Nestle Caramac used to be my absolute favorite "chocolate" bar ever! The texture was just like a creamy chocolate and I used to buy them five or more at a time! They were like a bit of heaven. Now, however, the consistency is like wax and is very grainy. So disappointing! I would love the manufacturers to go back to making them the way they were made back in the 60's!!!!!!

From what I remember, this chocolate bar was very creamy and had almost a caramilk flavor without the goo. It was delicious. I wonder why you are no longer producing this bar. I haven't seen it on a shelf 40 years. I think it would do very well in todays market.

I have been eating Caramacs for a long time due to my chocolate allergy and I still find them a scrummy as the day I first tried them.

    The Kissian Theory- Nestle Caramac
Masters of the confectionary have long argued the origin of the Caramac. Kiss ventures the argument that it is in fact made of honey, and not as previosly thought some kind of dairy, perhaps chocolate. The name, a caramel-chocolate hybrid, is the main allure of the product, and a sense of adventure is needed when considering a purchase of Caramac. No one can put an excact date on how old Caramac is, but it may have been around since the turn of the 20th Cen ...
