Perfect size shape and function. However, after 2 years (not heavy) use, having never been put in the dishwasher, or scoured, the tefal coating is peeling off. So much so that it cannot be used as it is now a health hazard. Truly disappointed. Cost very definitely not justified. (read more)

Having got this kit I must say the we are very please with it, the non stick pan are beautiful to see, great to handle and you can really see that they are top quality. We also bough the three piece stainless steel pan set which was just under £50 and I must say that the quality is amazing, Tefal have always been the best in this and this time are just as good. I bought a set of Hot stuff pans about 6 months ago. Why Jamie Oliver would put his name to this item is beyond belief. The lids and handles of these pans are so dangerous because they get so hot. The handle gets too hot for you to be able to take the lid off. The pans were quite expensive so why after only 6 months do they look old and tatty. Come on Jamie you're a great chef so why put your name to something that is dangerous and not fit for perpose. (read more)

AUSTRALIAN LAW. Without proof of purchase, receipt or visa transaction - GUARANTEE OF THE NON STICK COATING does NOT EXIST. THEY FIND THE LOOPHOLE IN THE LEGISLATION to their benefit in negating any responsibility of the Lifetime Guarantee on the non stick surface. Instead of observing good Marketing Principles, they hide behind the 'proof of purchase legislation'. I, on the other hand, have a frying pan, with no proof of purchase: I personally feel as though I am being accused of... (read more)

Like every single other review on her for Jamie Oliver pans, I too am pretty disgusted at the state they are in after just a couple of years. The anodised coating looks like I have been at it with an angle grinder and the non stick coating is coming off every one of them. I have never used anything but wooden utensils and never put them in a dishwasher. Every time I use them now I get black bits in the food, and afterwards I have to soak them for ages to get the food off the bare metal... (read more)

I bought these pans when I moved into my new house 6years ago. Within 6 months the lining of the pan had started to peel and black bits were in my food every time I used them. I never use metal equipment on my pans, only silicone or plastic and I cared for them as I was instructed. What do I do with them now??? A complete waste of money, they weren't cheap, and I have had to replace all of them. The royal Worcester plates are showing sighns of black patches coming through them too........ (read more)

Jamie Oliver pans are a waste of money. I had my first pans for 1 year when 2 started to blister and peel, and the outside was scratched from the gas hotplate. I returned them to Tefal personally where they were grudgingly replaced after I endured a lecture about how to care for them including never to heat an empty pan which is ridiculous for a frypan. I have cared for these ones like my best china teatowels layered between themn to avoind scratching, wettex in bottom of sink when... (read more)

I loved my 2 JM pans when I bought them 3 years ago and have been meticulous in looking after them. I have already had one replaced but even that now looks terrible, the red spot doesn't colour up properly any more and the surface is degrading. They have a lifetime guarantee but certainly won't last another 5 years! Trying to get them replaced again seems impossible asthe agents don't want to know you and put up all sorts of excuses. I spent £150 on a set of these pans in a sale a few years ago. Within a couple of years the small pan lining started to blister and break away. Rubbish! Got a set of these for a wedding present exactly 2 years ago, unstable, don't stack without falling over and now two years on are all but useless for cooking as well. They are supposed to be dishwasher safe but that's a joke, if you read the small print this is only if you basically wrap them in plastic before putting them in the dishwasher and don't scratch the coating at all, difficult with a normal gas hob. Had a 30cm pan which slowly lost its non-stick abilities to the point it flaked off over 24 months. I claimed via Tefal who process claims through WERL. Neither Tefal or WERL put you through for 10 minutes and it has taken me 8 months and 10 calls to get the replacement (which has still to arrive) - the effort and cost in calls would have cost me twice as much but I continued out of principle.
So - average product and worthless guarantee.

This is a review of the Jamie Oliver line of Frying Pans by Tefal.
Given that I won my first prize as a cook aged 8 in a National final, I have always felt a bond between myself and Jamie Oliver, who also started young.
Now much older and and experienced cook and Engineer among my talents to boot, I still share my liking for Jamie's recipes.
Unfortunately, this does not go for the cookware he puts his name to, and I found out after shedding the packaging, having bought online - buying...

I bought a saucepan set and extra frypan. This product is overpriced and poor quality. Pots are unbalanced when empty, one lid handle came off, teflon coating has peeled off in places. I always followed instructions and never put it in the dishwasher, never used metal utensils, but it still lasted less than 2 years - very poor for the price. Would never buy again and wouldn't recommend to anybody. (read more)

I did not even consider acquiring non-stick given what I have seen in the past regarding the shortcomings of the evangelistic sales pitches around technical improvements to the coating. I purchased a Jamie Oliver Tefal fry pan at The Bay about 14 months ago. Just after purchasing it, I noticed that the grommets used to hold the handle to the pan did not lie flat. I didn't think it would effect the performance of the pan, so decided to just live with it. Now, the non-stick coating is peeling off in beneath the grommet which is at an angle. I can't use the pan in this shape. Do I have to just toss it and chose Allclad from here on? (read more)

The 30cm JO Tefal frying pan has been a huge disappontment. Thought we were investing in quality cookware but after about 14 months it is now useless - can hardly see the red spot in the centre as interior is so blackened. Food smokes and burns in this pan. Also, it is so heavy, hubby has to lift and tilt it for me when it is hot. Like so many others -wish I'd read the reviews! JO needs to reconsider the products he endorses. (read more)

I wish I had read reviews on the JO anodised saucepans before buying them. After 12 months they were ruined so Tefal replaced them.. after 18 months they are worse and Tefal are now saying that they only had a 12 month guarentee. The handles are good for gripping, but my son is so useless that he has a tendency to drop them, i think they are quite good for resistance against cleaning.

1) Cooks evenly.
2) Heats very hot, very fast, empty for searing.
3) The handle is brilliantly ergonomic, a true pleasure for a female hand, It lifts like a light pan cooks like a very heavy pan.

Entirely agree. The handles on the lids are dangerous and can cause serious burns. Most other modern cookware have heat resistant handles or they are well insulated from the hot lid itself. These ones are not. Very very disappointed with this aspect of the saucepan we have just bought.
