Very disappointed with these pans. Bought just before Christmas last year but wish I'd seen these reviews before I bought them. Although the non-stick coating is fine (so far), the pans have discoloured badly on the outside. Never mind 10 months old they look 10 years old. Can't believe Jamie Oliver is still putting his name to these pans. Complained to Tefal direct and was told that whilst they say they are "dishwasher safe" apparently they are not "dishwasher proof" - clever word play!!... (read more)

I bought a Jamie Olive Tefal wok type of pan. Initially it was a good pan. Good and easy to use. The pan was used frequently sometimes 2-4 x a month. The coating has all bubbled up and broken, and is now unusuable. I did contact the Jamie Oliver site and although a reply stated they were busy, they never contacted me again. I am very disappointed with this item and would not recommend or buy another Jamie Oliver product. (read more)

Perfect size shape and function. However, after 2 years (not heavy) use, having never been put in the dishwasher, or scoured, the tefal coating is peeling off. So much so that it cannot be used as it is now a health hazard. Truly disappointed. Cost very definitely not justified. (read more)

Having got this kit I must say the we are very please with it, the non stick pan are beautiful to see, great to handle and you can really see that they are top quality. We also bough the three piece stainless steel pan set which was just under £50 and I must say that the quality is amazing, Tefal have always been the best in this and this time are just as good. I bought a set of Hot stuff pans about 6 months ago. Why Jamie Oliver would put his name to this item is beyond belief. The lids and handles of these pans are so dangerous because they get so hot. The handle gets too hot for you to be able to take the lid off. The pans were quite expensive so why after only 6 months do they look old and tatty. Come on Jamie you're a great chef so why put your name to something that is dangerous and not fit for perpose. (read more)

AUSTRALIAN LAW. Without proof of purchase, receipt or visa transaction - GUARANTEE OF THE NON STICK COATING does NOT EXIST. THEY FIND THE LOOPHOLE IN THE LEGISLATION to their benefit in negating any responsibility of the Lifetime Guarantee on the non stick surface. Instead of observing good Marketing Principles, they hide behind the 'proof of purchase legislation'. I, on the other hand, have a frying pan, with no proof of purchase: I personally feel as though I am being accused of... (read more)

Like every single other review on her for Jamie Oliver pans, I too am pretty disgusted at the state they are in after just a couple of years. The anodised coating looks like I have been at it with an angle grinder and the non stick coating is coming off every one of them. I have never used anything but wooden utensils and never put them in a dishwasher. Every time I use them now I get black bits in the food, and afterwards I have to soak them for ages to get the food off the bare metal... (read more)

I bought these pans when I moved into my new house 6years ago. Within 6 months the lining of the pan had started to peel and black bits were in my food every time I used them. I never use metal equipment on my pans, only silicone or plastic and I cared for them as I was instructed. What do I do with them now??? A complete waste of money, they weren't cheap, and I have had to replace all of them. The royal Worcester plates are showing sighns of black patches coming through them too........ (read more)

Jamie Oliver pans are a waste of money. I had my first pans for 1 year when 2 started to blister and peel, and the outside was scratched from the gas hotplate. I returned them to Tefal personally where they were grudgingly replaced after I endured a lecture about how to care for them including never to heat an empty pan which is ridiculous for a frypan. I have cared for these ones like my best china teatowels layered between themn to avoind scratching, wettex in bottom of sink when... (read more)

I loved my 2 JM pans when I bought them 3 years ago and have been meticulous in looking after them. I have already had one replaced but even that now looks terrible, the red spot doesn't colour up properly any more and the surface is degrading. They have a lifetime guarantee but certainly won't last another 5 years! Trying to get them replaced again seems impossible asthe agents don't want to know you and put up all sorts of excuses. I WOULD NEVER BUY JAMIE OLIVER NON STICK AGAIN. (read more)

I am a chef of 44 years experience and have used many different pans.I think a lot of Jamie and decided to buy his pro pans rather than the cheaper tefal pans. oh! what a big mistake. We bought the small and large frying pan and after the very first time of using, the small stuck badly. I spent £150 on a set of these pans in a sale a few years ago. Within a couple of years the small pan lining started to blister and break away. I have never used metal utensils in them and never put them in the dishwasher. Now all saucepans are the same and the small one is going rusty where scored. I don't use it anymore. We thought we were buying a quality item, expensive yes ! I remember taking it fromk the box and cooking on it was great. Non stick, cleaned easily but the more you use it the cra p p e r it gets. This is a consistent issue as Tefal replaced our first one. We use it very often and consistently so therefore the duration has been the same. 12 months. I bought this set and have been nothing but disappointed. I keep trying to convince myself they are okay and maybe it's me not treating them correctly, but sadly, that's not the case. Rubbish! Got a set of these for a wedding present exactly 2 years ago, unstable, don't stack without falling over and now two years on are all but useless for cooking as well. They are supposed to be dishwasher safe but that's a joke, if you read the small print this is only if you basically wrap them in plastic before putting them in the dishwasher and don't scratch the coating at all, difficult with a normal gas hob. All the anodised coating had come off leaving the pans looking knackered... (read more)

Had a 30cm pan which slowly lost its non-stick abilities to the point it flaked off over 24 months. I claimed via Tefal who process claims through WERL. Neither Tefal or WERL put you through for 10 minutes and it has taken me 8 months and 10 calls to get the replacement (which has still to arrive) - the effort and cost in calls would have cost me twice as much but I continued out of principle.
So - average product and worthless guarantee.

This is a review of the Jamie Oliver line of Frying Pans by Tefal.
Given that I won my first prize as a cook aged 8 in a National final, I have always felt a bond between myself and Jamie Oliver, who also started young.
Now much older and and experienced cook and Engineer among my talents to boot, I still share my liking for Jamie's recipes.
Unfortunately, this does not go for the cookware he puts his name to, and I found out after shedding the packaging, having bought online - buying... (read more)

I bought a saucepan set and extra frypan. This product is overpriced and poor quality. Pots are unbalanced when empty, one lid handle came off, teflon coating has peeled off in places. I always followed instructions and never put it in the dishwasher, never used metal utensils, but it still lasted less than 2 years - very poor for the price. Would never buy again and wouldn't recommend to anybody. (read more)

I own the SS/Copper JO Professional Series set. I did not even consider acquiring non-stick given what I have seen in the past regarding the shortcomings of the evangelistic sales pitches around technical improvements to the coating. Why waste the money -- go with what is tried and true. Uncoated all the way! Beautiful stuff. 5 stars for SS/Copper-Heart. (read more)

I purchased a Jamie Oliver Tefal fry pan at The Bay about 14 months ago. Just after purchasing it, I noticed that the grommets used to hold the handle to the pan did not lie flat. I didn't think it would effect the performance of the pan, so decided to just live with it. Now, the non-stick coating is peeling off in beneath the grommet which is at an angle. I can't use the pan in this shape. Do I have to just toss it and chose Allclad from here on? (read more)

The 30cm JO Tefal frying pan has been a huge disappontment. Thought we were investing in quality cookware but after about 14 months it is now useless - can hardly see the red spot in the centre as interior is so blackened. Food smokes and burns in this pan. Also, it is so heavy, hubby has to lift and tilt it for me when it is hot. Like so many others -wish I'd read the reviews! JO needs to reconsider the products he endorses. (read more)

I wish I had read reviews on the JO anodised saucepans before buying them. After 12 months they were ruined so Tefal replaced them.. after 18 months they are worse and Tefal are now saying that they only had a 12 month guarentee. Does anyone out there still have the paperwork that came with them as I thought that they had a much longer guarentee than that. Total rubbish. All the anodised outside has come off and they are now flaking on the inside. I am waiting for a free replacement. Bought the whole set of Anodised pots / pans for my hubbie as he loves cooking. Needless to say, although the cookware are not that old and do not get used everyday, they look old and scratched. And we used silicone utensil to ensure they would not scrathc?? Also never ever drop the glas lid. Dropped one, it shattered and it has taken over two months to try and get it replaced, and still no joy.

Bought for £200 from Debenhams and within twelve months the outside plating has eroded and the non stick coating is coming off the inside. Bought the set of Tefal Professional Jamie Oliver Saucepans on the basis of the advertised quality and longevity, and on the assumption that professional meant high quality and capable of daily use, and because Jamie has a positive reputation and wouldn't want his name on a duff product.
