You are better off with other antivirus softwares, my buddy recommended a Norton Antivirus 2004, frankly it was quite good but bad things topped the good things it can do.
It eats up your system's resources making your PC soo Sloww, try using free AVG or Avast and buy the full version if you like. Other thing I don't like about it is the setup of internet security and firewall. Sometimes I could not connect to a wifi network because of it.

I had Norton AntiVirus 2004 for a year and, when I came to renew, I noticed they had my old (postal) address. I tried to change it but kept getting told the postcode was invalid (and no, it's not a new-build house). 16 times I logged support calls querying this. 16 times I was either ignored or given an incomprehensible response. Replies to these responses were always ignored; hence I had to open a new support call every time.
Yes, I know it's a trivial issue but if they're this appalling at dea ...

I had NAV 2004 on my machine, when the licence expired I paid for another year's subscription, but the licence key would not work. After going round and round in circles on the Norton website, in my opinion one of the worst designed websites, you'll ever find, I finally managed to find contact details. I found the site seems designed to make talking to a human as difficult as possible. When I did call the support centre, they told me that they had stopped supporting the product, and to get suppor ...

I recently took over the management of a small number of PCs in a publishing company. They had Norton AntiVirus 2004 installed. It was an ugly nightmare. Hard to install, a pain to uninstall and not a reliable trapper of viruses.
I replaced it with Avast pro edition, affordable, straightforward to install and unobtrusive in operation.

Norton AntiVirus 2004 I beleive is extremely over-priced for what it is. I am quite annoyed that it has persistently FAILED to detect Trojans, Spyware & other menaces, whereas Microsoft's FREE software such as their Anti-spyware & Windows Defender detected & removed these threats immediately.

I have stopped using Norton AntiVirus 2004, all the virus writers target it, by installing it I think you are asking to get a virus. It lets lots of things through is expensive and there are better things out there, I used to use MCAfee, and have recently switched to Shield. Im not going to recommend what is the best because there are hundreds of forums and test sites out there, read the reviews and make your own decision for your needs, but I have not seen Norton do well in an objective test f ...

I just bought a new computer and was affected by a Trojan Virus, and the whole PC fan jammed and wasn't working. Then I uninstalled Norton anti virus and installed some new anti virus software supplied by Telewest Broadband, and it was working superbly. It removed the Trojan, and it also blocks all spam with perfect firewall service.

Norton AntiVirus 2004: My laptop crashed while attempting to install software. I have reasonable knowledge of Windows XP but I was unable to complete the installation and Nortons own web based help service is of little use. The software is difficult to uninstall and some specialist knowledge is required. Telephone help is only available on a premium rate line. At least they gave me a full refund when I returned the product.

I have been using the Norton AntiVirus 2004 free trial with my Vaio laptop & am generally happy with it but am doing research anyway - hence, I'm here now doing this.

Norton AntiVirus 2004 works fairly well, but it still let dialers through. (See bad points)
