What can I say? used a very old Mavis Beacon until a house move broke my pride and joy. The edges of the text on this looked terrible, ok for a beginner but on the whole not versatile enough for the individuals needs and that is what all typing tutorials should have in common bought this and within a few hours am looking for a replacement. A hope the others out there have something for me because this ain't it. Therefore I do not recommend Teaching-you Touch Typing. (read more)

Very good cd if it worked right. In the middle of my tutorial a error popped up on the screen and closed the application straight away leaving my work unsaved. Also I installed it on a vista laptop to find that it will not save the work completed. Had anyone this problem? (read more)

Maybe it isn't quite compatible with Vista - there might be software patches/downloads from the "Teaching You" website that will resolve this.

Teaching-you Touch Typing is an interactive cd-rom that enables you to learn the basics of touch typing from your own home. I found the typing exercises were aimed at people with no typing experience whatsoever and found it confusing to go back to basics.

However there is an option to test your level of skill and go to the appropriate exercises for that level which was useful.

The only thing I found disconcerting was the standard response to exercise test results. Some people may find... (read more)
