    Good Points: I loved this hotel. The staff are friendly, address you by name. The service was great! The food was fantastic and the extras that were delivered were well thought through and continued to excite us. The accommodation was quiet and private - we had a Lanai room and our friends were next door.


    Bad Points: It is a little expensive.


    General comments: The cleaning of the room was extensive and every day there was fresh fruit and the flowers redone.
    The manage of the hotel greeted the guests on the Thursday night over free cocktails. I know we paid for this in the tarrif, but we have stayed at the Sofitel (next door to this hotel) and found the staff there to be rude and snooty and the service was poor. Room service took too long and the staff at the pool dining area were slow and obtrusive.

    I hope there is some way to have guests return at a discounted tarrif. We would be very keen to do this.

    I stayed at the Luxury Ocean View Villa of The Oberoi, Bali in July 2000. The villa I stayed didn't have a private pool, but it was very close to the beach and swimming pool. The accomodation is traditional Balinese style. The hotel is now about 28 years old, but you don't feel it's very old, and you will find it's very comfortable. (But sometimes you may find a gecko in your villa.) Their garden is big and pretty, and you can hear many birds singing here and there. The dining table is outside ...
