Good Points: Package feels attractive; product silky and good to use.

Bad Points: Limited range of colours

General comments: Need some foundation-come-powder to take on holiday? You could try the neat 30ml tube of Magic Skin from Astor. Forget what's inside for a moment; this is a sleek little pack just the right shape and size to slip into your luggage. Made of matt plastic, it's not going to break and spread its contents all over your sarong.

But what about the product, I can hear you say. OK, it feels smooth, has a clean pleasant smell and is completely oil free. This means that it will suit all skin types. Because of the lack of oil, the contents are not at all runny. You might say that sometimes it's difficult to get it out of the tube. "I'm a foundation, get me out of here." Just give it that extra squeeze!

Worried about the rays of the sun? This little product has a SPF9, which, I agree, could be higher, but it's a start.

Any downsides to this little wonder? Yes, but only one - it comes in a very limited range of colour. And I mean limited. There are only three different skin shades to choose from. However, if one of these suits you, then you're on to a winner. It's available in Superdrug, some Boots shops, and other chemists. And I've found it on the web, too, at discountcosmeticsuk.com/
