Good Points: Very detailed. Search function is very good. Finding all additional services (airports, stations, fuel...) is just one click. Driving times very realistic.
Bad Points: More difficult to use than online route planners. Maps are good but need time to load. No indication of toll charges on highways. Expensive.
General comments: The setup of Route 66 Professional Western Europe 2004 for Mac (OS 10.3) is really very easy. After doing this, surf to the website of route 66 for an update. Looking for a place is very easy due to an very detailed search. The maps are very good, but the zooming takes some time (even with 768 Mb of ram). Shame that distances on foot or bike are NOT calculated. Toll costs are not calculated either. This could be solved by a software update perhaps.
First bought the normal Route 66 for Europe but the maps were not good. Next day I've traded it in for the very useful Professional Route 66 version.
Still perfectible but at this moment the best Routeplanner you can get for Mac Power- or Ibooks.
