I should have researched FTD on-line before I placed my order. My experience was a total nightmare. I live in Pa. and received news that my childrens Grandmother passed away who lives in Ms. I thought I would just order funeral flowers on-line, pay for them and confirm delivery but my story is far from it. After I ordered the flowers I decided to call to make sure the credit card transaction went through and to make sure as per my on-line instructions the flowers would arrive by end of business day as the funeral would be the next day. Well, I was told the credit card transaction couldn't be confirmed until the FTD florist in the city they were being delivered from would not confirm until the order was accepted by a florist. I called the Funeral Home and they did not receive the flowers but the gentleman told me to call back the next morning. The next morning the Funeral Home confirmed they had not received the flowers. I called FTD and they could confirm NOTHING. The on-line number is just a call center that takes the flower orders. Only 2 hrs. before the funeral service, I googled FTD florists only in the city the flowers would be delivered from. The lady at the first shop said her shop didn't receive the order but she was wonderful and gave me several names of other FTD shops and said call them and check. I proceeded to call and finally tracked down the shop that accepted the order. The man in the shop confirmed the order and the credit card had gone through and flowers were delivered to the church. The night before the funeral service I called the call center numerous times, was refused to speak to a manager, and was told they could do nothing. The day of the funeral service, I was laughed at by the call center person, put on hold until eventually I gave up and hung up. I had to track these flowers myself. I did receive a anonymous call and the female on the other end was laughing and hung up. She never identified herself and the name never showed up on my phone ID. In a earlier call to the call center, they refused to give me their address so I could write a complaint to them. I was told I didn't need to know where they were.
Bottom line........the flowers got to the church even though I thought they were going to the Funeral Home. My credit card transaction went through. But.......all of this was confirmed in the last hour before service was to begin. I will NEVER order on-line again...FTD as far as i'm concerned is bad business. One of the ladies at a floral shop told me the shop only gets a small percentage of the total cost of the order. They don't get paid what you pay on your credit card. I think this is sad...to say the least.
Imagine having a Grandma that died, you try to send flowers from the kids and it's more HELL than you ever thought you would go through.
My suggestion is that if you have to send flowers, call directly to the city of delivery to a Flower Shop and do business from there. I reallydidn't realize until I went through this whole mess that I was dealing with a middleman until I was into it. NEVER, EVER, AGAIN.....

Ordered flowers from ftd.com for same day delivery. Apparently the florists in the area didnt have the flowers needed for the order. I called them when I tracked the order online and it was still showing as 'in progress' and I talked to 3 customer service representatives, none would let me talk to a manager. When I finally called back a 4th time I got a refund and was passed to a manager who said it was their fault and they were sorry and they would send me a coupon. Still waiting for that. Tried sending flowers thru FTD twice, once in 2007 for a b'day and the second time in 2008 feb 14 to my girl.. they f***d up both times.. the flowers were never del;ivered.. there is no one to talk to in their 'customer service department'.. never again!!!- Read psyclops2's review (50 words)

I ordered flowers for my wife's birthday at work and, and they were delivered a day early. I sent an email complaining, and their reply was that they would try to go get the flowers back and give me a refund. So, after they had already messed up my order, their solution would be to go and take back the flowers from my wife, and deliver them again the next day. I ORDERED FLOWERS FOR A RELATIVES FUNERAL, AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD BE THERE ONE HOUR BEFORE THE FUNERAL STARTED. THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY WAY OF PAYING MY RESPECT SINCE I COULDN'T BE THERE. The last (and only) two times I used FTD online florists for flowers/gifts to be sent to my girlfriend, my orders were completely messed up! The first one arrived late by two days, and this last order has not showed up at all. DHL next day service was supposedly used, and I was given a tracking number which showed an estimated date of 5/11. It is now 5/13 (Mother's Day) and nothing! I ordered flowers for my wife for Valentines day. They never arrived, and their customer support is not taking calls, and this has been for the last three days.
I have seen similar comments on a number of sites, in reviews for FTD.com
I hope I can get a full refund. The way they are handling their customers right now, does not look like it.

FTD sent an email offer to order flowers for Mothers Day. I purchased the Iris and Yellow Rose Flower Bouquet for delivery. The charge showed up on my credit card, but the flowers were not sent. I contacted them as to why, but a generic reply was sent stating that the order was cancelled. I replied back saying that I never cancelled and their argument didn't make much sense because they had charged my credit card. I did not receive any reply back from them.
