I have always bought Batchelors Mushy Peas, usually great quality. However tonight, our dinner was accompanied by watery Pea Soup, absolutely disgusting. Why on earth would you change the recipe to the extent of destroying one of our favourites. I hope you reverse this or I will not purchase again.

Theses peas might aswell be a soup absolutely shocking at the state of them I wanted mushy peas not pea soup no good with my fish as it was a puddle on my plate will never buy theses peas again absolutely disgusting, you really need to sort this out as we pay money for mushy peas not green water coz that’s what it was can someone explain what’s going on with them .

Batchelors have clearly changed the recipe of their beloved tinned mushy peas. They're most definitely not mushy anymore and now seem to resemble pea soup. Awful

Lamenting that no one sells pie-&-peas anymore. Saw these at Woolies & had to try. Perfect pie floater. Soft peas in a thick pea-sauce. Great taste (even without Malt Vinegar).

Unfortunately these are NOT "Batchelors Original Mushy Peas"... I live 1 mile from the plant where they were originally processed in Worksop and I know the recipe! My best friend who has sadly passed away, will now be spinning in his grave as he used to be the quality laboratory manager! The can I opened and reheated today were canned by a company in Spalding and I am considering challenging their "Original" claim and also the ingredient quantities as there is far too much water and not enough peas, also the quality of the peas is poor to say the least. The can I used was puchased from Netto (who are not to blame) about three weeks ago and were well in date. I have had to mark these up as 1 star as a minus is not available to me.

They're ace
Only had them about two million times so haven't really had the chance to find a bad point but will continue to try and let you know if I do.
Seriously, they make fish and chips, and pie and chips the great British food it is!

Was nice until a few months back
We brought them regularly until about 2 months ago, since then every week we but them there always watery and wont mush together at all.

Batchelors Mushy Original Peas. They used to be great. Batchelors original mushy peas have sadly altered and not for the better. Recent tins from tesco have contained peas split in half and a very watery juice. They are certainly NOT mushy peas as they used to be. I might try the fish shop ones to see if they are different.

Supermarket's own brands are no match for the mighty Batchelor! You absolutely cannot go wrong with a tin of Batchelors mushy peas, alongside your favored battered fish and a good helping of CHIPPIES!
