parking which I booked through Essential Travel. I'm new to online booking but I can honestly say, the procedure was very simple and easy to follow. I was met at Gatwick airport by a courteous professional person who gave me clear instructions on what to do upon my return and then took my car away.     First time we had used Essential Travel, for a 1 night stay and 4 days parking at Gatwick. When we arrived we found that I had booked the wrong date and were 1 day early. The receptionist phoned Essential Travel to see if the booking could be changed (I was expecting to have to pay re-arrangement fees - at least). Essential Travel agreed to change the boking for free within 5 minutes. Thanks Essential Travel for a hastle free start to our weekend break.

    To cut a long story short. I had an incident where my boss was catching a flight, he booked a meet and greet at the airport (someone should have been there to park his car but weren't) he followed all the instructions that was asked of him by Essential but the mistake was made by essential travel.     Silver parking at Bristol Airport with Essential Travel Insurance.
    We have used this service on a number of occasions and have found it excellent.
    Booking is very easy with email returned straight away to confirm booking with reference number for you to print out. When I did have a problem they sorted it out straight away for me next day.
    Checking in is very quick and efficient.
    Bus service is very frequent with very friendly helpful drivers.

    To be honest, I had no problems at all with my Essential Travel Insurance policy. I think the other negative reviewers are getting mixed up with the claims department and the company issuing the insurance - which are two different things. My policy was cheap and gave me cover for medical conditions which other companies wouldn't insure. I only had to speak to essential travel once and did have to wait a couple of minutes on the phone, but certainly no longer than anywhere else I called about my ...

    Essential Travel Insurance Customer service very poor and unhelpful. Following a cancelled Ryanair flight from France (due to fog) in October 2008, and no flight to the UK being available that day, we ended up driving to Carcassonne and staying overnight, to get a flight from there to East Midland the next day.

    I would not use or recommend this company to anyone. I was given unclear information by phone, and as a result bought a policy that did not cover what I needed. Luckily I was able to remember the time of my call so the company was able to check the recording and had to agree that I had not been informed correctly, so I was able to get a full refund. However I was not happy with the customer service I received. I was easily able to find a better deal that covered what I wanted elsewhere.

    I took out Essential travel insurance by following an online link from my building society.
    Unfortunately I had to cancel our family holiday in July 2007 on our departure date. This was because my father (who was not travelling) contracted a hospital borne virus several days prior to this date following minor day surgery.
    He became seriously ill and was re-admitted to hospital.

    The Essential Travel was the easiest travel insurance website that I found. It was cheap and provided good cover. You can buy online or by telephone.
