I love indys. They are the best truck i've ever had, they turn well, grind well and are very durable! I got mine very cheap from an online store and the bushings are the yellow medium ones and they are great! Overall i think indys are the best and easily the most durable truck out there except for some Theeve models, which have built in titanium for durability, but these will most likely cost you a lot more... Although they are a bit weighty this doesn't matter too much when you come to more... (read more)

I've skated indy's for the last 16 years. I can't say I've broken any, but I do grind them away. I skate ramp, bowls and do lots of grinds. I'm a bit old to be doing all the new flips although I did when I was younger. The new trucks have a weird way of turning, first you lean on them a little and then a little more (loose ish trucks) and they don't turn with your body weight. The with a bit more weight the fly around the corner way to quick. Had my worst slam in 28 years of skating... (read more)

The best new indies are stage 7s stage nine base plates break easily stage 8 hangers bend easily and sometimes break if I were to buy new school indies again I would get stage 7s. Stage 6s are the best old school indy I would buy a second hand set of stage 6 149s or 159s as you can occassoinaly still get second hand indies. Stage 6s are very strong but very heavy but fine for me as I am an old school and do not do flip tricks so do not need a low truck. (read more)

Independents are great trucks, the only pro trucks I have ever owned (1989-2006). I have skated with a lot of others, they maybe lighter but not the same. Indys are strong, great for grinding, drops & are very responsive for smooth turns & recovering. I love my Indys!
I recommend the Stage-8 not the S-9. The guys at Indy need to make them right with a Stage 10. Indys for ever!

Independent Trucks are really good. I bought them second hand and my friend then bought them from me after id had them for 6 months and there still in good skating order. As I say they are indestructible. They are a bit heavy, and hard to get used to flip tricks on, but hey who cares. If you need trucks to last you a long time (e.g. bomb proof ones) these are for you. There is no other company like Independent, they have been core for 25 years and they still crush every other company. They don't need this and that to be good, they just are, and nothing feels the same after you ride them. You will be sold with one push. (read more)

The Independent Trucks trucks have lots of grind in them. But they're the HEAVIEST TRUCKS I've ever used. I've had mine for about 3 months. I used to be able to grind ledges 1.5 feet high but now I can't even ollie that high with these heavy trucks. They also cost a lot. (read more)

I got a pair of Independent Trucks for christmas and i'm still riding them. I prefer doing the bigger stuff like drops and gaps and such, and these trucks have helped me so much. I used to skate Phantom's till the damn kingpin kept breaking if you land not-so-perfectly, I totally broke grind kings around the part that holds the bushings, the axle on my tensors is a little bigger on one side of the hanger, then on the other, and pretty much to sum this all up...Independents have lasted me...
