I initially bought the Ninka's used it with a old Carver preamp along with majik 2100 amp. I felt it was little harsh until i replaced my preamp with a majik pre. This made a hell of a difference. eventually changed my arcam cd player to majik cd. this further improved the imaging and clarity to newer dimension. i was told linn works well with linn and it sure did make sense after my purchase. later got chakra 4100 with aktiv cards and made them tri-amp aktiv along with majik 2100. wow..... The Linn Ninka speakers are not bad, but to get any sense out of them you have to use them with someting much better than Linns own LK140 (I was thinking of getting rid of them until I hooked them up to a Chakra amplifier in bi-amp mode). With LK140, even in active bi-amp mode they sound 'boomy'. To get a really decent sound I had to throw in a Sizmik sub. jterwise there is no music presense. A good entry-level loudspeaker for somebody who is building a Linn system and is a bit constrained budget-wise to begin with. They don't cost a fortune by any means, but you get to experience the accuracy of the 'Linn sound' provided they are properly installed and hooked-up to a decent system. They can be upgraded with bi-wiring, bi-amping and then fully aktiv as time and budget allows - so they are a good place for a 'Linn virgin' to get their initiation! (read more)

These Linn Ninka Stereo Speakers are brilliant and look so good. Sound is some of the best I have ever heard with a good solid grounding sound and are weighed down by their own sheer weight. Would be advisable to get the granite bas-plinths for even better quality. (read more)
