Good Points: All the above. Served me well for 6 years.

Bad Points: Build quality: bear in mind it is not a metal camera and a drawback is that the battery compartment door will often suffer broken lugs disabling retention of the batteries! A temporary solution is to use the tripod bush with the appropriate screw with an oversize composite 'washer' to keep the batteries in!

General comments: Shame about the feeble battery compartment lugs on the Fuji MX 1200, otherwise an excellent little camera that first retailed at over £200.

The Fuji MX-1200 digital camera was one of the better ones for its time. Some cameras that have more mega pixels don't have as good pictures. The colors are true and clear with no wrong effects. The MX1200 also has manual settings such as forced flash, white balance, and brightness. It also uses standard AA batteries.

The MX-1200 is a very good and easy to use digital camera. I am especially fond of the thumbwheel control feature. This allows you to setup the camera to your specific needs in a very simple & efficient manner. I usually use the lower resolution for my pics and they have always turned out very well. I currently use a 128MB smart media card and it will hold approximately 999 pics at this resolution. The LCD screen allows you to immediately view and if necessary retake the pic. The control f ...

The Fuji MX-1200 was once one of the most popular digital cameras on the market and is still very popular today, despite its age and the newer improved cameras available. As you would expect from Fujifilm, this camera is extremely well made and stylish in its appearance all round. Operating the camera is very straightforward with Fujifilms novel 'thumb wheel' function selector which lets you easily change into different modes including; photo preview, photo ready, self-timer, delete mode, setup ...

The Fuji MX1200 is a superb digital camera for the price. I cannot fault it. Fuji have done a fantastic job and when I upgrade Fuji will be my first choice replacement. The quality of the lens is excellant giving very sharp images even when blown up.

Purchased camera over a year ago while on holiday. Pictures have been great for the price. Purchased usb card reader (£30 approx) to give rapid downloads without using camera. Also purchased battery (ni-mh)with charger (£15 approx) and the batteries last for ages compared to others used. Great starter camera will buy Fuji again when I upgrade in the future. Buy one today

This is a very low cost digital camera with results, inside and out. The built in flash is great for normal use but also gives you a full manual override facility. it only comes supplied with a 2 Mb smart card & that's a little small, however the camera itself compares well if not better than most in its price range. Unfortunately the transfer is very slow and is a major problem. A USB card reader is very costly but does cut the transfer time down dramatically. to finish with i have not been dis ...

Excellent digital camera for the price. Image quality is impressive as long as the settings are cranked up to the max (1280 res, high quality). At the top setting you get around 50 pics to a 32mb card. This can be adjusted downwards to around 1000 images at the lowest settings (not to be recommended though). Two resolutions available - 640x480 and 1280x960 with 3 quality settings for each (basic, normal, fine). Also 3 sharpness settings available.

Zoom is digital only so a 1280 res image, whe ...

I recently purchased an MX-1200 from Currys for the princely sum of £99:00. At this price it is amazing value for money for anyone who wants to take family snapshots, or send pictures over the net.
The lens is pin sharp, exposures are reliable, and there are just enough features to make using the camera interesting without making it complicated.
Colour reproduction is very good, and the screen is a joy to use, with a digital zoom facility, and very good on-screen information.
    My MX-1200 ...

A great low cost 1.3 M Pixel camera. Fantastic results, both inside and out. Has built in flash, but also full manual override facilities for the `arty` stuff. Only has serial transfer capability, and supplied 2 Mb smart card a little small, but comparing with similar spec cameras there's no contest. If slow transfer becomes a major problem, you can always invest in a USB card reader. Would heartily recommend to anyone looking to get into digital photography, you wont be disappointed!

Until recently, the MX1200 was Fuji's entry-level digital camera, selling through Dixons Group stores in the UK for about £299. It has since dropped to a very attractive £199. The camera is a 1.3 megapixel fellow, delivering 1280x960 resolution images. The colours are good, if a little vivid in places, but the fairly high compression does tend to give a little blooming around high contrast edges. This isn't so bad if you use minimal compression, but with a 2 Mb card, you're not gonna ...

In about 3 months and possibly 25 hours of use I changed the batteries on this camera about 5 times. Luckily they were only AA batteries and nothing too expensive, but still it got old. So I returned the camera for an upgraded MX-600 model which include the rechargable battery. I enjoy the battery life, but the bulkiness of the camera is not so nice. The sleek design of the MX-1200 spoiled me therefore I am currently awaiting the receipt of yet another Fuji digital camera...the MX-1700. This cam ...
