I have used the previous versions of this product with no problems. Got the latest update to version 5 and nothing but problems with it. Every time I create a graphic using their pre arranges graphic like flame or clouds, the program stops responding and shuts down. Even when I tried to simply remove a background using the eraser, the program shut down. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it 3 times. I am using windows 7. Never got any help with their customer support. (read more)

It can't clone. It can't blend. Cut and paste is very poor. Not as good as the beginners Microsoft Digital Suite 2006 which can do all of these and more than Photo Explosion Deluxe. A dead loss - wish I hadn't bought it. (read more)

I've been Photo Explosio, version, 3, 2,1 and before when it was Ulead, for the last 5 years. I was running it on XP. When we got Windows 7, it wouldn't run anymore. They came out with an "upgrade". Holy cow, it's a whole new program. The extentions are different and there are a ton of features. I've been struggling with how to paint to remove a part of a photo. This a.m. I pulled out the manual. I was in the wrong program! There's Photo explosion project studio and that's what I had been... (read more)

This software is completely different from the earlier version 2.0. It is very difficult to use and the documentation is of little help. I would not buy this product or recommend this product again. (read more)

I've used Photoexplosion for over 3 years. I find it easy to use and capable of doing many edits and corrections to my photography. I've used it for special effects, cloning background, removing shadows, resizing and cropping. It does use a lot of cpu and I find it is slow. Occasionally with large files it will freeze and I have to reboot. I've never used any other software so I don't have a lot to compare with. (read more)

I wish I'd never bought this product. I had to spend months trying to get my photos back in order and lost a great many of them. The company that produces it cared nothing about my loss. (read more)

Photo Explosion Deluxe takes up a lot of memory and space on my laptops, need to keep that in mind, not a bad point. Just love to create and be artistic and this program is the most wonderful one I have tried so far. Thanks (read more)

Photo explosion is easy to use and has some great special effects and graphics. What prevents me from recommending it is when I ran my spyware checker it noted what it described as dangerous spareware and potential browser hijacker called 'Newtonknows' The only way to remove this is via the add/remove programme which means you have to keep reoading everytime you want to use it..... this spoils an otherwise great piece of software and reflects in my marking (read more)

I agree! I used Printmaster previously. Wish I had again. Photo Explosion Deluxe Version 5 is more than I can figure out, & I used to think I was relatively intelligent. (Maybe not.) No way can I send photos, that I have downloaded, to a removable file or anywhere else. Except that I have, indeed, managed to duplicate them into other files & now have many many duplicates. Will never again buy this program.
