I have had my smeg cooker for 6 years. before I could even use it the heater coil in the fan oven shattered after it had been installed. The rubber around the bottom door fell off. Now the bottom oven heats to hot you can't use it incase it catches fire. Customer services don't answer any letter, emails or call me back. I will never buy smeg again.

Has proved very difficult to repair the Smeg SUK61 main oven electricals. Tends to run hot and burn food. A lot of care needed to cook correctly. I would never buy it again or recommend it.

I have had nothing but trouble from day one with this Smeg SUK61 MFX5 Gas Cooker! Door seals went within a week,, approved engineers turn up with some sort of super glue to fix? Ignition doesn't work properly. Top oven has never heated up properly despite visits from said engineers. Smeg offered little help. They just refer me to the engineers, never again! This cooker cost over £1000 and it is a waste of money. I am using a £200 job in my holiday home and it is more reliable.

I bought this Smeg oven two years ago and all it does now is burn food to a crisp and tend to leave it uncooked in the middle - you may expect that from a cheap microwave but not a '£650.00 oven.... Cooking a roast be it either chicken, lamb or beef is a joke due to the smoke which plumes out of the oven when you open the door to check on its progress. I wouldn't recommend this cooker - or any other Smeg appliance to anyone due to the poor reaction to my complaint, basically they didn't ...

We thought we were buying a top of the range iconic appliance, but it turns out we bought a rather expensive turkey. As yet, only the grill element has given out on our Smeg SUK61 MFX5 gas cooker. The oven is highly temperamental, and in eight years we haven't managed to bake anything to anywhere near the times and temperatures specified in recipes. Also, the stainless steel front has become rusty???

A wine glass accidentally slipped out of my hand and knocked the front of the hob on my almost brand new Smeg cooker. Needless to say the wine glass is still intact, however, there is now a huge dent in the front of my cooker. Am really not happy that the stainless steel used is so thin that such a knock would affect it in this way, surely this area of the cooker is the most prone to knocks and therefore it would be re-inforced. Customer services are not prepared to help in any way and the o ...

Customer services for Smeg promised to resolve the problem with steam from our Smeg SUK61 MFX5 Gas Cooker cooker. They did! They ignored me!

I have a Smeg SUK61 MFX5 . It's the single oven with combined grill. The grill pan slots straight onto the enamel sides unlike other Smegs. I am about to receive the 3rd replacement as the grill pan damages the enamel every time you pull it out. Anyone else out there with same problem? As Smeg say, no one has complained of the same problem.
