Got mine in a 22 250
Pros
Great gun,
Very light,

The only thing I had a problem with is the bolt.

Love the weight , the trigger and the caliber of the Savage 11F. The mod. 11fns 7mm-08 is an exellent shooter. I get 1.25 -1.50 in. 5 shot groups with hand loads at 100 yrds. Love the accu- trigger. Wish it had the Accu - stock. (read more)

The Savage 11F is lightweight, but the 11 F 308 cal. is not as accurate as I would like - 1.5 inches at 100 yards, using 3x9 x40 Leupole scope, which is not my measure of a good shooter.
I have tried many hand loads and factory ammo, and I was never happy with the gun's performance.

Savage 11F - Accurate gun - the Accutrigger is the best factory rifle trigger I have ever used, bar none. The rifle is a reasonable light weight and has decent composite stock. Shows good accuracy with NATO 7.62 147 gr. Rear sight is a chinchy plastic arrangement, but it works. The light weight results in a hefty kick, but what the heck - I bought it for the weight and accuracy. (read more)

The Savage model 11F is a very accurate centerfire, bolt-action rifle. If you want a hunting rifle, that can reach way out there, the 11F is what you've been looking for.
If you want the ultimate deer rifle, this is it.
Rifle comes with swivel studs, and adjustable sights which are very good. The 11F is one of the most accurate open-sights rifle. Mounting a scope on this rifle will exceed any true hunter's excpectations in terms of consistant, reliable accuracy.
Weight of the 11F is around...

Well, I like the black stock on the Savage 11F. It's nice. It won't get all banged up in the woods. It's a good shooting rifle. My savage 111F in a 270 win will hold a 3/4 inch 3 shot group at 200 yards. I have killed 11 deer with it. I have had it since I was 10 years old. I killed my 8 point and my 9 point with it. I killed a doe at 450 yards this year. Now I am 16 years old and I have 8 of my own guns. I got a Browning 22 lr, savage 270, savage 223, savage 17cal, savage 300 wsm, savage 30-06, and a remington shotgun.
