Good Points: Good software
Bad Points: Expensive
General comments: I need a little help here. MS is very vague on the release date of the next Office. I found this site http://www.office2007releasedate.com it has a countdown to the release date of Office 2007. Is this correct? I can't wait for
this release.
Is this site telling the truth?
THANKS

This is the full standard edition of Microsoft Office at a fraction of the cost.
You get Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook together with a host of updates and as much online help as you need.
Currently, if you buy this package, you get a huge discount on Microsoft Access as well.
Essential kit for IT students at a reasonable price.

Office XP Standard for Students and Teachers offers exactly the same functionality in the programs that it has as the other editions. However, it does not have Access, which can be useful at times. A point to consider is that you can get OpenOffice 2.0 (free open source software) for free from openoffice.org. It is fully compatible with Microsoft Office and is a good product, Although possibly not as good as Office.
