My dad bought me x-oom movie clone 5! What rubbish it is you can't do anything with it. It says you can copy DVD movies to your iPod you can't do no such thing because it comes up with error all the time. All I can is don't buy it waste of money.

I purchased this program. It came with a link to update to be able to copy DVD movies for personal use. I've only been able to burn to DVD RW media only.
I've been sucessful in copying about 10 DVD Movies in the week I've had it. I have a 7 yr old, and we all know they don't take the best care of movies. Overall, for the $5.50 I spent for it on ebay, was well worth it.

I bought the software at Costco. I was excited about making back-ups of some of the kids movies (they get so scrtached!). I installed the software and I receive a popup saying that because of laws, it actually won't rip. They have my money and I feel I've got nothing!
Therefore I do not recommend X-oom Movie Clone and I hope Costco will give me my money back.

Not worth the money or frustration. Does not get all the scenes, does not work on several models of Laptops, cannot get the on-line update because you get an Access Denied warning.

"Wow" is all I can say to all these negative comments!
I just purchased Movie Clone 4 and decided "what the heck, lets check out any reviews there may be".
So I did... I will NOT be opening this package and will be returning it today! Thank goodness I check things like this before I open them up!

I am actually completely shocked at how many of you are disappointed with the product and I will definitely take your word for it. I think I might go for the 1-2-3 Copy DVD 2008 or one of the Roxio pro ...

I got a free copy through Computer Shopper - glad I didn't spend any money on the program because it's rubbish! Most of the background doesn't seem to load when I open the program, so I can't see any of the labels for the radio buttons! So when I left them on the defaults and went through to copy onto my hard disk, the program crashed and I haven't been able to copy a thing!!
The only thing I do have to say for them is the website that they cannot provide it with the software, but type it into ...

It makes for a good piece of rubbish for a program in my opinion, everything was a negative experience with this CD and DVD burning software, I would not recommend X-oom Movie Clone, I personally found it very difficult to use, and when I could figure things out I still wasn't happy with it.

Terrible. Avoid at all costs. The software doesn't do anything it says it can do. I've tried burning from DVD to DVD, which only turned out half burned DVDs and took forever. The other mode will rip the dvd to a file, but then not burn it. I have a 3 week old DVD writer, and all it turned out was coasters.

X-oom Movie Clone has turned out to be a complete waste of space for me. I cannot convert AVI to DVD as it promises. The programs simply crashes everytime I try. I cannot back up ANY of my DVD's as promised because it's 'Protected Content'. I have not gotten even ONE of the avalible options to work at all. This Software was a complete waste of money. I spent 50 dollars on software that does not do ANY of the things mentioned on the box.

I agree with the other users - I think X-oom Movie Clone is a waste of money. Tech support is terrible and according to the label it states that it will copy DVD movies but it will not. I think this is false advertising and I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Weak support and X-oom Movie Clone does not work for 90% of the things you buy this software for.Only copies 40%, then hangs. They when you try to update your get an Access denied error. Support takes two weeks and two reminders, then it is a generic "errors are caused by copy protection", that is poor service and was NOT the problem.

I thought the negative reviews about X-oom Movie Clone were because people were trying to clone copies burnt with black-listed burning programs. Now I know that this product is not fit for the purpose.

I found this software extremely frustrating. I can't comment on what it's like for copying disc to disc as I only used it to copy to the hard drive and then convert to xvid so that I could save onto my zen vision-m. At first look the controls seem straight forward but when i tried changing quality settings etc i ran into loads of problems. The help manual is useless and the online tutorial does not seem to exist. I managed to copy a few dvds but three of them had awful picture quality and i cou ...

I have a Pentium 4, lots of GB space, and it will not even save to a HD file. X-oom Movie Clone goes through the motions of saving, you can see the preview playing, but when you try to open the file you saved it to...there's nothing there, it's empty!

X-oom Movie Clone is an excellent piece of software for backing up your original DVDs (to take on holidays or for storage purposes for example). Due to CSS anti-piracy restrictions, you must use an add on piece of software (mcldecrypt.exe) if you want to back up commercially available DVDs. Please note that to copy commercially available DVDs other than to back up a DVD you already own for your own use is an offence, but for backups using the add-on, it's second to none.

The X-oom Movie Clone CD & DVD burning software is the pits. It even sees DVD's I have recorded on my DVD recorder as "copyright protected" and refuses to touch the content. Add lousy unresponsive support, and you have nothing more than a complete waste of money.

I've tried to do THREE films from X-oom Movie Clone all of which failed, now I read these reviews and know why. It says at the end no video files available and won't let you burn the film. What a disappointment!I would not waste the money on buying this!

There is a disclaimer inside the X-oom Movie Clone box which informs you that in order to comply with legislation they have prevented the product from backing up protected DVD's ie every DVD on the market. There is a patch available on the net which sorts this out however when you finally manage to burn a DVD it will not play on most DVD players including the PC on which it was created!! I have so far tried 12 players and only 2 out of these work. I am now starting the process of getting my mone ...
