Good Points: Easy to fit, good quality,very good price (£99.00 retail box) good software bundle easy to use for newbies!
Bad Points: slightly slower than the new breed a bit noisy
General comments: The Sony DRU-510AK is the first and hopefully the last DVD writer I will buy! spent a lot of time studying the www & magazines and wanted a writer that will cover all + & - etc. this so far as done all that is required of a complete novice I use pinnacle Studio 8 and MyDVD have made several family DVD's and Backupped my computer all worked well the sony also will read discs that my bundled CDRW has troublewith so it has also saved me much grief!!
